WORKING AT SM (SUPERMALLS)

Hi girls. Thank God nahanap ko tong forum na to, I am just new here, nag-google pa talaga ako and wala ako mahanap na info. I just want to ask lang po if magkano po ang salary ng counter supervisor sa SM department store, in SM Dasma po. I am planning to apply po kasi and wala akong idea. I have experience working in Mcdo as store manager. Please help naman po. Thanks po

nag increase na sila ngayon..i guess around 17 to 18k..before kasi 15k lang..also depends if you will negotiate and demand your starting salary based on your work experience..by the way, generous ang sm when it comes sa merit increase every year. 16 VLs and SLs..but it doesnt mean after you regularize in 6 months ma aavail mo na yan because after a year mo pa matitikman ang sarap ng leave..13 month pay and bonus na half of your salary..extra restday kapg may pasok ka ng christmas..free uniform 3 sets..hindi din naman nawawalan ng trainings and seminars to managers and supervisors down to ranks..true may mga politics sa department..survival of the fetest..You have to be the STRONGEST LINK or else baka mag call a friend ka and ask if youre going to stay or not..fyi pala, mahigpit sila sa time..that i guess na mold sa akin ni SM ang discipline..if you incurred 5 lates in a month, that makes a violation of warning of suspension, and if it follows another late of 6, musta ang bakasyones mo sa singapore..definitely a second offense of 6 days suspension..ang supervisor ang gumagawa ng change of schedule ng ranks..so be careful with that..any mistake or kulang na entry may katapat na violation yan..same rules..especially pag late filing ka ng schedule..at naka two times ka..suspended ka na..malaki ang scope ng work sa SM..magandang training ground din..madami kang malalaman..anyways goodluck!!..

Hi newbie here, I just got an invitation for an interview sa SM for the Selling Department Supervisor, may I know kung ano talaga job description nito? Anyone? I didn't expect na mashoshortlist ako kasi kulang talaga ako sa work experiences sa corporate world. Housewife ako most of my married life. But prior to that nakapagwork na din nung single pa pero ang tagal na talaga. Nakapag franchise ako ng business  in 2010  sa isang mall sa Baguio then after bumaba na kami in 2012.  I had to give up  na yung business kasi di rin profitable.  Nagwork ako twice sa bpo industry and di rin matagal. Nangangailangan talaga ako ng work ngayon so I tried jobstreet at dun ko nakita yun, I have to prepare din sa interview kahit di ako nageexpect much dahil na rin sa mga nabasa ko dito hehe.  Although nakapag work na din ako as sales lady nung college days pa pero super tagal na talaga.

Please any advice? Thanks in advance.

As far as i know po, Selling dept Sup or SDS, ay partner ng Selling Department Manager sa pagmamanage ng department nila. Very after sila sa pagreach ng quota. May incentive kasi yun (monthly, quarterly & annually). Pero dahil mahirap maa-reach ang quota, they aim for growth. Dito rin kasi nakabase ang merit increase. Si SDS din po ang hands on sa mga tao- Sales Assistant, Sales Clerk, Inventory Assistant & Inventory Clerk. Attendance and schedules si SDS po ang may hawak. Marami din reports na ginagawa. And pag-appraise sa mga tao, kay sds din.

Usually SDS are very presentable, kasi kayo po ang humaharap sa mga customers, in short maganda at guwapo talaga ay preferred. My advice is ok naman magwork sa SM as SDS pero make sure po na time is not a problem in your end. kasi 6 days work po kayo, and thank you lang ang OT. Tapos laging may pasok sa mga holidays. Minsan may mga midnight sale so be ready to stay and go home late.

Hi guys gagraduate pa lang ako this April.. Parang gusto ko din mag-apply sa SM based sa mga comments nyo hehe kaso nga lang may mga negative comments din heheh. Anyway tips naman po paano sila mag-interview and talaga bang aabot sa mga 3 interviews? and talagang ganun po ba katindi ang medical? Ano po ba yung mga kinukuha nila for medical? Thanks..

Nag work din ako sa isang sm affiliate but it was 13 yrs ago pa . nag apply ako as supervisor ang naalala ko 3 interviews nga yata yun.One from hr, tapos VP  , then yung may-ari na anak ni MR Sy. For medical naman  parang ganun din sa ibang company  yung procedure. pero nag paregular lang ako then  nag resign din ako , kasi parang nasa call center ka rin maski holiday me pasok . Mas maganda pa nga sa call center mas malaki ang bayad.

Bawal ang may tattoo sa SM, eyebrow, lips or any art tattoo. Over all physical exam by the company nurse/doctor.
Sa SM todo-todo ang work Dyan, no matter how you are pag di ka type ng management waley  ang effort mo. you should know how to play field and who's group to join... Madami pang take home work sa SM.
I agree with anjeli, if money wise ang concern mo mag-call center na Lang.

hi got a text from sm, they are considering me for business center operations supervisor and is inviting me for an interview. any idea on what would be the job responsibilities? i wanted to go to the interview but im hesitant kasi you have to work on holidays and weekends and your off will be on a weekday. is there any positions in sm that does not require working on a holiday and on a weekend? kasi im thinking i might go to the interview and just asked the hr if there are job positions that does not require working on a weekends and maybe they would consider me for another postion. the interview will be in moa pala.
