^sis sarah, if you're going to give birth in TMC or if yung OB andun, classes are free of charge otherwise may fee na 500 which is good for 2 classes and which covers you and another participant.

The content of the class is really good -mga doctors usually yung speakers from what I heard. I have yet to see for myself this Saturday.

For basic birthing classes, babycenter.com has a series of online classes. I'll try watching the series and see kung relatable ba sya sa Pinas setting. Hehe

Very informative sis, dami matutunan and bagay sya sa tulad kong first time mom and even first time dad. So far 2 lang yung sched nila ng breastfeeding class, not sure kung magbibigay pa sila after ng May 7. Sana maka-attend ka sis

Asian Hospital will hold one too, April 16, 8-3pm. Basic birthing and breastfeeding class, nakita ko lang sa fb nila..

Received an email from TMC, may fee na nga ang classes nila starting Mar 7. Since nakapag-register ako earlier nakasama pa ko sa free registration.

^meron din sila freebies from their sponsors. I got 1 pack of Pampers newborn diapers & small-sized Cycles detergent.

After ng talk which is very informative, may q&a portion where they also give prizes to participants. Light snacks are also provided.

I'm also pre-registered dun sa TMC May 7 breastfeeding class. Kagabi may email sila na kelangan paid na by April 30 or else maforfeit ang reservation at mapunta ang slots sa waitlisted. Sa unang email kase nila pwede magbayad on the day itself.

At what month sa pregnancy, should it be good to attend birthing classes?

Ok raw around 2nd trimester. TMC is currently offering Prenatal classes, P500/couple for the Breastfeeding class & P500/couple for 4 more classes (Childbirth Preparation, Parenting 101, Baby & Child Care, Your Child's Amazing Brain). Ok naman, I attended my first one nung Saturday and helpful sya, plus andaming freebies! I got vouchers & milk samples from ProMama, 1 pack of newborn diapers from Pampers, and a detergent bar for baby's clothes from Smart Steps. May snacks na rin kasama. Sulit talaga yung bayad.

hello mga sis, i know its been awhile since this thread has been active.  hoping may makapag-share ng information  about upcoming seminars. thanks in advance. First time mom here and due this August

^I attended TMC's classes, (free since that's where i'm going to give birth, otherwise may bayad sya) TPE classes (free because I'm already a loyalty member) and I also signed up for both Rome and Chiqui's paid childbirth classes (5.5-6k per couple).

In my personal opinion mas sulit sa oras yung TPE classes because all the speakers are good. Sa TMC, we attended 3 different sessions and minsan ok, minsan hinde yung speakers nila (who are mostly doctors but not all speak well, parang nagbabasa lang ng slides yung iba, hindi fully utilized yung time, or end up not being able to answer questions from the crowd fully). I wasn't happy with the cord blood banking talk because di naman nila na-address yung burning questions ko (so how will i shell out 200k for it??) TMC classes are also very medical practitioner-centric, as in they have a portion promoting anesthesia pa and why it's a good option--- if you attend doula-led/ natural childbirth classes that are not conducted by hospitals, exact opposite naman sasabihin.

 I ended up skipping Rome and Chiqui's classes na because we felt there was a lot of overlap already on the topics covered, even with TMC and TPE madami naring overlap. Check out classes by St. Luke's BGC and MMC din, i heard they are better.

Actually, madami na din akong na-attendan na pregnancy classes (may pagka praning kasi ako eh).

Check mo sa Parenting Emporium - may different classes sila during weekends. Iba lang may bayad if you're not a member - http://theparentingemporium.com/events/

Pwede mo din check sa mga hospital, usually sa mga OB department. I was able to attend free classes from Delgado Hospital, St. Luke's QC, and Cardinal. All of which are free, kaso hindi consistent ang schedule nila, like every 2 months or something. I also saw na may classes from Makati Med, but every 2 months din ata, and the last topic was just last weekend.

Meron din sa mga mall minsan na classes, sponsored by Mothercare (well, nakita ko lang sa FB), Mommy Mundo (you can follow them in FB for their events; I attended 2 events from them for free)

Pero meron din mga paid classes na naka schedule like:
Pinoy Doulas Collective - they have 3 main modules (fertility, childbirth, and newborn care), scheduled monthly; usually all modules are only for 1 day - https://www.facebook.com/PinayDoulasCollective/
Chiqui Brosas - usually it's a 2-full-day  class every month - https://chiquibrosas.blogspot.com/
Rome Kanapi - held for 6 Sundays for 3 hrs each lecture in Ateneo - actually, I just got the number from Mommy Mundo because Rome was one of the speakers there

I think best would be to search events sa FB, or follow iyong groups above for events (like TPE, Mommy Mundo, Mothercare, Pinoy Doula, etc)
