I have a silly question po. What's the usual maximum weight capacity of baby carriers? We have one kase na gift kay Zoe but we've never really used it and naitapon ko na yung lalagyan :S We're going to Boracay kase this April and hinde namin kasama yaya ni Zoe so hubby and I will have to manage our luggage plus my heavy baby girl. At 19 months, kakayanin pa kaya sya ng carrier?

Si hubby kakayanin nya, ako I'm not sure. Zoe's pretty heavy kase, around 14 kgs last time we checked (2 weeks ago). So either I carry her or carry our luggages. Problem lang naman is malikot na sya and madalas when we're carrying her, she wiggles a lot because she wants to walk or around. Naisip ko tuloy mejo bad idea yata na hinde namin kasama yaya nya.

^i have a next9 ring sling. It can carry daw up to 250lb. We used it when we went to Europe. S at that time was 12mos, weight around 11-12kgs. I find it comfortable. We even used it when we had a mini hike up mt. Pioana. Downside may learning curve siya. Plus I think with Zoe's age Baka she'll not like to be carried that way anymore. If you're not opposed to leash, ok din siya. May mga back pack types din naman.

BABY BJORN i think is around 12kg or 25lbs lang. but the ergo carrier type has a bigger weight capacity. my son's carrier can hold upto 50KG but that is, if kakayanin ng hip/back mo.

We went to boracay too mga same age sila ni C. Kasama si yaya. But i did not let her carry C pa rin baka mabitawan pa nya.
There'll be guys assisting you naman papunta sa boat. Baka kaya mo na yun. Of course kung kaya ng sling or carrier mas okay yun. Test drive mo na lang.

Depende sa brand sis.  My ergo carrier can carry up to 20kg.

1st flight ng baby ko was when she was 1month old. Kaming dalawa lang from cebu to davao. Natutulog lang sya which made me thankful, but as soon as the plane took off, she started crying loudly and everyone's eyes were on us. Sabi ng flight attendant baka meron akong pacifier, eh wala. I was giving her the bottle pero ayaw nya, alam ko hinahanap nya breast ko, pero nahirapan naman akong ilabas dahil sa suot ko. So ang ginawa ko nilapit ko mukha ni baby sa pisngi ko and then she started sucking my cheeks, ang sakit! pero ok lang kasi within a few minutes tulog na uli sya. haha

my son will be travelling with me going bangkok this october..he's turning 23months old by that time..i'm just doing a lot of researches on how to handle him sa flight..hindi pa naman namin kasama papa nya, just me and my mom plus my son..hindi ko macontrol ang kakulitan nya kaya natatakot ako kung pano sya iha-handle sa plane..morning flight pa naman kame..sana matulog na lang sya sa buong flight namen..haays

^early morning flight ba tipong 8? try to wake him up ng mas maaga sa usual gising nya then pagurin mo sa airport (patakbuhin/palakarin mo), pagsakay nyo ng plane for sure tulog yan that's what I did to my son on our last trip to Manila

^^tama sis try mo pagurin bago magboard. ganyan din yung anak ko makulit pero nung first flight nya excited kaya nakatingin lang sya sa bintana. yung mga sumunod nyang flights ayun di na makuntento sa bintana at dalang laruan sa plane... nanggugulo na talaga... may time na natapik ko na kasi nakakahiya... well ganun lang siguro talaga kasi bata eh so idistract mo na lang kung magkulit

yes sis grayce, early morning..7am flight namin via cebu pac..so budgeted airline lang kaya worried din ako..kase maliit ang space namen..pero plano ko sana gisingin ko sya mga 3am pa lang..heheh.tapos punta na kami airport para masanay na sa airplanes and all..lagyan ko na lang syang harness or "leash" para takbo kame mag nanay sa airport..hehehnako sana mag work yun..grabe pa naman mag tantrums ang baby ko..pati ako naiiyak pag nag ttantrums sya..

^your plan sounds ok but just make sure if hindi tulog baby mo during take off or landing, let him eat or drink to avoid any pains on your baby's ears from pressure.

^1m pwede na, as young as 10days old if im not mistaken pwede na nga rin as long as may go signal ni pedia

My baby will be experiencing her first flight this coming Saturday. She'll exactly turn 5 months on that day. Our flight is at night time so i just hope she'll just fall asleep and not be cranky all throughout. Our plan is to arrive at the airport 4 hours before our flight schedule. Before boarding, she should be fed at least an hour prior, her diaper changed and hopefully, done with her poop (the last one proved difficult because her poop time lately is not fixed).

A friend of mine told me that the pacifier helps with cabin pressure or during plane take-off and touchdown. All in all, i hope she'll not cry too loud and disturb other passengers.

^if your baby's on a binky, yes. but if not, you can breastfeed, or bottlefeed her. if she's sleeping naman she wont feel a thing.

Naku, yung isa kong kid, 5 months old nung nagtravel kami sa Boracay kasi dun naka-assign yng hubby ko during that time. Eh feeling superwoman ako, feeling ko carry ko mag-isa. So baby bag and all at Christmas time pa ito, eh nagboard kami ng PAL papuntang Boracay. Kalibo actually, then another 2-hour bus ride pa. She's ok sa plane pero nung nasa bus na, wahhhh, grabe ang iyak nung baby ko. Lahat naginawa ko, dede, hele,etc. Everyone was staring at us, mukha akong inept mom. Then,yung hubby ko, pinasundo lang kami dun sa isang staff nya kasi, nung talagang araw na darating supposed kami, naiwan pa kami ng plane. ha!ha!
After that, i told myself that i will travel with my kids alone habang babies pa sila.

Then, yung next plane ride nila, US bound, 3 and 4 years old na sila. YUn uneventful, masaya lang sila all through out the 16-hour flight. Nagdala kasi ako ng madaming toys at coloring books for them, then during our yearly travels abroad, nauso na ang ipad at mas enjoy na lalo sila.lalo na at lumalaki na. Hindi na alagain.
