hi mga sis. i think i need more motivation.. ok ang mga stories nyo, but i think it won't work for me. :( aminado kasi ako, kahit anong sabihin ko sa sarili kong gusto kong pumayat, kulang talaga sa gawa, dtermination and discipline. sarap kasi kumain eh :(

i love eating instant noodles, eating in fast food chains like mcdo or jbee. mahilig din sa sweets and rice. my height is 5'6" and i weigh 136 right now. sabi ng iba ok lang naman daw yung katawan ko kasi matangkad ako pero when i look at myself in the mirror, hindi ako natutuwa. laki kasi ng tyan ko eh hahahha! tamad pa ko gumalaw. now my plan is, to combine all what i've read. sa totoo lang, kulang ang equips ko dito sa house. stationery bike lang meron, ok na ba yun? plus, malalaking bulas talaga kasi family namin, kaya yun.

eto gagawin ko from now on:

brunch (since tanghali na ko magising):

5 tablespoons of rice
lots of h20
tuna
fruit

dinner:
water
oatmeal

as for my exercise:
sit ups before sleeping
bike for 30 mins
dance for 30 mins

do you think this will work? suggestions naman po :) thanks a lot!

hi sis, i dont take diet pills anymore.. before, i took zhen, fitrum, tapos pearl white.. meron pa ngang hydrotrim yata, yung juice na parang orange color.. i lose weight but gained them all back after i stopped taking the pills.. tapos magana pa talagang kumain..

ngayon, i vowed to myself na kakaririn ko na talaga ang pagpapayat but in a gradual way, and the safest pa! i eat normal breakfast, may rice naman tapos i still eat meat.. paglunch, nagbabaon lang ako ng sandwich to the office, drinking lots of water para mabusog agad.. i am not a veggie or fish eater kaya i know mahihirapan ako because i cant take the meat away. after work naman, i jog for 45 mins lang.. then have banana or any fruit for dinner.. or di kaya drink milk. mga 9pm dapat nasa bed na ako, ready to sleep, because mafefeel mo na yung gutom.. hehe.. sanay kasi na palaging full ang tyan.. but i know eventually masasanay din ako na konti lang ang dinner.. weakness ko kasi before kaya my diet didnt work was because i ate less pagbreakfast and lunch, pero sa dinner, ang dami.. kasi gutom na gutom ako sa dinner because too tired of work.. ngayon, i condition myself na pagdinner, dapat less ang intake because we dont burn the calories anymore.. i am on my second week pa lang.. 2.2 lbs weight loss in the first week is within the normal range.. sige lang, dadahan dahanin ko lang.. hehe.. i cant wait till magsunday again so that i can weigh myself again and see the progress.. =)

naiinggit nga ako sa ibang girls dito na nakakapagshare na ng kanilang weight loss experience.. hope ako rin, someday... =)

Hi, sis. Being a former fat girl myself, I'd prefer it that you start to make changes to your eating habits that you can maintain for the rest of your life. How long can you keep up with eating only those every day? :)

I've always eaten a lot more than that every day, and yet, I've managed to lose nearly 30 lbs and have never had a yo-yo problem. I still eat rice every day. But I've totally stopped eating instant noodles (I find them kadiri now), and I limit my trips to fast food restaurants. I also have a sweet tooth, but I always have dessert within reasonable times and portions. I've survived yearly vacations abroad without my weight fluctuating.

And, of course, I exercise regularly.

I love food, and I continue to dislike exercise, but I still make it work for me. :) Sanayan lang talaga.

@honey09....naku yan ang wag mo gawin....to starve yourself

sooner or later you will feel yourself craving for food.....mahirap na lalo.  at saka our body would release less energy thus store fat if they feel your starving.  sa discovery channel na discuss yan.

I really think it should be a lifestyle change...

I am the type na never naging skinny, always on the chubby side. Must be the genes...

Wala akong pakialam dati with how I look until I lost my mom to cancer and realized that I should change my habits to healthier ones... Kasi nasa genes ko na din tong sakit na to... I must take care of myself. I dont want my kids (if I will have) to suffer the same things I am going through now...

For those na nahihirapan... start muna with the little stuff like:
1. Lessen ang pagpupuyat (the next day, gutom na gutom ka or kain ka pag gabing gabi na - NO NO yun...)
2. Choose brown over white (kung may chance na pwede to.. choose the healthier one... kung wala, try to have half of the full serving kung kaya...)
3. Don't starve yourself (lalo ka lang magugutom at magbibinge-eat ka nyan)
4. Try not to eat 4 hours before you sleep - kasi di mo na mabuburn yung nakain mo...
5. If you are craving for something, go and eat that... pero wag naman sobrang daming servings... Just enough to satisfy you... (eto, mahirap :( )
6. Lessen softdrinks, sugary drinks - empty calories to and increases your chances of diabetes...
7. Pag may chance, maglakad instead of riding the car or taking a public transpo. Strengthens your lungs and leg muscles.
8. SHARE YOUR FOOD... Ika nga ng isang friend ko, SHARE THE FAT... When you share, not only do you make others happy but you also lessen your chances of getting fat...

Yan muna yung mga ideas ko... hehe.
I am a former fat girl but I'm not skinny, by the way. I've trimmed down for health purposes.

Basta, for me, ang pagpapayat ay hindi isang project na one-time big time lang... Lifestyle sha :)

^ I lost most of my weight just by working out at home, with a jump rope. You can also go jogging, running, or brisk walking, if you prefer. Do a bit of strength training too, if you can.

My office is near the Gold's Gym in Alabang, actually. I can't afford it there either. :P I went boxing for a year at another gym nearby, before I'd go to work. I've just had to stop because I'm trying to save up now, so I'm back to working out at home.

@ hot.pepper: I agree 100%!

Wala rin sa genes ko na maging skinny (I'm the only one in my family, both my mom and dad's side, who's this thin), but since changing my lifestyle, I was able to improve my metabolism. :) That's how I was able to survive my vacations and all those parties. Haha.

^ well then, you have to change your attitude towards exercise...change of lifestyle naman talaga is the main key to achieve our goals...

me too, hindi ko na pinangarap ang skinny physique, never been, always on the chubby side, ive learned to embrace it, but i realized i could something to improve what i have to a healthier one. hindi naman kase ako nag ddiet just to look  sexy and all, nag ddiet ako for my health, nasa family kasi ang hypertension at diabetes..so yun..ive managed to loose 30lbs and was able to keep that off for some time now at im still planning to lose 20-30lbs more, target weight ko is around 110-120lbs...

Got a lot of "Ang ganda mo!" compliments when old friends saw me after my weight loss. Parang na-shock pa sila na ganito ang mukha ko, haha. But, yeah, I agree with jenova, I think self-confidence also plays a part there.

But I looked like hell—sickly—when I was at my thinnest, about 100 lbs. So I'm keeping my weight stable at about 105-110; I just look better that way. :)
