^sis k_heart natawa ako sa step no. 2 haha..  na-imagine ko family pic.  thanks for sharing your experience by the way.  abang abang lang ako here and hope you guys and GT are still here in 2017. hehe  that's when my 10-yr B1/B2 visa will expire.

for any sisses who applied thru the VRP, post lang kayo ng experiences ha.  im curious to know din if may nade-deny sa program na to. 

@mrs. sweet, goodluck sis.  i can't give you advise yet.. both hubby and i got our visas when we were still single.  but we intend to apply for our future baby's visa if we get blessed with one this year

Nung araw daw kasi sis as im 70's pa yata, not sure though, pag kids kasama ang parents sa picture. Nakakita na ako nyan dun sa super old na colleague ko, although Dual Citizen sya. Kaya bigla ko sya naremember.he!he!

buti na lang may ganitong thread.. balak ko din kumuha ng US visa for next year naman.. madali kaya kung tourist lang? and paano kung kumuha ako tapos hindi ako natuloy pumunta? wala bang issue kapag ganon?

I finally completed my DS-160 tonight by uploading my photo. I proceeded to the ustraveldocs.com/ph website to schedule an appt. If I checked the tick box on the VRP page asking if I fulfilled all of the 9 rqmts and control number, automatically the schedule they will present me are the choices for VRP, right?

^Hmm,i think so sis! Not 100% sure syempre pero i think that's the case. 3 kasi kami ng mga officemates ko na nag renew thru VRP, iba't ibang day kami nagconfirm ng sked pero lahat kami on thatweek, pumatak ng September 21-9:30 am na sked. Wala kaming ibang sked na makuha. then yung isang officemate ko (renewing also thru VRP) na may kid na mag aaply naman ng new US Visa, ang nakuhang sked ay 8:30 am ng September 21 although sya lang din ang nagsked for her kid.

^sa bagay, the website is for everyone scheduling appointments & may part which asks pa if you're adding dependents to set appointments for. Anyway, upon arrival at the embassy, what's the difference sa steps Ng VRP & non-VRP applicants? You mentioned previously that VRP applicants need to fill up something. Once I get there, do they automatically know you're for VRP or they'll check your docs before entering? When I checked the calendar this evening, earliest appt was for Oct8, 9am, but I opted to get oct11, 9am. So far all I saw were 9am appts. I was hoping for a 7-ish slot.

With your 930am appointment, what time were you done? Sorry, Di pa ko naka backread ulit.

^based lang uli sis sa experience ko, he!he! Dun pa lang sis sa labas ng US Embassy, may line na uli. Usually, may mga nagkakasabay na between 8:30 am to 9:30am na mga slots (so bale 3 groups agad). Once na pumila, kahit pang 9:30 am pa, pinapapasok na rin agad (based ito sis dun sa officemate ko na dumating ng around 8:30am sa US embassy at pumila agad). Ako naman kahit medyo maaga din ng konti, tumambay pa ako ng parking lot at pumila ako before 9am. Before entering the actual premises ng US Embassy grounds, may mga US Embassy staff na nagbibigay ng slip of paper for VRP applicants. on that day, they automatically gave that papers to everyone. Yung 9:30am kasi ay puro VRP na pala. Upon reaching yung mga security guards and staff, you need to show them and dapat na fill-up an na rin sa line yung check-list. So Naka-out na lahat ng passports and DS-160 by this time and present it sa guards/staff. Pag complete lahat ng nasa check-list, then saka enter na ng Iron Doors ng US Embassy. Pag dating sa loob, may another check in counters,  where they will again check your docus and give you a number for the verification interview. After that, proceed na sa inside premises or building. Dun sa loob, naka-separate na yung sa VRPs at sa regular na kumukuha ng US Visa.
nasa left side yung sa VRP upon entering.  Then wait na lang sis, sa Pag tawag ng number mo. Pag natawag na,   hindi na consul kung hindi mga Pinoy ang mag veverify nung mga sinubmit na infos
online like ilan beses ka nag US. After that, wait lang ng konti, then they will call you again for finger printing. Then iwan na ang passports. Voila, finish na sis and wait na lang na dumating si Mr. Air 21 sa house! : )
Siguro around 1 hour ako inside ng uS embassy for the whole VRP process.

Hi mga sis! Please assess naman chance ng family namin na maapprove for B-2 visa. We're planning to go there around April 2012  We'll be applying din for a Canadian TRV kasi mas mahirap yata pag sa US, but baka may chance naman.

Dad:
- 60+ but still working and hindi kasi mukhang senior na! Haha.
- I think sa work niya, wala na siyang tax tax kasi nga sabi dapat retired na.
- He works as a trainer in a maritime company. I think sweldo niya is in USD.
- He's a marine engineer (seaman) and was working for more than 10 years na. He has US Visa yata I don't know what type and if valid pa din.

Mom:
- Plain housewife
- Registered nurse but more than 10 years not practicing na.
- 55 y/o yata?

Me:
- Eldest, 21 y/o
- Registered nurse din, no work yet, but I'm enrolled in graduate school right now 1st sem ko pa lang. So probably by that time, student pa din ako, and probably by that time may work na din ako but hindi pa siguro regular employee.

Brother:
- 16 y/o (yata haha)
- Graduating March 2011 ng high school

Possible "ties":
- Business namin is apartment and a commercial space for rent. Shempre we own them (nakapangalan yata sa dad ko).
- We own a SUV-type car.
- Students kami pareho ng kapatid ko.
- My dad is still working, and ako siguro (assuming na meron na).

Source of funds:
- Galing sa dad ko. Savings. Kung sufficient ba, I guess oo. He can sponsor the expenses naming lahat

Takot lang ako kasi I'm a registered nurse baka isipin mag-TNT ako lol. But sana okay na sa kanila na nag-aaral ako dito. Vacation lang naman to visit siguro our relatives there (brother ng dad ko and his family) and maybe mga friends din ng dad ko na vinivisit niya kapag nandoon barko nila sa US.

And another question, hahanapan ba nila ako ng financial docs? Kasi if yes, wala ako mapepresent na funds for this vacation talaga  I'm financially dependent pa. Sa Canada TRV kasi, 22 and below ang considered dependent, so medyo confident pa ako. I'm not sure with US B-2 Visa kung anong age.

how to cancel visa application appointment? i tried cancelling it online kaso ang sabi you cannot cancelyour appointment at this time.. waaaahhH! i really need to cancel it tomorrow na yong schedule ko and i really cannot make it may super emergency akong pupuntahan.. T_T what to do?

^sis, how about calling their hotline? I think, super late na nga kung tom na yung appointment. What will happen is mawawala lang talaga yung chance mo na mainterview tom pero after nung sked mo tom, you can immediately get another appointment pero starting tom pa. I think sis ha!

^^Sis Dooonna, naku sis, sa inyong family, you have the lowest chances of getting a us Visa. Not keen ang US at  this time on giving visas sa mga nursing grads.
Based yan sis sa mga stories ng friends and acquaintances ko. it's not a question ng financial capabilities or yung ties here. Pinaka recent story ay yung anak ng isa sa mga boss ko. very financially capable pero nursing graduate at working na sa other field at ok naman income. He was denied for the 3rd time this September.
But you can always try sis. Malay mo naman at iba yung fortune mo! : )

i tried to cancel it last friday pa.. but anyway, i called their hotline sabi dapat daw 3 working days prior interview date ang cancellation.. so ayun, the agent adviced me kung hindi daw talaga ako makakapunta tomorrow (oct.4 12:30pm) i'll just have to call the day after tomorrow (oct 5 12:30pm) to have my file for no show interview appointment and reschedule my interview date.. sana madaling process lang ito..wah at sana may available pang slot next week..

^Good luck sis Joie. Malay mo naman meron pa yan. Kasi i remember may VRP sked, na kumuha ako ng sked September15 at nakakuha pa ko ng September 21 na sked. Basta try ng try lang sa pag i sked kasi every now and then talagang may nagka cancel kaya nagkakaroon din bigla ng available skeds.
Medyo sayang lang noh sis kasi para tapos na ang interview mo. Ako kasi i always dread embassy interviews, hindi lang US.The sooner na matapos na,the better!

meron may alam gaano katagal processing ng immigrant visa from the time natanggap ng embassy ang completion of documents? sa sis ko kasi more than 1 week na. pahelp naman.

^Sis matagal talaga yung immigrant visa. Nasa anong step na ba sya? It depends also kung anong klaseng immigrant visa at kung sino ang nag petition. Yung sa iba, years talaga.
