Hi Interesado din ako dyan sa ALFM Dollar Bond Fund meron pa din kase akong natitirang dollar balak ko din i-open sya mukhang maganda sya since bond sya di nakainvest sya sa equities.it's more on conservative type .

Sa ngayon bagsak ang dollar malakas ang peso. Mukhang right time maginvest sa ganitong services.. :-)

Hello girls,

I am looking at putting my USD from BPI to Citibank NA or HSBC.  I want a flexible banking wherein I can deposit to my USD account anywhere in the world and withdraw USD anywhere as well.  If I maintain my BPI USD bank account, I will still be charged with fees.  Would gladly appreciate if you can help me which global bank you prefer (citibank NA or HSBC) for flexibility on worldwide transactions.  Its okay if interest are even the lowest in the market as I am after the flexibility.  Thank you.

How are your US Dollar UITFs doing sisses?  Ang daming bumaba.  Might be a good time to purchase additional units.  Report says FOREX might be P42 to US$1.00 by year end.

^If you don't the money in the near future, its okay to invest.  Bagsak ang EUR ngayon so undervalued sha.  Pero you have to wait until EUR becomes more valuable para makuha mo yung gains.  Sa ngayon or I think in the next years wala kang makukuhang gain sa euro.  The next big thing is CNY dahil china is the situated to become the next USA.

Balak ko rin mag invest sa EUR simply because its undervalued now.  Then pagnakabawi na ang EUR, saka ko benta.

Lugi ang dollar account ko since I bought it at 56 PhP = 1$ last year 2006.
Small lang din interest. I plan to buy dollars pag mura like 40 Php, to even out my losses sana.
I don't want to sell my dollars eh, mahirap din kasi bumili and mag open ulit ng dollar account.

^If you don't need it, i suggest hang onto it. 

In my case, when I acquired my dollars because of travel allowance it was PHP38 = $1.  Kahit na tumaas (PHP44 = $1) I never sell kasi I don't need it pa naman.

nakita ko lang sa pifa.com yung performance ng sunlife prosperity dollar advantage fund na may 6.5% return after 5 years tsaka yung ytd return niya e nasa 10%.. sinong naka invest nito mga sis? how to apply for this?? hayy.. interested sana kaso sobrang laki ata ng minimum investment dito...

Hi sisses, anong bank ang may smallest initial deposit and maintaining balance requirement? So far East West bank pa lang nakikita ko, 200 USD.

Hello sissies! Aside from HSBC, what other banks accept Australian Dollar Accounts? And what are their minimum maintaining balance requirement and amount to open an account? Dito sa La Union, wala akong mahanap na bank na tumatanggap ng Australian dollar account. Next week akyat ako ng Baguio para maginquire. But if you can share or have any idea regarding Australian dollar accounts, paki-share naman mga sissies

@alexandrea: Dati $200 ang minimum maintaining balance requirement ng Allied Bank sis, pero hindi ko na sure how much ngayon. Try to check na lang with them.

Where do you put your US dollars? I just keep mine in the bank as savings, pero halos walang gains. Better ba to keep as Dollars or change into Peso then invest? If I want to invest the dollars, where mas okay ilagay?

We dont put USD in Investments kasi hindi ako maalam and dalwa ang kelangan i monitor, returns ng investment and currency fluctuation. So we put our USD in TDs. May banks na mataas ang rates. If biglang tumaas ang palitan, I withdraw and change to PHP then invest in MF or UITF kapag walang emergency need.

I want to learn more too where to invest USDs na ok ang returns and safe naman for short team investments lang.

^ sis, which bank do you put your dollar savings? sa akin kasi, tulog lang sa bank. I was about to open before sa BDO TD, kaso sabi ng teller, wala naman daw masyado tutubuin, lagay ko nlang sa savings account. ayun hinahayaan ko lang. walang na gain na interest. [textspeak!] bang okay na TD for dollars?

TD is better than savings account or lagay ka ng kaunti pa sa savings account then the rest nasa TD.

Ako nag cut loss sa ALFM ninerbyos kase ako e.. negative ako ng 600+usd

I alss have a dollar account.. I never thought of it as investment basta naghuhulog lang ako.. Hmmm... Im not really updated sa dollar-peso rate so Im thinking san ko sya pwede iinvest so it can earn more?

i have some dollars, i have been thinking about depositing it to a dollar account (BPI)

i might need to withdraw/close the account before the year ends, my question is, ilang months ang minimum na i can put it in the bank, and if i withdraw some of it, may charge ba if i withdraw directly sa branch where i opened the account from?

sis honeybunny,if it is a savings account in BPI , no extra charges when you withdraw..
i havent tried to withdraw it from other branches.
What i did was: to close my usd savings and open another savings on the same day, on the same bank/branch wala naman problem. i was allowed to do so. reason for closing: naka AND kase ako sa friend ko and she is migrating na so she has to take her share and i wouldnt want just to retain the account with the AND on it hehe
