i submitted my resume last thursday and was invited for an interview just this monday.
so i had the interview with HR this monday then she asked me to take the exam the same day.
then after the personality test and abstract exam i was told to come back yesterday for an interview with the VP naman. the VP was nice and very straight to the point. she told me that i should get a call this week for the next interview.
she also said that i would go through 3 more interviews if ever. very hands on sila. long way to go pa ako...

hayy.... hopefully, everything will turn out well tomorrow. super intensive ng interviews ko. ang hirap pag higher position ang inapplyan but i'm happy i've survived the looooooooong process

Hmmm... Nag-apply ako sa SM as HR assistant. I passed the 3 interviews and a series of exams. Nung requirements and medical na ako, i was advise to have an appointment sa doctor nila. And, she classified me as "unfit for employment" because my scoliosis was moderate to severe because it is physically obvious. And that was according daw sa standards set by SM. Kapag moderate to severe (physically obvious) ang sakit or disability, CLASS D or unfit for employment ang classification. She even showed me the copy of the guidelines kasi ayaw kong maniwala nung una. I felt bad kasi I was not even asked to get clearance from an Orthopedic which ginawa nung ibang applicants. And sa three years kong nag-work as pre-school teacher, never akong nag-absent just because of my scoliosis (which I know of since college pa ako). Ewan ko ba, feeling ata ng doctor e "kargador" yung position na inapplyan ko. By the way, kasabay kong nagpa-medical is mga sales clerk.

Any experiences similar to mine with SM mga sis? Enlighten me please. Thanks!!

i survived the final interview with the AVP. the universe was aligned with me at the time of my interview. first, she said she'll be "considering" me for the position. after, she said she'll ask her assistant to give the requirements i'm IN already, got it!!! yey!!! right there and then, i've got the job wooohoooo!!!! i've gotta wait for the HR's call on when to get the list of requirements then tuluy-tuloy na sana!

sis, ganun talaga sa SM, kapag class D, di talaga natatanggap. i know na di naman pang "kargador" yung position na inapplayan mo, pero kung HR Assistant yan, di ka din naman naka-upo lang sa desk eh. lalo na kung sa timekeeping ka pa mapupunta, medyo madami trabaho dun. actually sa tingin ko halos lahat naman ng work sa SM matrabaho tapos 6 days a week pa, wala nga ako buhay nun nung dun ako nagwork dahil laging pagod. mas gusto ko magpahinga nalang sa bahay kaysa gumimik. ang maganda lang dun is yung training na makukuha mo. siguro feeling ng nila, kahit may clearance ka pa sa doctor mo, baka di mo makayanan yung workload. ok lang yan sis, baka meron mas magandang opportunity for you.

Ewan ko ba sis... Parang feeling ko kasi hindi man lang ako nabigyan ng chance. And yun nga, ang habol ko din kasi yung training which is narinig ko nga na maganda daw talaga kaya i felt bad. Parang, who are they to judge na hindi ko kaya, e ako naman ang mas nakakaalam nun. Never akong nag-absent dahil sa scoliosis ko. It never interfered sa work ko. Pero, tama ka, baka meron mas magandang opportunity sa akin.

mga sis, san ba usually ginagawa yung mga interviews? sa head office sa MOA ba or sa SM branch na naka-assign yung post? may idea ba kayo or range sa salary? interested kasi ako to apply but i don't know what to expect.

i tried to apply with SM Nova in the marketing part pero parang kinakabahan ako e. kasi i worked with SM marketing people before and they dont look too happy in their position.

ano ba working environment pag based ka sa mall?

how's the job offer? did u accept it? mahaba-habang process pa sakin. still waiting for the HR's call for the list of requirements. hayyyy.... matindihang patience talaga for SM. this should be worth it! i'm planning to take a vacay muna coz for sure, matagal pa ito.

they gave naman my asking salary, though im still not familiar with their benefits kaya mej pag iisipan ko pa. i still have 3 days to think, sat is my medical na kasi. do you have idea sa benefits ng SM?

^ sa IT ka right? malamang mas malaki ang sweldo mo
sa benefits naman, the usual -- SL/VL, bereavement chuva, i forgot their term , loans, tapos they will set aside a certain amount for your retirement na hindi kukunin sa sweldo mo. wala silang mga rice subsidy. may bond din sila for 2 years worth P10k lang naman. ayaw kasi ng SY family na mag-iinvest sa training tapos aalis din agad kaya they've come up with a bond.

that's all i can remember. buti ka pa, pa-medical na. ako naghihintay pa rin sa call ng HR para lang sa list of requirements. mahaba-habang intayan na naman ito!
