hi mga sisses!  i heard bago na ang procedure sa pag apply ng us visa. my friend here willl have her interview sa dec 8. sa mga kaka aapply lang na sisses natin, paki advise naman mga "how to's" please, need pa ba magdala ng picture? thanks much!

^^I agree with sis k_heart. Yung sister ko twice na na-deny kasi nurse siya. Nakapag-tour na rin siya ng Asia and Europe. Meron pa siyang student visa sa UK, bale nagbakasyon siya dito at nag-apply ng tourist visa pero kahit yun hindi enough para bigyan siya ng visa. Yung cousin ko naman family sila na nag-apply ng tourist visa, na-aaproved lahat except siya dahil nga nurse siya. Hindi naman siguro lahat ng nursing grad ay automatic na deny, meron din namang sigurong na-approve, mainit lang siguro sila sa mga nurse.

Oo nga eh, mainit talaga sila sa mga nursing graduates. Ganito na lang, pag para sayo para sayo... pag hindi hindi.

mga sis, what's the earliest available date for an interview?

@kylakirst, just tell the truth.  Tell the consul that you want to go on a vacation with your kids, where you will be staying, your target vacation dates, how long you intend to stay, etc.  Be calm and answer the questions directly, walang paligoy-ligoy.

mga sis help naman po. mag apply na ko ng US Visa ko. kakabayad ko [textspeak!] kanina sa bank tapos mag fill up na din ko later ng application online. kaya lang hindi ko agad na notice na sa August 2012 na expiration ng passport ko so if ever ma interview ko this december then declare ko n january un plano ng pag alis ko pwede pa kaya un passport ko? Thanks!:)

Hi sis, pwede pa yun! Although di ba, pag passport, we are encourage to renew 6 months before ng expiration. pasok pa sa time frame ang passport mo. And if nabigyan ka na ng US visa and you want to renew agad yung passport mo, it will not pose naman a problem. Just bring both passports, the passport kung nasan ang US Visa and your new passport. Always bring it together. Hindi naman yan sis issue. Kasi our passport is 5 years lang and US VISA ay 10 years kaya talagang lagi nangyayari na expired na passport pero US VISA ay hindi pa.
Ako sis, sa loob ng 10 years, naka 3 passports kaya dala ko lagi si old passport kung san andun si  US Visa.

sis k_heart and to my other sisses ask ko lang may interview kasi kami ng husband ko this coming nov 21 ano kaya maganda i reason namin sa consul pag ask kung ano gagawin namin sa us?diba the consul give us green form and naka pending yung approval ng mga kids ko kasi advise kami ng consul na mag apply kaming mag asawa kasi dun i base ang approval ng mga kids sa result ng application namin,ano kaya maganda answer pag ask kmi kung ano gagawin namin sa us,hoping mabigyan po ako ng suggestio.thanks

Kung ano tanong, yun lang ang sasagutin mo sis! Don't give additional infos na hindi tinatanong.
At pag nag -ask na yung consul (if ever i-ask) na kung bakit dati ay yung mga kids lang ang ikukuha nyo ng visa pero now ay pati kayong mag-asawa, maybe you can tell that you want to grab na the opportunity for your whole family to have a grand family vacation sa US. and instead of allowing just your kids to enjoy and experience US, both you and your hubby,wants to share that experience.

I have a question.  Sana meron ditong may ganitong experience.  Actually, hindi ko pa ito nare-research thoroughly.

My husband was petitioned by his mom when he was single.  At the time he was petitioned, he was a holder of a B1/B2 visa na.  He wants to apply for another B1/B2 visa via VRP.  Magkaka-problem ba siya sa VRP application?  He is qualified based on the criteria for VRP.  Next year kasi ang expiration ng B1/B2 visa niya.

As of now, considered as ineligible na siya for his petition, tama ba?  Kasi he is married na.  Wala kasing official statement from the INS that he is deemed to have abandoned his petition application when he got married.

545am andun na kmi, may line na
then in a little while, umandar na ang line, nagpapa-pasok na
at the main gate, gave the passport & DS160 form
the lady gave us a pink form to fill out
enter the premises, scan of our bags
then a line going to counter, we gave again the passport & DS160 form, then the lady gave us a NUMBER
then enter the door with thorough bag inspection
seat down and wait for the advise if mag proceed na sa counter for another verification
while waiting we fill out our pink forms (personal info)
when called at the counter  we gave again our passport, DS160 & the pink form,
the lady just asked us who filled out our DS160 forms
seat down again on another area and wait for number to be flashed for finger scanning
at the finger scanning counter, we also gave our picture
back to seat and wait for our NUMBER to be flashed for interview
around this time its only like 6:40am

we have to wait kasi closed pa lahat ng windows for interview
it opened around 730am na.

mabilis ang pagflash ng numbers kasi madami nang open na windows for interview (windows 5-13)
by the way numbers flashed are in RANDOM order (so you have to be attentive , so you wont miss your number)

we were called for windows 6 , Guy Consul definitely a foreigner but can speak tagalog very well

we approached the window

Consul: magandang umaga!
Hubby & me: magandang umaga
(we hand over our passport & DS160 form)

While scanning our forms, simultaneously typing at his keyboard and reading/looking at his monitor he asked:
Consul: saan nyo gusto magpunta sa US?
Hubby: Kung pwedeng East Cost at West Coast sana eh.
Consul: Masyadong generic, san lugar?
Hubby: California
Consul: (looking  at my hubby) KUYA, magkano ang sweldo mo?
Hubby: XXX (amount) po monthly
Consul: (now looking at me) eh ikaw ATE, magkano ang sweldo mo?
Me: XXX (amount) po monthly
Consul: Nakalabas na ba kayo ng bansa?
Me: Kagagaling lang po namin sa Canada
Consul: May anak?
Hubby: wala pa po?
Consul: (sounding like usiserong palaka) ay bakit?
Hubby: Maybe in God’s time
Consul: Tama
Consul: (looking at my hubby) Anong Course mo?
Me: Pareho po kaming Graduate ng BS Commerce major in Accounting, classmate po kami nung college
Consul: (Smiling) ay talaga
(Consul nakatingin sa monitor nya, may binabasa)

Then…
Consul: Ok , approve na ang visa nya, ipapadala ko na lang sa inyo sa isang lingo.
Hubby and Me: Salamat po!
Hubby: (paalis na lang kami, himirit pa) – Ang galing galing mo naman mag tagalog
Then the Consul smiled.

When I looked at my watch nung palabas kami ng US Embassy its almost 7:45am
So all in all andun kami ng 2 hours (not bad).

Sorry if long read, naaliw lang talaga ako sa Consul, kasi parang pinagpa-praktisan nya lang ang mga iniinterview nya para makapag tagalog sya...ha ha ha

sana multiple entry makuha namin.

guys, we have a schedule na on january.. nakapagsubmit na kami ng D160 online.. but we weren't able to print it.. tapos nung i checked online di na siya pwede maiprint, sabi hindi daw kailangan ang D160 on the actual interview.. ok lang bang hindi namin nai-print? basta yung confirmation note and the email na mei barcode ang dala right? please enlighten me.. thanks in advance

^yung mismong copy is just made available for you, for reference. The embassy needs Lang the confirmation page of the DS160.

early next year my sister and dad would be renewing their visa. yung visa ng dad ko noon hindi tourist visa kasi graduate student sya sa US for 2-3 years  (di ko alam tawag). coz of his visa he was able to bring my mom to the US at that time. dun na pinanganak yung isang kapatid ko. at yung kapatid kong yun ang nag petition sa aming lahat.

approved na yung petition ng dad ko, ayaw lang nya mag submit ng documents kasi feeling namin ayaw nya mag migrate dun. nauna pang napetition ng kapatid ko yung dad namin kesa sa mom namin, yung mom ko nag migrate na sa US last year. gusto sana ng mom ko na dalawin sya ng dad ko. semi retired na ang dad ko kasi senior citizen na sya. maliit lang din yung income nya, he relies on us for his financial needs. makakakuha kaya dad ko ng visa kung konti na lang effort pwede na sya mag migrate dun?

Hi sis! You can't view earlier dates kung me appointment ka na, even if you call the hotline kasi after you cancel dun pa lang nila mao-open 'yung system. It happened to me last July, naka-sched na ako kaso sobrang late ng date. So what I did hinintay ko na lang 'yung kasama ko sa office and sila nakakita na me earlier slots pa. I cancelled mine tapos nakisabay ako sa kanila (luckily, I got single entry). Then now maga-apply ako ng visa ulet.

So after I paid last Tuesday, when I checked the online appointment sched January 6-10 na earliest pero hindi muna ako kumuha ng sched. Every 2 hours nagchecheck ako then luckily nag-open ng Dec. 8. Minsan kasi me biglaang nagka-cancel kaya nago-open 'yung slot.
