WOW sooo inspiring naman dito  :)
Well here's my piece.
I use to be chubby ever since I was born. Yeah, it's really cool to hear people say you're "cute", but when I grew up, I realized being "chubby" is not that cute... So that's when I started dieting, I was in highschool when I started starving myself, kase nga I was soo young back then so I really don't have any info about proper dieting. But thank God, I've reached my ideal weight. ;D But atleast, I get to wear sexy dresses, kase nga i'm into fashion naman din kahit tabain ako :)
Anyway, when I went to college and had a bf na talagang seryosohan, to the point na napabayaan ko sarili ko, lomobo ako bigla. As in, more than twice my size in less than one year! GOSH.... I ignored, kase nga my bf's assuring me na he will still love me kahit lumaki na ako. Despite that, I have my own insecurities, kaya wala akong friends sa school. Yet, my world revolves around my bf lang.
I transferred to another place when I graduate and our LDR is like hell! He got someone pregnant and well, he married her so imagine how devastating that is! With the help of my family and friends, I've managed to get back in shape. I really dont know what my exact weight is when I was sooo huge kase I kept avoiding the scale eh! But probably it's more than 200 lbs! Now, I'm between 125 - 130 lbs.  ;D I even won the recent "biggest looser" competition dito sa office namin!  8) haha.
Yes, I've tried diet pills, before which really helped (though I won't recommend) But talagang big factor ang exercise and pag lessen ko ng food intake, especially those mga unhealthy ones. And I'm glad that my circle of friends are health conscious na talagang they influenced me to eat vegies and fruits!  :D

@V_for_Victoria : diba?  ;D kasi pag hindi sha lifestyle masasayang lang ang efforts and it's very unhealthy especially if yo-yo yung weight.

@markylicious: I think... na pag pumapayat yung isang tao nawawala lang yung mga hindrances in seeing person's real face shape and other facial features... And true, if you feel good about your body, that feeling radiates and you look good :)

Pero, tama, di lahat ng pumapayat eh gumagwapo or gumaganda. May mga pagkakapayat na pangit. Based from experience, yung pagkakapayat due to stress, pangit.. as haggard at lifeless... Yung pagkakapayat na due to healthy food choices and a fitness regimen, yun maganda :)

Yay! Nakaka-relate ako. :)

NAPAKAHIRAP nung una. Hehe. :o

But last year I was diagnosed with having abnormal kneecaps (they are slightly off center), and the doctor told me to lose weight or I'll develop early arthritis.

So yes! May motivation na ako.

Since emotional eater ako, instead of filling the refrigerator with junkfood and sugar-packed juices and drinks, I filled it with fruits. Kaya kapag stressed ako, I don't feel depressed as much. And I eat fruit before each meal, and then fiber/digestion fruits afterward: papaya and pineapple.

Or if super lala ng problema ko na feeling ko ay kaya ko nang lamunin ang ref, I went out of the house and took walks. Or listened to music. Or called a friend.

Also, I made it a habit to walk at least 30 minutes a day. On weekends, ginagawa kong gym ang mall. Ansarap maglakad at tumingin...at presto! 3 hours ka na pala nag-eexercise hehe.

Tapos siyempre, once a week may guilty day. Konting softdrinks o candy. :D

As of now I have lost thirteen pounds! Wohooo...and I feel happier even though I know I still have a long way to go. (Mga 20 pounds pa). Pero I'm not in a hurry...these things don't happen overnight. ;)

Then most importantly, kailangan confident ka. Sabi nga nila, people see you the way you see yourself.   ;D

sobrang taba ko din dati...i think 5 flat lang height ko but i weight 125-130 before. wala akong pic ng chubby e. papa-scan pa. hehe! sobrang tagal at dahan- dahan yung pagpayat ko and walang effort. kasi siguro 2nd or 3rd year college, i even bought threadmill para kahit sa bahay lang ako. i jog atleast 30mins everyday. pero nagstart lang ako pumayat nung 4th year college.nagkataon lang na palaging puyat dahil sa thesis. then pumayat pa ako lalo when i entered law school. stress lang nagpapayat sakin. di naman ako ganun kapayat pero mas tama na yung timbang ko sa height ko. nasa naglalaro sa 100-110 ako. i try to maintain na ganun lang at hindi na madagdagan. bawas lang ako ng carbs and softdrinks. minsan, pag sinisipag, jog ulit.

Me naman, di intentional nung simula yung pagpapapayat. nagkaroon lang ng personal problem so parang nawalan ng gana kumain. and then ang dami na lang pumansin na pumayat na ko. so i decided to continue dieting na lang. limit lang talaga sa food intake. i only eat when i'm hungry and normally, i don't eat na mga 4 hrs before i sleep. so from 70kg naging 57 kg na lang ngayon. i'm still trying to lose 4kg pa to achieve my ideal weight.

Good for you sis! But let me add base sa post mo: hindi mo na kailangan magka muscle pa sa katawan to start working out, meron naman tayo lahat niyan eh, some more developed and toned than others but we have to work for it. For gym attire, doesn't have to be fancy sa start or don't spend too much.

Better invest in good cross trainers or running shoes if your doing a lot of cardio. Then pag medyo pumapayat ka na dyan maganda mag shop for gym clothes, mas nakakaenganyo. :) Basta no matter what just go and start ha? Good luck!

i used to be 98lbs until dumating asawa ko, i have to take contraceptive pills kaya eto nagballoon sa 120lbs.(pero prior to the 98lbs, i used to weigh 135lbs at 5 feet).hirap na hirap na ako sa katawan ko. di na magkasya mga damit ko.grabeh pala ang 20lbs. ive tried using reductil for1 week, oo effective sya pero pag tinigil mo,tataba ka din.tried leisure 18, ganun din effective lang for 1 week tas nahiyang na ako.

now, since sedentary talaga lifestyle ko,i try to walk around the vilalge for 15 minutes everyday.bawas na din chichirya, peanuts na lang pagnagugutom tas tubig.

sana pumayat ako in time for summer...mga sister, if hindi ako nagwoworkout, ok lang ba if sauna?

^ Saunas will only make you lose trace amounts of water weight temporarily; they can't do anything about fat.

No naman sis, it's great for a sweat to cleanse you out, but don't rely on it to lose weight with. Your off to a good start na sis, you've taken up walking. Try and increase the times you walk and for how long, say up to 30 minutes or longer. Para lang ma build up ang endurance mo para later you can do more high intensity excercise, like jogging or maybe add strenght training to your cardio routine.

ive always been fat, except for those few times na pumayat talaga ako to my ideal weight na 118 pounds dahil sa diet pills hehe.  yung 'normal' is like being 5-10 pounds overweight, mataba yes pero keri lang.

pero now sobrang laki ko talaga dahil i got pregnant last year tas i was breastfeeding pa so wala munag diet-diet at exercise sa takot ko macompromise yung milk supply ko.  now na almost 1 year old na yung baby ko kako its time for me to take care of myself na.   true enough, unti-unti ng nawe-wean yung baby ko.

gym everyday after work + diet, so far in 2 weeks time ive lost 4 pounds already.  water weight lang ito i know pero encouraging di ba.  tuloy-tuloy lang dapat -- 29 pounds to go!!

ayoko kasing maging losyang or "mukhang nanay" or "bagong panganak" (no offense meant) ... chepre gusto ko HOT MOMMA ako diba hehe :P
