I have a 10 year old shih tzu and meron sya malaking tumor sa breast nya and medyo mahina na sya ngayon...

Marami na kaming naging aso pero never ata kami nagkaroon ng matabang aso. Pinapakain naman namin madalas at hanggang gusto pa nila kumain. Kaso payat pa rin sila. Wala naman silang sakit gusto ko lang patabain. Di ko alam paano nagagawa ng iba.

Tinry ko na sila bigyan ng LC-VIT, pakainin ng kanin, at pakainin ng meat. Pero ang regular nilang pagkain ay dry adult food kibbles kasi parang ayaw nila ng iba.

Pomeranian at aspin ang mga aso namin. Help please

i have a long coat chihuahua pure white. super taba. favorite lying position niya is yung parang lechon baboy kaya lagi ako nangigigil pag naka ganon siyang position.

i gave her tiki tiki nung less than 2months old pa lang siya. i read kasi na sakit ng chihuahua ang mangisay pag bumaba ang blood sugar and super liit kasi niya so i got scared na baka hindi mabuhay. aside from that wala na. while she was growing up lumolobo rin katawan. nung mataba taba na siya i stopped giving her vitamins mga 6months old.

ask your vet ano pwede. ako kasi na recommend siya dun sa shih tzu ko kaya yun na rin binigay ko sa mga nagiging puppies namin. pero as long as healthy naman yung pets mo ok na yan. mahirap din ang mataba yung aso kasi laging nakahiga lang ang tamad. konting lakad pagod na. nakaka worry din kasi baka mamaya ma heart attack na lang bigla.

Ipa-deworm mo kaya sis?

IMO dogs are just like people, merong sadyang matakaw at meron din tamad kumain. We have a shih and a poodle, free feeding sila. Si shih super takaw, maya-maya kumakain, pero si poodle tamad, kung kailan niya lang maisipan. Pati 'pag bibigyan sila ng doggie treats, si shih parang 'di nabubusog pero si poodle tinatamad na after a while saka mas mabilis siya magsawa sa food.

alagang vet naman both of my dogs. Kumpleto sila ng 8in1 at deworming :/

When my furbabies (shihtzu/lhasa apso) were puppies pa lang, i gave them tikitiki drops din. After few months, nistop ko na, ok naman appetite nila. Ngayon yung boys ko (i have 3) ang chunky nila, as in ambigat, pero tama lang naman sila mageat. Yung girls ko (i have 4) sila yung slim, pero mas malakas sila kumain kesa sa boys ko... Inaagawan pa nila ng food yung boys.
We only feed them once a day (1cup ng df per day) pag dinagdagan namin, natitira lang or hindi na nila kinakain.
I think depende talaga sa katawan ng doggy kung tabain sila or hindi.

Natry mo na palitan dog food nila sis? Madalas mo ba sila pakainin ng meat? Baka factor din 'yun bakit ayaw nila ng kibbles, nasanay na sila sa lasa ng karne.

^did it once or twice lang. Was trying to entice them to eat more. Problema, yun lang kinain nila, iniwan yung kasama sa bowl. I cant feed them meat all the time since di praktikal. Dun kaya ako nagkamali? Paano ko kaya icocorrect yun?

^ Ah kung once or twice lang naman okay lang 'yan sis. Palitan mo lang kibbles nila ng ibang brand. Try mo din ibang flavor, like 'yung lamb ganun. Patikimin mo din ng dog food na naka can, 'yung hindi dry, baka sakali mas magustuhan nila.

'Yung pooodle ko kasi every 2 months nagpapalit ng kibbles. Dalawa lang naman inaalternate ko. 'Pag 'di pinalitan, nagsasawa talaga siya. Choosy.

Dog ko sanay sa dog food, yung dry. Pinakain ko ng nasa can, yung turkey flavor ayun ayaw na kumain ng dry. Ngayon lamb flavor naman sya. Pero di nga praktikal kaya mini mix ko yung sa can at dry.. Ok naman nauubos naman.

Hi, mejo madami ako concerns so please bear with me. First time pet owner din kasi ako, so everything is new to me. Nagre-research naman ako sa net, but di ko lang makita yung gusto kong info.

last december, 6 months pa lang yung female askal ko when she bled. once lang sya na-out of sight sa akin and lagi nasa loob lang ng gate. then may another dog ako, male shih tzu. Anyway, just last week, napansin ko lang na malaki yung tummy nya and mabagal sya kumilos. So I assumed na buntis sya. Then nung Sunday, nanganak na sya ng 6 beautiful puppies. Right after giving birth and nursinbg the puppies, grabe appetite nya. This goes on for 2 days. 3rd day bumaba na yung appetite nya. as in almost a day na sya di kumakain. but masigla naman sya and she still nurses her puppies.

eto concerns ko.
1. possible ba na male shih ang father? kasi wala namang dogs na pakalat kalat sa subdivision. Of course it doesnt matter kahit ano yung tatay, i'm just curious.
2. normal bang mawalan ng appetite yung mom? or should I check with the vet na? Most of the time masungit, di ko mahawakan. minsan malambing naman, pero natatakot na din ako.
3. 3days old na yung puppies, may chance pa ba na kainin yun ng mom? baka kasi nagugutom sya, bigla nya kainin yung anak nya. but, may food naman lagi sa container nya.
4. May mga humihingi ng puppies kasi they think na si shih tzu yung dad. pero kung askal daw, wag na lang. e close friend ko yun. ayoko nga syang bigyan, napajudgemental.

pasensya na, now lang kasi ako nagka female dog. i don't know what to expect.

Hello guys,

I just wanted to ask how do you cure skin diseases or galis aso in a golden retriever? sabi ng iba cause daw ng moisture or dryness of skin..

Hi Sisses,

We'll be having our second Labrador by tomorrow.  It's been three years since we had our first dog and as far as I remember, the second day he was with us, he already showed that he pooped at the backyard, though there were accidents inside the house.  I wasn't familiar with crate training then and I think it took three months where I can say that he was already good for indoors.  He did munch three door mats and ten pairs of foot wear until he was six months of age.

Question is: 
1.  How long does it take to really potty train?  Does it depend on the breed? 
2.  How long does it usually take to house break a puppy?

1. Potty training depends on the individual dog and on the owner as well, how consistent you are with training.
2. same answer.

Puppies have small bladders and very little control. Normally after eating, they will need to go. So you have to be consistent to taking them where you want them to do that. It depends talaga with every dog. When I was potty training my dog, after meals, I would take him to the newspaper (indoor training muna) or when I spot his tell-tale signs of starting to poop, I would carry him there if he's not gone to the newspaper. Tapos yun nga, after meals, lagi bantay. Then in-between meals, every 30m hanggang  pahaba ng pahaba yung interval habang lumalaki na sya. I take him to the yard as much as possible but he has that plastic-lined newspaper in our room in case he has to go.

I have an indoor dog kasi so now he's an adult, we can go hours before we escort him out to do his thing. He also knows to call our attention if he wants to go, too. I'm always at home kasi so I was able to watch him very closely at the beginning and that helped a lot because nakabantay talaga ako.
I can't comment on crate training because I've never used it.
