Any Yoga classes within Taguig Area?

I tried Barre @ The Spa, di ko sya gusto, it's medyo taxing unlike yoga where it's more relaxing and non-evasive.

Where in taguig? lower?

Bikram Yoga or Hot yoga can make you lose weight, i lost some while doing this and it's a great way to detoxify your body also.

@iluvescadasport great job on the 3x a week! Where do you do yoga? At home by yourself or are you enrolled in a yoga class?

nahirapan ako gawin 3x a week hehe Once ko lang nagawa.  And I don't do yoga when it's the time of the month. I enrolled at yoga class. Minsan kapag sunday, I do yoga at home pag nasa mood, pero yun mga alam ko lang. I don't want to try other poses, mamya mali pa gawa ko, masmahirap na.

Hi! I'm new to yoga. I just started last last week and I only do it at home since I cant afford to go to classes (I just graduated and no more allowance for me! haha.) I just downloaded some instructional videos in torrent and I think it's Ashtanga yoga that I'm doing :)

I try to do it everyday since I have all the time in the world pa. Haha. I decided to do yoga because it's the only exercise I think I can do? I'm not a very active/athletic person kasi :) I'm also not flexible but I hope to be more flexible after practicing yoga for some time. It's still hard for me to hold some of the poses but I hope hold it longer gradually :)

I used to use the puzzle mats (for kids) as my yoga mat, HAHA. But I already replaced it with a true yoga mat I bought in Landmark. It's pink, btw. :) I don't know what to look for in a yoga mat so I just bought the cheapest one :)) I'm just starting anyway :)

Hi mga sis! This yoga thread is truly getting more and more interesting. I just wanna share with you a post from Philippine Kettlebell Club founder Nico D'Haenen which he shared with PEx regarding how kettlebells can actually complement ones Yoga skills.

"Was wondering if any of you includes strength training in combination with Yoga practice. Kettlebells for example?

Kettlebells are pretty low-tech, and can have a huge impact on your fitness level. The kettlebell challenges both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements. Even how comprehensive a form of exercise Yoga is, I believe there are things Kettlebells can offer to boost your Yoga skills to a whole new level. Training with Kettlebells strengthens the tendons and ligaments, making the connective tissue resilient and the muscles strong. Plus training with bells stabilizes the shoulder joints and strengthens the hips and back in powerful ways. This you can imagine will create wiry strength and explosive agility to add to your game"

Thanks and hope to hear your thoughts about it  :) -- kettlebell_gurl

Anybody knows a good place for beginners?
Fort, Pasig or Makati area?

i also haven't started on yoga yet but i'm really keen on trying it. planning on doing so after holy week - hope it pushes thru. a lot suggested that i try iyengar at the LKG bldg on ayala in makati as they really teach you how to do the poses so that's where i'm starting - keeping my fingers crossed.  :D
