@carl_13... carlene?? Hey! Don't worry about the breathing! It will just come naturally in time. Thanks and see you again!  Keep on practicing!!!!

@jan888... I've only tried the iyengar in Rockwell and also the fundamentals of Corey wills.  Both are equally good. :)

That's why Iyengar is better for you.  Unlike ashtanga it may be a bit to difficult.  start with iyengar atleast it is more for beginners and they could easily assist you with your asana. :)

Nope I don't teach iyengar.  I only teach ashtanga. :p

@clumsish... Thanks! This month i'm there every wednesday.  I teach ashtanga mysore style.  Join us sometimes!

hi there last years rates were around 700php for their 1st week beginners trial package. I dont know how much is it right now. Hopefully its still the same. They have good teachers as well. I know some of them, they can guide you through the poses.

As for losing weight, this is just my opinion...if you keep on practicing any form of yoga. Things happen. Losing the flab is just a small portion of a large chunk of potential w/in the practice.

I am extremely happy for you and for the people viewing this forum. Hope to see you and the rest in a studio near you

Hope you could share your yoga experience when you join a class.

anong meaning ng mysore? also, when you teach, do you separate the beginners from non-beginners? I've attended ashtanga class before, and they separated yun beginners sa mga expers

I just want to share something. based din kasi ito sa experience ko. I think, for the beginners, it's better if you attend the basic class muna (like yoga fundamentals or maybe beginner's workshop) before attending other kind of yoga din. At least, if you know the basics, aware ka sa dapat gawin. usually kasi, we worry about the breathing and the proper way of doing the pose and the temperature in the yoga room, so nakakalito. so imbis na maenjoy mo yoga, namomoblema ka sabay sabay tapos parang hindi mo ma-enjoy.

and don't just attend any kind of yoga class. you can try difference kinds, tapos see what fits you. like napansin ko sa friends ko, they do bikram yoga kasi ito yun "sikat" and maraming artista daw nagbibikram. sabi ko naman, if hindi naman yan kaya ng body mo, and if hindi mo type yun ganyan na yoga, what's the point?

yun lang =)

hahaha...I usually see my friend who just came from corporate 88, medyo basa siya sa pagmamadali pumunta sa office. Or baka nagbihis lang or hindi naligo.
The drawback of taking morning bikram yoga classes in corporate88 is that, since madami babae nagpapractice mahaba queue. If your willing to go through that. Ayos lang naman. Take a 10 sec rest on final savasana then run towards the hehe  :P

oo! after attending gentle flow, bikram, iyengar, ashtanga, bhakti flow, vinyasa anasura, sa class lang ni corey ako natuwa. although it's hard, he really encourages you to do your best. minsan nagjojoke pa, at least it helps me forget about the "pain" of a certain pose. bikram yaw ko talaga, I had a bad experience with the teacher I attended before, so feel ko natrauma na ako haha I love vinyasa din, pero I want to familiarize myself muna sa mga basic poses, para hindi ako mahirapan sa vinyasa.

I must say some bikram teachers dont know how to teach...or medyo gigil magpush ng students.....  :(

were you able to watch the mysore video?

true! Nawawalan ako sa mood if siksikan. 1 reason why fave ko yoga fundamentals is because it was a 6:30am class, so fewer people. Ngayon naging 5:45pm yun class, hindi na ako makaattend because I have part time from afternoon till evening.

maybe qc area? Makati kasi alam ko mahal because well, it's Makati. Bikram is also expensive kasi it's "famous". pero meron mga promo ngayon ibang yoga studios, cheaper if you attend yoga morning classes. and meron isang yoga studio sa qc, may promo rin (through dealgrocer or ensogo ata.. can't remember, you can't check it out sa net though). meron din isa sa malate, along mabini ata, masmura yun rate niya compare sa makati.
I think 1 reason din na mahal rates dito sa pinas is because kunti lang yun mga yoga studios. Maybe a...

question, when you ladies have your period, do you also do yoga? Ang alam ko lang kasi, if meron ka, hindi pwede inversion. So meaning for other poses, ok lang basta kaya ng katawan? Or it depends din sa lakas ng period mo?
