Anyone tried to travel to the us a few days before their visa expires? I'm going there next month and next month na rin mageexpire visa ko . Although sabi naman sa us embassy website, you can use the visa up to the last day of expiration to apply at the point of entry. I just wanted to ask kung meron na nakaexperience dito? Nagtanong ba an IO dito or doon about it?

^I have. Just this past summer, I left for Vegas 23apr. My visa expired 26apr. Don't worry about it! The IOs won't even question you about it cos you can use your visa till its expiry date (meaning you must land and enter the US not later than the expiry date on it). I stayed in the US till May.

Hence, the reason for my VRP renewal last Tuesday.

Well you know sis, sayang sa airfare. Pero mukang I'm resorting to that. Sis, when I go back to Philippines ba my timelimit pa ang stay ko dito?

^^Hi sis Kylakirst! Thanks for giving us an update re your family's interview. O, in fairness, parang pareho kami mag-isip ng consul. he!he!he!
Yah, medyo unique talaga yung case nyo sis. Kasi from exprience, nakabased talaga sa parents yung chances ng kids na minor kung mabibigyan din ng US Visa.
It means naman sis na binigyan talaga ng chances yung kids nyo kasi they can outright deny them a US Visa pero sa case nyo hinold lang nila.
Good luck sis, and yes they appreciate honesty! : )

Prepare nyo na lang sis yung mga papers na magiging strong yumg reason nyo para bumalik ng Pinas, family ties, financial capability,etc.
And pray sis! Update mo uli kami! : )

sis totoo ba na mas malaki chance pag in family ang application? pwede ko kaya isabay si hubby and my kids? or mas okey na kami na lang 2 muna ni hubby?....
si hubby kasi mga 9 yrs ago na deny for a tourist visa.although nakapunta na sya dati when he was still a kid ,and nagrtravel na tlaga sya bfore in states, canada , japan , china ,etc...
sis pano kaya yan im just a plain housewife right now..so bagsak nako kagad no? ilalagay ko tlaga dun sa work ko is-housewife??....how much ba yun minimum ideal amount na dapat ipakita ko

Sis, depende na rin sa inyo, if feeling mo mas ok chances or testing the waters ika nga kung kayong 2 lang muna ni Hubby, na kahit anong mangyari, approved or disapproved, at least pang 12K pa lang ang nawala. Ang mahal din kasi ng US Visa application fee.
Or if gusto mo isang hirap na lang, ok din ang buong family na agad.

Sis, as a housewife, yes, oks lang kung ialalagay mo na housewife ka. Or do you have a home-based business like halimbawa sa internet or multiply thingie? Pag sa US Embassy, mas better talaga na yung totoo yung ilalagay. if you don't have any means ng income, sa hubby mo mapupunta ang burden, na kaya nya yung buong US Trip nyo or financial capability at reason to go back sa Philippines.
Ano ba reason kung bakit sya nadeny before sis? But 9 years is a long time ago na.
Yung boss ko, nadeny daw sya ng US Visa nung dalaga pa sya kasi daw sabi parang kulang pa sya sa financial capability. Nag apply uli sya nung malaki na sweldo nya at mataas taas na position nya sa company, at yun,nabigyan na sya ng visa.

Sis, sa lahat nung applications ko or even sa hubby and kids ko, hindi na kami nagpakita ng passbook kasi wala namang laman passbook namin.he!he!he!
Actually, yung tinitingnan naman nila if ever magdala ka ng passbook ay yung history ng pasok at labas ng pera sa account. Pa-print ka na lang sis ng bank statement for the last 6 months. Kasi kung biglang nagdeposit ka lang mg malaking pera ng 1 month or 2 months before ng US Visa interview, it will not hold that much weight kung yun ang 1 time lang na may malaking amount kasi mukhang show money lang sya. Mas ok yung constant in and out ng money in a monthly basis.

Sis Carrieso, i think same lang chances kung kayo 2 ni hubby or kasama na ang kids nyo,  sa chances of getting a US Visa.  Yung  chances ng kids naka-depend sa parents nila.
Pero yun nga,kung kukunan nyo rin ng Visa ang kids nyo,mas less time-consuming kung sabay sabay na. Matrabaho kasi.

Naku, ganyan din ako nung ininterview buong family for US Visa, excited and kabado! Hindi nga ako natulog sis, talagang instressed  ko sarili ko. Asar sa akin hubby ko kasi pareho kaming puyat sa day ng interview,7:30am kasi ang kinuha namin.ha!ha!

Usually sis, kung ano yung nilagay natin sa application papers, yun din ang itatanong sa atin. Like saan, nagtatrabaho, how many years na. Why do you want to go to the US, how many weeks or months will you stay? San kayo mag istay, etc. For the kids, konti lang tanong. Ang sagot lang lagi,  To vsit Disneyland because i  want to see Mickey Mouse! ha!ha!ha!

^7:30am din sked namin. mukha kaming mga zombie nun hahahaha i opted for nov. 2 para hindi na kelangan mag absent ng kids sa school.

i've been asking my kids every now and then, kung ano isasagot nila pag tinanong sila ng ganun. sagot ng both girls ko "i want to travel all over the world". mejo kakaiba sa ibang kids hahahaha

I'm not super familiar with border crossing rules but my family and I went to Ciudad Juarez on a day trip. We crossed the border at El Paso, TX, where we were staying for a few days. And my visa was A2 that time, not B1/B2. Sorry, not much help.

My B1 visa's gonna expire next week and will re-apply next month... I was issued Single entry ood for 90-days. I got denied 3 weeks before I re-applied then 'yun nga, got lucky the second time but it was just 90-days visa.

How true na madali na lang daw ako makakakuha ng renewal-- meaning, hindi na ako gaano mahihirapan in the sense na made-deny pa?
