^Yup! Same here.  Some pronounce it for-CHOO-ner talaga, kahit foreigners.  But I remember those cute Toyota ads and even there they pronounce it FOR-choo-ner

Nakakagulo lang kasi it has a root word, "fortune" but at the same time it's a brand name.  Pag may root word kasi, unless it's four syllables, the stress doesn't change.  Pag (brand) names naman, bahala ang may ari ng name sa pronunciation na gusto nila.  I guess Toyota wanted to keep the "fortune" idea so they pronounce it FOR-choo-ner sa ads.

tama naman for me ang "FOR-choo-ner". yun rin ang basa ko e.

nagugulat lang ako sa mga matatandang kaibigan ng tatay ko kasi "for-CHOO-ner" ang banggit nila. so feeling ko baka wrong pronunciation ako. saka ganito din iprinonounce ng isang reporter yang Toyota car brand na yan.

mas ikinagugulat ko yung for-TWO-ner.

^Yup, that's the safe pronunciation for us to use.  But I have some white friends who say it as "RUFF."  It sounds funny but di mo naman macorrect kasi yun ang kinalakihan nila.

I say if you can't pull it off and it sounds wrong just go for the normal pronunciation.
