MAMASQUEAK ..  The bigger than 28 GYPSIERE is really more practical.  But I got the 28 for travelling. That frees both hands for the kids. (everyone says the 28 is bagay sized for me. Ayoko! Isipin short ako. Lol)
BUT the Birkin is practical for almost everything. . Travel, work, lunch out, dinner out (basta not a semi-formal or formal affair), and grocery-shopping.  My bet is:  you will eventually get both models. 

CKATHY:  just go into the GB3 store and inquire.  Some stores do not accept orders anymore,  their lists are  too long, hence "closed".  GB3 accepts orders still, I have 3 pending.  Am supposed to get 1 this Fall, we will see --- I hope!!!   You can't order it over the phone. 

SHOEBE0 - order your Lindy now - you will get it by next year pa anyway.    Now if you walk into GB3 and see the size and color you want - hay  naku go get na!  How lucky can you get?

^Sana nga magdilang anghel ka, Aquacharly!    I hope the Hermes store in Florence or Rome will have the B bag that I want otherwise Jypsiere 32 na talaga. At least I'm sure that will be readily available.

I went into the Hermes in Greenbelt, mostly just to look around.  I asked about the Birkin and the SA sort of had a smile on his face when he told me that the waiting list for that bag would be over a year.  Almost like he was saying "yeah, you wish"

EK KIKAY - accdg to GB3 -  talagang the order list is longer than the incoming shipment/s list.  Actually, some people like Jinky Cruz are good at predicting what the new colors Hermes will be releasing soon.  SO she is able to order and get her bag in 6 months. (she got her fuschia Birkin - sorry,  forgot the color  name -- that soon).  I was curious and asked how she knows -- she just  said she reads it off the net (go figure, I couldn't).  But well,   Jinky Cruz is known for always buying Birkins, like candy. .

There are Birkins that become available readily, but these are generally not the more popular colors  -- like browns and grays.  last year, I declined a Birkin  that wasn't in the blue color I wanted, and alerted a friend about it - she got it just like that - no waiting time!  She wasn't a VIP, but she sure  was willing to get whatver was there, and lucky that a Birkin was avilable.

blogberry yes, you can take your belt sa gb branch and they'll do it for free.  You know what's good about requesting for an additional hole for your belt sa greenbelt branch?  In other countries they are very strict.  They will only add two extra holes max, na same distance with the existing holes.  In my case I also wanted an extra hole so that I can use it as a waist belt (therefore one more hole much farther away from the existing holes) pero all the other branches abroad Ive been to won't do it.  They have to maintain the standards of Hermes daw.  Pero sa gbelt they agreed to my request kasi if I don't mind naman daw na may out of place na hole, it's fine with them.  it's my belt naman daw afterall.

When it comes, I will send off 2 of my Birkins to Paris for cleaning.  Even if you drop off the bag in Paris - if you will have it delivered here - you pay the same 2-way transpo fee. Lol

sis aquacharly, how much do you spend for the transpo?  do you drop off the bag at the Hermes shop or mail it directly?  i got curious 'coz i've never done this before and my blue jean needs to be cleaned.

Usually, you gotta order it, unless na tiempohan  mo may new shipment -- but these go fast.  Aound Php50thou.

Ok, this is more like  it:  SPA, lol/cleaning for your Birkin will cost abt 19thou. IF you are alone sending off a bag to Paris -- insurance plus freight will cost you, so total becomes about Php38thou. 

IF may kasabay ka - split freight and insu, can go down to 25thou. Mag aantay ako! Lol   Ladies, consider general cleaning of your Birkins now - let's  split the freight   and insurance  .
