I feel for you sis... ang hirap talaga pag nade-deny ka kasi parang buong pagkatao mo pinagdududahan. Ang laki nga ng kinikita nila sa application pa lang. Anyway, pray na lang that by next time na pag-apply mo i-grant ka na.

^ thanks sis! ay naku gusto ko nga mag protesta haha, e kaso useless kasi before you say your piece pa parang before ka pa lang nila i interview e they know na if they're going to approve or deny you. yung reason nila sa akin is di strong ang economic ties ko so they presumed may intention ako to migrate ( siguro para mag tnt) . ay naku, if they only check my documents, been to europe quite a lot of time so if may intention ako mag tnt, malamang sa italy or anywhere sa europe no... .sana nga sis next application ko, ma approve na

Mga sis advice naman before ko file ang application ko for tourist visa. Sweldo ko [textspeak!] kasi is 18k a month. Ok [textspeak!] ba sabihin na ako mag shoulder ng trip ko or parents ko? Maniniwala ba sila na sa 18k kaya ko mag tour sa US or much better na sabihin ko na parents ko ang gagstos? Or possible ba na if ever mapakiusapan ko un HR namin sa work na taasan un sweldo ko for visa purposes lang naman makakalusot kaya yun sa consul na hindi na nila check un ITR ko? Help naman mga sis. Salamat!

I just want to thank this thread. I've been following this thread eversince I've decided to apply for a visa. Me and my 1 year old baby's appointment was last dec 13 130pm. Expedited yung process since I priority nila mga May baby or senior citizens so ala man kami 1 hour sa loob ng embassy. My husband was also allowed inside to accompany me. We were approved grabe ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. All they asked was my husband's last trip to the us and how long. By the way he has 10 year multiple visa and has been to the us twice and longest stay was 6 weeks. Ayun, pgkatapos they asked for our marriage cert abd baby's birth cert. After that sabi ng consul "congratulations you have been approved of your visa and you'll receive your passports in a week. Para akong nanaginip haha. Dami ko dala documents pero ala man tinanong na samin kahit na passbook. Maybe because nakita nila na hindi naman interesado mgtnt si hubby dti what more ngayon na me kasama kami baby. Thank you sa inyong lahat for the pointers. The consul nga pala was suplado, yung 2 bago samin nadeny kaya I was so nervous. Pero syempre don't let them get into you. Kelangan smart ka pag sa interview. Yung lang po share ko. Got my visa 3 days after 10 yrs multiple entry b1b2 pati si baby.

By the way I'm 5 mos pregnant pero di naman ako tinanong bout it cgro di lang nahalata sa damit ko. Dunno.

Might visit the US after I give birth nalang baka mgk prob ako sa mga io if I travel with a big tummy. Palagay nyo? Dami ngjojoke skin n doon n daw ako manganak para citizen agad. Possible ba yun?

Has anybody paid for visa applics lately? How much is the rate in PHP at BPI nowadays? Getting applics for 6 people in the next two weeks so trying to find out more or less how much I need to bring to the bank. Anyway, I'll check tomorrow the trend ng palitan.

Also, does anyone have an idea as to when are the common soonest available appt dates nowadays for non-vrp b1/b2 applicants? I'm targeting my 4 kids' and MIL and SIL's renewals. TIA!

Hi guys, need you advice. I would like to apply for a US Visa and travel to the States in May for a 2-wk vacation. I'm 24 years old, single and employed. My brother and I were petitioned by our parents who just turned immigrants last year. I am planning to travel to the States at the same time my parents will be there because 1.) They will be paying for the trip 2.) They are old (yet still working) and I only see them once a year. My dad just turned 60 but he is still working in Saudi. He and my mom travel to the states every 6 months (I believe this a requirement for them as permanent residents.) Given this, what do you think are my chances of getting approved? I have bank statements with considerable amount but they are joint accounts with my father. Is this okay? Or will this be questioned during the interview? Also, do they usually ask the reason why a petition was filed? I'm afraid that this will lessen my chances of getting approved. Should I say that the petition was filed by my parents for us to have the option of living in the US in the FUTURE but it is definitely not in our plans anytime soon? Is this a convincing answer? Really hope someone can help me.

ako sweldo ko nung nag apply ako last year mas mataas lang ng konti syo. they gave me a 10 year multiple entry visa. naka declare dun sa form na sinagutan ko na mother ko yung mag shoulder ng trip ko. saka sa apartment ng kapatid ko yung naka declare na titirahan ko dun.

sana wag mo nang idamay pa yung HR nyo kasi integrity issue yan, mamaya may maka alam pa nyan sa office nyo na pinapadoctor mo yung documents mo, masira pa reputation mo dyan.

dala ko ITR, certificate of employment, bank certificates, LTO registration etc. nung interview ko walang tinignan na documents na dala ko.  pero kasama sa question ng consul ang tungkol sa salary ko. sinabi ko yung totoo. after that question i really felt sad because i know that there's a huge possibility that they would deny me. hindi siguro ako malulungkot kung di ko narinig yung mga naunang applicants na sinasabi kung magkano yung sweldo nila. meron kasing nauna sa akin na 5 times yung monthly income nya sa monthly income ko pero denied sya.

kahit na feeling ko wala na akong pag asa makakuha ng visa dahil maliit ang sweldo ko, pinilit kong sagutin ng maayos lahat ng tanong ng consul. i was honest with her about my salary, family etc. luckily she approved my visa. just be honest. do not risk your reputation for a visa. may ibang chance pa naman if ever di ka maapprove. good luck.

congratulations to those who got approved.. we will be having our visa renewal this coming january 18.. pero di na kami under VRP since 2008 pa nagexpire yung visa namin ng brother ko and may mga kids kaming isasama as new applicants.. i am a single mom.. i have a 1year 2months old son, using my own surname (N/A ang father sa Birthcertificate niya) tapos my brother also had a visa eversince mga 80's pa, just like me.. together with my sister in law.. ia-apply namin ang mga anak namin tapos magpaparenew na rin kami ng expired visas namin.. i am really nervous since it will be my first time to be interviewed although since i was a kid my visa na ako.. kahit kasi walang appearance dati, nakakapag-parenew eh.. well, anyway, i am now 30 years old.. i have my own business, my brother also has a business.. sobrang ninenerbyos ako.. possible kaya na isang consul lang kaming lahat on the interview? kasi isang surname lang kaming 7..

i plan to apply for us visa pero tourist lang. may tanong lang ako. student palang kasi ako, so wala akong mapapakitang prof of income tapos sabi pwede naman yung sa parents ang problem ko hindi naman valid marriage ng parents ko. bale mom ko yung pangalan parin nya sa pagkadalaga ang gamit tapos lahat ng ari arian naka name under her. hindi ba ako mahihirapan sa pag apply pag ganun? yung kamag anak na tutuluyan ko dun kung sakali eh sa side ng dad ko. tapos kung mag aapply ba ako tapos madeny (wag naman sana) kelan ulit pwede mag apply? possible ba mag apply pag student palang?

when i applied for a tourist visa last year, the petition that my sister filed for us was already approved. the consul did not ask about the petition. she just asked where my parents were. i told her the that both of my parents are here in the Philippines. pero nung umalis ako, nag migrate na mom ko sa US.
 
iba na yata yung case mo kasi both of your parents are already immigrants. but you have a job and a brother that's here in the Philippines right?  when he/she ask you about your trip, give an answer that would assure the consul that you will go back here in the Philippines.

in my case the consul asked when do i plan to travel. i told her "i'm leaving on december and i'll be back on january. i will use my remaining paid leaves for this year and all of my paid leaves next year." sa tingin ko yang sagot kong yan ang nagpaapprove ng visa ko. prior to that question the consul asked me about my salary. my salary is not that high. in fact when i mentioned my salary, the consul looked disappointed and i thought that she would deny me. but i was wrong she gave me a 10 year multiple entry visa.
 
btw, it's just a a short interview, maybe it was just 3-5mins with a few questions like: do you have other relatives in the US, how long have you been working for your employer, how much is your monthly salary, where are your parents, when do you plan to travel. those where the questions that the consul asked me. while i was waiting for my turn, i could hear the questions of the consul to other applicants. mostly about how much they were earning and where are their family (parents/children), why would they go there. show them that you're going to the US to spend money like you're going there to shop, sight seeing etc.
 
during the interview i had bank certificates but it's a joint account with my mom.   the consul never asked any documents from me but i came in prepared with all the documents that maybe asked during the interview.

^^hi summer! How much is the current application fee in PHP? I know it depends on the exchange rate. Just wanted to get an estimate of funds I need for 6 applicants. Is it stil 6200-ish per person?

but the best advice I got here is that: isang tanong, isang sagot.

based lang din sa experience ko, the consul asked me about my mom's petition which she didn't file. He asked din if I have other relatives aside from my aunt who is based here na in the Philippines kahit na US Citizen pa siya.

Same with me (as well as 3 of my friends who applied successfully) no documents were asked pero syempre you need to prepare pa rin kahit papaano.

As for chances, nobody can really tell... meron din kasing maraming assets but still get denied. [textspeak!] just hope for the best and pray that God's will be done. God bless sa application, sis

^^ sis summer- nakakuha ka na ba ng interview date mo ?

my case naman is different.  i was denied twice. first last 2009,  i didnt say that i have a petition daw. naman! it was clearly indicated on the form and when the consul asked me about it during the interview,  i even  repeated and cleared that it was my mom who filed for it, but she passed away  earlier that year so it was my brother who took over
then  just earlier this december, i applied again, i was not asked about the petition again, but the lady consul, pinag initan ang sweldo ko, di ko daw ma establish ang economic ties ko sa outside the phils.

by the way, both applications where c/o of my company, so lahat ng expenses, company ko magbabayad. they've been wanting me to give this us incentive trip a long time ago na since ako na lang ang wala pang us visa sa mga employees.
i was distraught of course when i got denied.  i had a colleague who applied, bago pa lang siya sa company,  2x pa lang siya nagtravel to europe and  nabigyan siya ng visa,, and the only thing they asked her was " how long was your travel to europe?"  10 yrs visa ang equivalent
hay... iniisip ko na lang  NOT MY TIME YET

Hi guys, thanks for the help and advices.

I haven't scheduled my interview yet because I'm still trying to get hold of supporting documents I need. Do I need to present original copies of the docs? I've no problem with getting original COE, ITR, bank statements, etc. But I'm also planning to bring the a copy of the petition paper (in case they ask for it) and my Dad's COE (in case they also ask) and it might take time if they are going to send me the original copies since my parents are not based here. I'm hoping to get the earliest possible schedule since I also have to leave for another country late January.

bring the original documents of your COE, ITR and bank certificate. yung sa petition paper dinala ko din. pero scanned copy lang kasi pinadala lang sa akin ng sister ko yun thru email. since titira ako sa sister ko, pinag aralan ko din yung employment history nya at yung mga previous address nya (saan states sya tumira before). pati job description ng sister ko pinag aralan ko para in case tanungin ako, alam ko sasagot ko sa kanila.
