WORKING AT SM (SUPERMALLS)

I used to work as a sales supervisor in SM department store. Enjoy ang trabaho kasi parang window shopping ka everyday. Kaya nga lang pangit talaga ang schedule kasi 1 day off lang and shifting sched pa.

Pero grabe super hirap makapasok talaga dito. 3 months before ako nahire. Tapos may ibang question ang HR na tingin ko ay too personal na. 

Anyways, pinakamasaya dito ang sale. Mauuna kang makakapili.

ang tagal nga ng hiring process nila..parang inabot din ako ng 3 months..I had an interviews tapos personality test and last [textspeak!] interview sa avp for ops tapos medical at bongga ang requirements..ang dami

anyway, i'm so looking forward to start although feeling ko wala masyado perks kasi sa customer service ako which is [textspeak!] mga bills payment and mga gift wrapping daw and PA system..mga ganon daw

Alley, exciting s customer service!! sayo dadaan lahat ng complaints.. hehe.. mga masungit na clients.. masaya sa customer service.. basta nasa selling area ka, kasi nga una kayo makapili ng mga sale items and all.... like what lovemybaby said... shifting nga lang... been with the training department..

naku! kaya pa naman ako umalis sa call center kasi ayoko na sa masusungit na clients at sa mga complaints..tsktsk..anyway.i'll give it a try 

mukhang walang perks sa department na napuntahan ko..dapat pala sa selling na lang hehe

Sisses, may idea kayo how much salary range sa supervisory level? May work kasi si hubby sa ibang company pero ininvite sya ng SM for interview, nakita resume nya online. twice na sya na interview. TIA

Hi, Good day ladies. I am up for an interview this coming week for the assistant mall manager position at SM.
I currently hold the same level, but in the hospitality industry located in Manila....but like most of you in this thread, i wish to have a 2 day off so i can get my (social) life back, or at least start any of my hobbies again

Does this position have a 6 day work week?
Salary? and shifting din po ba?

yes, SM has 6 day work sched, pero ang alam ko pag Head office may alternate saturday work sila pero extended ang weekdays for that week ng 30 minutes ata... shifting sa operations like mall and dept store.. negotiable ang pay sa kanila, yun nga lang pwedeng dapat pasok sa payscale lalo na sa mga existing employees with same position..

supervisory level? hmm around 15-16k...

actually the salary the koi1028 mentioned is starting salary lang for supervisory level...

may increase ba once you get regularized? i mean after 6 mos or yearly ang increase?

yes sis. starting yan.. di ko lang sure kung sa supermalls, baka mas mataas ang range nila kesa sa dept store.. well you can always  haggle naman for the salary...

yep, its confirmed 6 day work week, no days off on the weekends for operations, but the salary is negotiable and i did somehow get the asking that i wanted

how is the 2nd interview like? the AVP would be the one doing it at SM north...can you give me any tips? TIA

madami ba opening sm supermalls ngayon? kainis kasi blocked dito eh di ko tuloy ma view openings.. pa update naman sa mga sisses na nakakaalam if ano ba open na positions sa sm... tia!

^Madami sila opening sis, may accounting officer,mall manager,CRS Supervisor,Programmer,accounting manager,leasing supervisor,etc. basta madami eh

^yup. madami talagang opening, kasi marami rin ang nagreresign. continuous hiring nga sila eh. resigned na rin ako haha sa wakas..

SM in our place is opening on September. I had my 1st interview last June 19, take home yung personality test coz I was the last person they interviewed on that day. Today, they called and offered me the Selling Manager position for acccessories. Actually, CS Supervisor ang inapplyan ko but they are offering me this position instead. So that's after 10 days from the 1st interview. Actually, 1st week of May ata ako nag-apply thru Jobstreet pero June 17 lang nila ako ininvite for an interview. According to the girl who called me this afternoon to expect a call within this week or next week. I-e-endorse an raw yung resume ko sa Business Unit Head nila.

Questions:

1. SM in our place will open in a few months time, u think my application will still take much time?

2. What are the benefits of a Selling Manager?

3. Will i undergo a tedious interview process like our other sisses here have experienced?

And yes... naka-uniform since sa department ako i-a-assign... and i don't like their uniform. For sure heavy make-up ito at naka-stockings pa.

Sino dito ang employee pa ng SM? Please share some more insights, pati na rin yung mga newly hired.
