Greenarrowbabe, madali lang yan! :D You just have to have balance, and females have better sense of balance than the males. ;)

Para matuto ka, pahawak ka muna sa friend mo (sa likod) as you pedal. Then tell your friend bitawan ka nya once you get the hang of it (which should not take long). Dapat hindi mo alam na bibitawan ka na nya, hehe. Then tuloy tuloy na yun.

Good luck! Kaya mo yan. ;)

Learning how to ride a bike is one of my to-do in my bucket list. My mom kasi didn't let my sister and I to ride on it when we were young. Ngayon tuloy hindi namin alam pano. SIGH. Anyway, I'm in the lookout for schools or whatever that offers biking lessons but I can't find any. My friend told me to just practice it on my own inside my would-be apartment. Is that even possible? Teach myself how to ride on a bike?

hi mga sis... im also into biking... but recently lang i bought my own bike na... i have the gt avalanche 2.0...  with the budget na 10-15K, you can definitely get a decent bike... if none of your friends or family are into biking, i suggest you really go to a specialty store for bikes...  they have pre-assembled bikes you can choose from... whats good with going to bike stores is that your bike matches you in terms of your height and weight...  may different heights kasi ang bike... baka kasi pag mura lang hanap mo, it wont match you.. baka too high or too short for you...

learning bike is easy naman...  like one sis said, ask someone to help you get started... adjust first your bike seat na kapag na out of balance ka, you can easily step sa ground...  let them hold the back part of your seat then run with you while youre pedaling, without you noticing it, bitawan ka nya... pag alam mo kasing bibitawan ka, matataranta ka, causing you to  fall...  better learn biking sa mga villages para wala gaanong kalaban.. and better kung sloping down ang road para balancing ang unang una matutunan...

good luck mga sis!!! oh and safety first, wear helments!

Sweet_Moddy - I ride a road bike, do you? I've been trying to look for people who can go road biking with (but on a schedule that fits mine).

sis, MTB stands for Mountain Bike :).  Determine mo muna what kind of riding you want..  Kung sa road lang, mag racer ka na lang.  But if you want the outdoors, as in off-road at ready ka maputikan, bili ka mountain bike.  Make sure that the bike you buy complements your height ah.  That's the first mistake na nagawa ko when I bought my MTB.  Malaki sya for me. :(

I used to go biking around our village before. It was very relaxing and refreshing kasi nararamdaman mo [textspeak!] hangin na humuhampas sa mukha at katawan mo. I got bored lang kasi wala akong kasabay magbike hehe and naging busy narin sa work. I plan to go biking again this summer.  8)
