Hi.. Im so Paranoid New Bies here Pahelp.. I just wanna ask lang po If after done for my Initial Interview then sabi po call na lang for Final Interview.. How long po ba to wait para tawagan ka ulet? I'm going to expect pa ba or hindi na..? and after the Final Interview what is the next step? I'm applying the position of customer service assistant Pleasse Help me.. hi mga sis nakapag work na ako sa sm as warehouse assistant sa may rockwell ayun ok naman ang benefits wala nga lang OT talaga. .maganda mag work sa SM kasi very professional kung 1st job mo maganda sa ganun environment ka mahasa kasi ako 1st job ko dun at madami ako natutunan at nakakatakot magkamali dahil documented agad kaya always focus dapat. .

hi girls, reading through this thread medyo napapa dalawang isip ako sa magiging work ko. sa hirap mag apply ngayun, i was lucky to immediately get accepted in this company. nag aasikaso na ako ng pre-employment ko. everything fell on its place like a wonder. i clicked apply in jobstreet, got a phone call, went thru the interview and tests, received a call over the weekend then job offer. everything happened in less than 5 days, so sabi ko baka para sakin talaga to.

i came from a different industry, and one thing stood out during my interview. the hr head kept on asking "why SM?". i know it's one of those questions na lagi naman ibinabato, pero at some point it seemed like she was thinking out loud in disbelief. the vp was really nice, straightforward and smart. he was very vocal and convinced that he wants me for the job. there's no way naman to find out but to experience this first hand. so i'll test the waters na lang. thanks to this thread, it surely prepares me... will keep you posted

oo nga e, nagkataon kasi nung araw na yun nandun lahat nung mga boss. pero ginabi na talaga ako dun sa building B kasi sinisingit lang nila ako sa mga engagements nila. kumain ako dun sa canteen kasi nahilo na ako sa gutom, grabe ang daming choices. sa call center kasi small pantry lang tapos pare pareho lang ang food.

sana maclear ako kasi may endorsement ako for additional procedure. bukas na bukas din gagawin ko. thank you angeleigh nabuhayan ako ng loob sa post mo

just want to share my experience with sm.

applied through jobstreet, after one week, i got a call from sm. yung mga naginter view sakin is hr assistant, hr manager, marketing manager, vp, and mr. sy. the after one week, pre-employment compliance na. then, clear na ako lahat. medical examination and everything. and then, nung okay na lahat sabi sakin after a week, deployment na. pero 2 weeks na, wala pa rin text from hr. pero nakakausap ko naman hr. got a text from them, ang sabi, for signature pa daw yung papers ko. pero kanina nagtext naman ulit na sabi, ok lang daw clearance muna isubmit ko kasi yung sa previous work ko, di pa mabigay coe kasi wala pa backpay. after two months pa daw. i dont know kung meron pa ako inaantay na work. :/

^kapag sa merchandising talagang iinterviewhin ni mr sy. But ALL applicants for officer level are for signature of the president, tessie coson. kaya matagal talaga ang processing.

btw, sa wakas natapos ko na ang application process ng SM. sa may 20 start. natagalan talaga in between final interview (panel, with head nung office at head ng hr) at medical exam & physical exam.

sa medical, ako nagshoulder ng laboratory tests. tapos sa physical, hindi na raw sila nagko-conduct ng full body check (so walang burlesque moment, haha) --- unless ideclare ng applicant na may issues sya physically.

sa kaso ko, i had to get a dentist's certificate. dun na ako sa inirefer nilang dentist nagpalinis ng ngipin at nagpapasta. important daw kase sa kanila ganon kase baka maging reason sa pag-absent na masakit ang ngipin. natapos ko naman physical exam in one day.

same day, pinapunta na ako sa bdo to open my payroll account.

sa mga nag-aapply palang, kelangan nyo ng mahaba-habang patience. (at pagkakaabalahan dahil nakakastress nga mag-intay.=3)

ang nakatagal sa amin, pag-iintay ng signature nung isang senior VP daw. halos three weeks na waiting time.

korek... nakakaubos ng pasensha. ayoko sana isipin na may discrimination but during my medical sa accredited clinic, the nurses were impatient and stonecold. para ko silang naiistorbo. nung pumunta naman ako sa mall clinic super tagal nung doctor. 2pm sched ko pero dumating sha 6pm na. shempre i was agitated na, so when she checked me nagpapalpitate na ako. i had to go through ecg the next day. the same clinic napaka incompetent, 3 days na wala pa yung interpretation. hr called yesterday, may 15 kasi target na makapag orientation ako. eh hindi pa nga ako clear. juskolord

Nakapagstart na ako magwork last may 20 pa, what can i say, galing na rin ako ng sm before and ganun pa rin, mahirap talaga mag adjust pag bago pa. Lalo na kung yung mga taong nasa baba mo e mas matanda pa sila sayo. Like ang service of tenure nila is 20yrs, 30yrs. Minsan, nafifeel ko na naleleft out talaga ako kasi may kanya kanya na silang friends, ako naman, need ko na ata magbaon ng sarili kong food kasi sobrang mahal ng canteen nila, tapos mga tao din, mas gusto kumain mag isa or magbaon. Its just so sad lang na tumaas nga sweldo ko ng 25percent, mas malapit pa sa tinitirhan, pero di na ako masaya. One week pa lang kasi ako, 6th day ko na now, pero parang gusto ko na magresign kasi wala naman nagtuturo sakin what to do. Like theyre expecting me to know all the process kasi galing na din ako sa same line of work. Pero hindi naman kasi nga sa tingin ko need ko pa rin ng guidance kasi bago pa lang naman ako. Sana maging ok na lahat kasi parang di ko na kaya pang tumagal.

^sis sa simula talagang ganyan, konting tiis lang. nung bagong lipat ako dati, ganyan-ganyan din nafifeel ko. eventually may magiging friends ka din jan at mag gaguide sa iyo in terms sa work.

My bestfriend used to work for SM, and now my boyfriend does. Lahat ng narinig ko pareho lang: SM needs slaves, not employees. Grabe lang. My bestfriend lasted for 5 months with SMAC an my boyfriend is now struggling sa WATC (cinemas, arena). I'll just summarize:

1. No Christmas goodies. A little thing lang naman, pero san ka nakapuntang opisina na walang goodie bag sa pasko? To think SM is one, if not THE largest company in the Philippines.

2. No overtime. That is, for managerial and officers. They stay overnights, weekends (sa office ha, not sa malls) and you don't get paid.

3. Kahit hindi mo project, you are obliged to help. Ok lang naman sana yan, pero yung tipong mag oovernight ka para sa project ng iba? Yung role mo? Labo labo. Wala sa scope ng duties mo pero YOU have to do it.

4. Measly pay. Really measly pay compared to other companies.

5. Money centered. Need to heat your baon? Bayad ka 5 pesos. Need a meeting room? Bayad ang department mo. Need to xerox? Magbayad ka muna.

6. You get leave benefits after a year. A YEAR.

I hate the fact that these hard working people are being abused. If this is not abuse, ano pa? Their attrition rate is ridiculously high.
