ok naman ang Canada for single parents,pero dapat may support system ka rin as in may relative (or friend) ka na pwede tumulong sa iyo lalo na kung may baby ka.. kaya nga di ba dagdag points sa application mo kapag may relative ka dun.. adaptability factor ang tinitingnan ng CIC

Mga sis my husband and I have a plan of immigrating to Canada. Do I have to change the surname on my passport kasi naka maiden name pa siya? Di pa kasi expired yung passport ko.

I have a close friend there. Ninang din sya ng baby ko.  I'm sure she'll help me out.

I just have to get myself there...and with my baby dapat.

about check-in luggage, ang allowed ng airline is 62inches dimension. puede na kaya ang 67inches ko without any charge. sayang kasi luggage kung di ko magamit.

hope you can suggest what type of clothes should i bring. (clothes talga ang una kong naisip. hehe!)

and what should i bring as pasalubong ba? ano ba ok and mura bilin sa canada?

alam ko mura din ang gadgets. wag lang magbitbit ng madami baka ma-tax ka dito hehe. paki-post naman kung ano airline mo kasi may assignment ako syo hehe i have to ask you kung mahigpit ang baggage allowance ng airline sasakyan mo  when it comes to the size, medyo malaki kasi nabili kong luggage.

correct lahat ng sinabi ni sis tigershark09. yung cllassmate ko nung college went to Canada last quarter ng 2008 and stayed there until early of this year. when she was there lagi nyang sinasabi na gusto na nyang umuwi. ang malungkot pa nagkasakit sya dun and ang laki ng pinayat nya (di naman sya yung tipong sakitin, maybe because of the climate there kaya tinamaan sya ng sakit). sayang nga eh kasi nagresign pa sya dun sa job nya dito sa pinas (she worked in a pharmaceutical company and dun sya nagkaroon ng car). kaya ang lesson learned from her experience is be contented kung anong meron ka.

another kababata of mine is also in canada right now. she's a caregiver/household helper there and as per this girl, ang hirap daw doon. kahit daw magpaputol ng hair nya di nya magawa kasi wala syang time. noon pa nya gusto umuwi pero di pwede kasi single mom sya and she has to earn for her child's tuition fee.

kung akala natin ang buhay sa canada/australia/us ay pareho dito sa pinas, mali tayo mga sis. yes, yung iba sinuwerte. ang reality is malungkot and we have to stuggle doon para mabuhay. sabi nga ng tita ko sa australia "dito kailangan marunong kang gumawa ng paraan para maaliw/pasayahin ang sarili mo".

Ganun naman po talaga eh. kahit anong first world country pa. its always "it's not what you think it is".

its always easy to go back to the philippines. but then again, maraming hindi umuuwi despite the hirap. so there are reasons pa din. di ba? and life is more than just money or career. but of course meron namang umuwi na. kanya kanya lang trip.

but yun nga, yung mga desididong umalis. be realistic. hindi naman din masama mag dream. because dreams sometimes shapes us.

yung ibang pinoy kasi kahit hirap na hirap or walang makuhang trabaho ay di pa rin uuwi kasi ayaw mapahiya. yung iba naman nakauwi na dito sa pinas dahil nahirapan doon pero ayaw nila paalam na nakauwi na sila.

Hi everyone. Tanong ko lang, is it possible to apply for immigrant visa while you are already IN Canada, say, you are on tourist visa or student visa?

Balak ko sana mag-tourist visa para mas mabilis makapunta dun tapos apply na ng immigrant visa while there mismo sa Canada.

^if you're holding a student visa for atleast 2yrs then yes you can apply for PR na. this is way back 2005 pa ha. not unless nagkaroon ng revisions na naman ang migration laws nila.

ang hirap kasi sa pinas, kahit na magtrabaho ka na and all, ang hirap magipon... okay magretire sa pinas, or if you have a business. pero ipon wise, abroad parin ako. yes there's no place like home indeed, but with how our country's economic situation, i can't blame our kababayans why they want to move abroad. sa tax palang na kinukuha ng gov't satin ni di mo maramdaman san napupunta...
