my son will be celebrating his 7th birthday next month and we're planning to spend it in DREAM WORLD and MOVIE WORLD in Gold coast. Can someone please suggest an 8 day itinerary for sydney and goldcoast? We'll be travelling with 2 kids kasi and i need to plan everything para hindi hassle. TIA!
 
 btw, ano bang weather dun kapag april? does someone here know how much a nanny's salary should be in AUSTRALIA? I'm fixing our nanny's visa kasi and kelangan ko gumawa ng affidavit of support. HELP!

mukhang matindi talaga ang storm. Kaya pala most family and friends were checking on us.  Good enough hindi yan umabot sa Geelong. We only experienced heavy rains with no strong winds.

^^ hm, how long are you spending in sydney? for the themeparks I would suggest one day each and then the other days just general sight seeing at the Gold Coast. For Sydney I would spend a day at Taronga Zoo, 1 day in the CBD sight seeing (Opera House, Harbour Bridge), maybe 1 day for a daytrip to the Blue Mountains and another day at somewhere like Bondi or Manly Beach.

It's getting cooler now here in Sydney and in April it will be quite cool.. probably around low 20s. I usually just wear a light cover up like a cardigan most days.

For nanny salary you would defintely need to pay them minimum wage which is approx $600 per week. From quick research on google though, nannies can earn anywhere between $18-$30 an hour, depending in experience. hth!

^sis lalei, ako inabutan ng hail storm sa southern cross. Isa ako sa pina-evacuate sa loob ng spencer mall (dating dfo).  Nakita ko pa nga yung bumigay na part ng roof sa souther cross station.  Good thing hindi wala dyan sa Geelong. 

Btw, di ko pa na-send pictures. I'll email it over the weekend.  Been really busy lang.

^Sis, I'm from Paranaque.  Philpost is the Philippine Post Office sis   Puede yan kahit saang malaking Post Office (wag lang yung parang mga Express kiosks nila sa mga mall ganun).  But if you can drop the box directly to the Post Office near the Domestic Airport, I was told it could save you at least a week kasi dun pina-process lahat ng EMS freight.

When I first came here more than a year ago, I sent tons of my stuff here -- at least 4 20-kg boxes -- we got them from just between 7-10 working days.  I can't open the Philpost links anymore but if I remember correctly, it's P600 for the first kilo and P350 for every succeeding.  There's a limit of 20kg per box but no limit on how many boxes you can send.

is it funny to use a scooter when going to office and wearing office attire? distance is around 2 kms. i am thinking of this since last week. a bicycle is not an option as it requires bike parking space.  with scooter, i can easily fold it and keep under my office desk. thanks

^Jhey, as long as you can "carry it". But, have you tried doing it even without wearing office attire? 2 km is a fair walk (I used to walk  2km to and from work for 1.5 years) so I'm guessing it's difficult to do it with a scooter. My husband tried it but he finds it more difficult and tiring than walking.

^thanks Sis lalei, i have tried the scooter this afternoon while my daughter was playing in the park, it was very tiring.  now i'm thinking of using a bicycle instead as what i've read from other posts somewhere however is there a certain rule where bicycles must be parked at the bicycle parking area? i can see some bikes that are just attached to a post but i wanted to make sure to avoid any penalties or whatsoever. or they don't get penalties at all?

the reason why i am thinking about this is because i wanted to avoid being late for work as i also bring my daughter to school every morning plus after office i don't need to run to pick up my daughter from school. this can save me some minutes. please help=)

I'm worried coz 20kl lang allowed check in baggage nila. I have sooo many things that I want to bring coz I know it's quite expensive there.

guys, i need your help, if i wish to get my certificate of residence status in melbourne, is there a DIAC office other than Dandenong? I heard there was one in CBD, would any of u be kind enough to give it to me? Also, if i go there to get my certificate, do i need to have an appointment? or I can just go there straight away, together with my completed form and identifying documents? thanks in advance to those who will respond.

though not going to Australia, i normally flew via Cathay. yes, 20 kgs ang naka-state sa ticket however, i think they allow around 30kgs or something as long it won't be in 1 baggage. you can give Cathay a ring to confirm.
