FIRST FLIGHT NI BABY 2

My baby's first flight was 3 yrs ago, she was 2 y/o. We went to Burundi, Africa. From Manila, we headed to HK then HK to Kenya and finally, Kenya to Burundi. May dala kameng water na nasa feeding bottles nya, hindi naman kame nagkaron ng problem sa airports. Hindi lang ako makatulog maigi kapag hindi namin katabi si hubby (Kenya - Burundi flight). Buti na lang hindi pihikan si baby sa food, bread and jam lang pwede na, kapag may sobra tinatago ko para kapag hindi nya gusto yung food na naka-serve e may kakainin pa din sya.

hi sissies, me and my baby girl are flying to HK next month. kaming dalawa lang and she's 3 months by then. can i bring in with my checked in baggage 3 big cans of milk? and also I'm planning to bring my sterilizer (chicco) okay lang ba siya checked in? di kaya mabasag?

also which is better, put her in a carrier (ergo) or in a stroller? or can I bring both inside the airport? sorry dami tanong

Maybe it's just me but I think kung kami lang ng baby ko and she's just that young, i don't want to carry extra stuff with me na iisipin ko pa. I mean gamit nya pa lang kasi na handcarry mo mahihirapan na. i think if you can just bring less at ipadala na lang ang iba sa cargo pra you can concentrate with your child instead, that would be beneficial for you especially.

 ill go for carrier vs the stroller.

^^Medyo mabigat nga ang 3 cans of milk. Although no problem naman iyan sa check-in I'll vote for carrier over stroller din para hindi ka mahirapan walking around. And yung sterilizer, I used to bring home din iyan. Naka check in din. So far ok naman. Binabalot ko na lang sa towel to secure it.

I'd agree with pinkpotato na kung meron chance na less hand carry ka, it would be easier for you

D ko lang sure if pwede papasok HK 3 cans of milk pero a few weeks ago nun nandun kami may warning sila na may limit yun bitbit na milk na inallow nila. Kung papasok at papalabas ng HK ang pagdadala yan lang yun d ko na pinansin.

^I was in HK last week, that statement applies only to exporting of milk and allows only 2 cans of milk.

sis heybeybey how long are you staying in HK? Why do you need 3 cans of milk? If it's just you and your baby travelling I suggest that you seek airport assistance via the travel agent you booked your ticket. They will help you from check-in til you board your plane and same upon your arrival. Just think about other logistics - who will hold your baby when you need to use the bathroom?

Carrier might work but you may need to take your baby in and out of it at all the security checks. Bring a cross body type of diaper/body bag if you can.

i've been flying with my baby for 3 times na back and forth from manila-abu dhabi-istanbul-adana..the first flight super stress kasi kami lang 2, well anyway the next 2 ones kmi pa din namang 2 [textspeak!]. pero the 2nd and third is so easy kasi alam ko na gagawin.. important things to bring, baby snacks and water, diaper and extra clothes, sanitizer or soap, small assorted toys to keep her busy and most especially milk and bottles, though for my part full breastfed naman si baby kaya super laki ng convenience sa handcarry less na agad.

Hello moms, would like to ask those who have experienced bringing along babies who are bottlefed, especially those who have gone staying in resorts. How did you handle bottle sterilizing? I found a travel sterilizer from Tommy Tippee allowing single bottle but still needs a microwave.
Any suggestions pls?

When my child was still bottle feeding, I just brought along Mothercare sterilizing tablets.

Recently, though, I saw this multi-function kettle at the mall. I think it's good to bring if you have a baby with you. One can use it for sterilizing (I think it can fit one 9oz Avent bottle and accessories), warming baby food (it has temperature control), and cooking (you can boil eggs/noodles or steam vegetables). I like the dry-boil protection feature (shuts off when all the water evaporates, so that you don't burn the bottles you're sterilizing in case you forget).

Hi sis DV i like the idea of the sterilizing tablets, i have to check on that one. If we are staying kasi in a room so definitely walang cooking equipments like elec stove or microwave. Ang bulky kasi to bring [textspeak!] chicco bottle sterilizer ni baby, but kung walang ibang options, then no choice.

^I also used the mothercare cold water sterilizing bags when we traveled. Very handy. It gets hard to find though during peak travel periods (ie. Nov/Dec) so better start looking for it.

When my kids were still bottle fed, I'd bring their Playtex disposable bottles and liners, with just a few spare teats. Very handy. No washing needed except for the cap n teats. I always get a whole big bottle of water from the cabin crew for the duration of the flight.

My son's first out of the country trip was last year, we went to SG. It was smooth naman. I had his diaper bag with me and yung Playtex disposable bottles and liners. as for the water naman, we bought Evian na lang and okay naman.
When we went to Malaysia last April 2013, same pa rin dinala ko. A bottle of water for him and yung disposable na playtex. I love those bottles kasi it really saves time and space. 2 feeding bottles lang dala namin.

^Same here. 2 bottles are enough. The only thing you have to bring are the liners and teats. Very handy, convenient and space-saving.

My son's first flight happened last month. I booked an evening flight para sure na matutulog baby ko. Binreastfed ko sya habang takeoff and landing para mawala yun pressure sa ears. On our fllight back, morning naman. It went smooth. Palakad lakad lang siya sa aisle. Dala namin tablet niya, bread pan and his diaper bag.

hi sissies, i'm back. tagal ko pala di nacheck. anyway, tomorrow is our flight na. we'll be staying there for 2-4 weeks that's why i decided to bring her sterilizer. i'm not breastfeeding din kaya doble hassle kase i need to bring atleast 4 bottles. i've decided to bring nga carrier nlang, pero ok lang b nka carrier si baby the entire flight? di papaalisin ng FA?
