^Based sa experience ko, the advantage of it is I was able to change my approach in life (lalim ba? LOL). And it taught me how to stay calm during hard poses tapos in time, na-apply ko din sa life ko. And sa approach din sa pag-exercise. For example, stretching. if sa mga clubs, you stretch by reaching your toes and if it's hard, you think "Kaya mo yan! Parang eating food lang yan! madali yan! go go go!" but with yoga, they teach you to "empty your mind, pretend it's easy", and you don't do the "ugly faces" when it's hard. Pero advice ko, know what your goal is. If goal mo lang is pumayat, join group exercises, cardio etc, you don't have to pay a lot and do bikram yoga. Unless you want to change your lifestyle (calmer, more peaceful, etc etc), yoga can help you mentally and physically.
may taga pulse yoga ba dito? we're supposed to attend a beginners class. pagdating dun, kanya kanya mga tao sa mga poses nila. the instructor didn't bat an eyelash too when she saw us, parang hangin lang kami na dumaan. sobrang turn off. nagpa-refund nalang kami. tsk tsk.
Nice post...Ur still practicing at bliss?
I'm asking this for my sis. pwede ba ang yoga sa mga nakapag-undergo ng scoliosis surgery? she had the surgery more than 10 years ago pa, she can move about quite normally naman, but she does have a stainless steel rod inside. hehe. she can do low-impact exercises. is yoga "low-impact?"
