Share lang:

A few months back, my bad cholesterol level was tested at 800. Iyan ang time na pagkahatid ko sa anak ko sa Xavier School, doon ako tumatambay sa Starbucks sa Greenhills. Everyday, masikip ang batok ko, namamanhid ang cheeks ko.

I knew I was in a bad shape. So I started looking for supplements. Previously, hindi kasi ako naniniwala, when I was young kasi, my dad once was an investor in a pharmaceutical company, and he sold his shares when he found out that the company was passing synthetic products as natural. Super biased na ako against many pharmaceutical companies and supplements because of that knowledge.

I did my due diligence (a habit formed because I have been going to China to source our products extensively, 10 times a year, and I check every little detail of our products.)

It turns out one of the best supplements is USANA nga. So I started looking for an associate (USANA being an MLM company) and I never took it against them (business model).

I finally found an inaanak of mine (kasal) who is in USANA and called him. Simply, I signed up to get the products cheaper.

Did the products work for me? Yes. As in I feel better than I had in years.

Here are some of my thoughts:

There is a difference between proven pharmaceutical quality products, own developed and manufactured, compared to most others that are bought and relabeled to their own brands. The difference being how I feel physically. Even my children are now taking Usanimals and changes are noticeable.

The belief in something good, especially in health, has put me in a tight spot. On one end, I would like to share something I know is good. On the other hand, people (some) perceive me as marketing the products for my own personal gain. I think this is a dilemma many USANA associates are facing.

To this, let me do a disclosure:

I am a businessman and owns a brand of painting tools called MASTERSONS. It is contract manufactured in China, and I have chosen a few manufacturers who can produce the products based on our specs out of more than a hundred I have visited and audited in four years (2009-2012). The products are distributed nationwide to hardware stores and paint centers (and some wholesalers with their assigned regions).

I joined USANA and seriously, the income I generate is an income I do not need.

Having said the above, when there is something good, and especially for health, I would still share this. In fact, I have been on my close friends and supplied them (some for free, others at cost), so as long as they take and I know how it will help them (as they attested later).

CONCLUSION

As with any products, do not take my word. Please do your due diligence. Please. Especially for products that affect the body and health and our children. DUE DILIGENCE. Research. Ask. Check. For supplements especially, simply checking the labels is not enough. Consider too the ingredients, should the company decide to disclose that information (some do not as they contain parabens).

As for me, I am 45 years old now and one of the purposes of my life now (as I listed them not too long ago) was to be able to help improve the lives of other people. So if anyone here would benefit from what I have shared (such as doing due diligence from this point on) then I am good.

Good luck.

P.S. USANA focuses on nutritionals among three lines. USANA may have been one of the rare companies with therapeutic claims (most others do not), most associates are no doctors. Remember lang po.

Hi! I'm also a USANA user. I take Essentials 2x/day, Proflavanol once a day and Visionex once a day. Been taking it for months na and nawala na dysmenorrhea ko which I have been experiencing for years. And my eye grade went down from 375 to 250, both eyes :)

@nurse lynj- gaano ka na katagal umiinom ng visionex? with my 200-300 astigmatism both eyes and 500 grade for both eyes also kaya pa kaya ng visionex to? i want to try also. May trial pack ba for visionex? TIA!

My hubby and I are also usana users pero mga 3 weeks pa lang, We're taking usana essentials 2x a day. As per experience  ng friend namin naging 28day cycle nya in less than 2mos of taking usana essentials.. So i wanna give a try since my period is very irregular. Just today I add coquinone 30 as optimizer.  My husband  has has low sperm count and motility. I hope it works for both of us since we are TTC for more than 4years now.

isang question lang.. i wanna try this sana and gusto maging member kaso takot ako sa membership fee nila.

Pag nag member ka ba dito.. May package na ibibigay sayo? kunwari 1 bottle of essentials. nutrimeal etc.. or membership fee lang talaga sya then saka ka lang makakakuha ng discounted price ng supplements nila?

for you to become a member you have to register sa usana, medyo pricey para maging member kasi you need to avail of their package, which is yung range of products of your choice plus yung 990 na starter kit nila you should know someone na pwede mo maging sponsor.  :) after that you can order their products at a discounted price shipped to your own home. :)

hi sis xee.

pero after reading the thread, naintriga ako lalo na sa essentials, proflavanol and biomega. i'll ask my doctor kung pwede ako mag take nyan since malapit na matapos medication ko. btw mga sis, gaano nyo na katagal tinitake supplements nyo? talaga bang ganun karami dapat i-take sa isang araw? based sa mga nabasa ko, yung essentials should be taken by pair tapos atleast twice a day? wala bang all in one supplement ang USANA para isang inuman nalang, parang centrum? ;D dami ko na kasi nainom na gamot since 2004 nung nadevelop asthma ko, takot akong magkaproblem sa liver.

^suggestion. Don't use the optimizers.  Use the Usana essentials. Ito and counterpart ng Centrum.  You're right na minimum dosage of Usana Essentials ay twice a day.  Four times a day and optimal.  These are "supplements" so meaning the lacking nutrition from the food that we take, usana will serve as a supplement.

Good luck.

Hi po. Parang gusto ko din itry mag USANA ESSENTIALS. Sa mga nababasa ko, kailangan siya ng body ko :-) saan po ba pwede makabili? Only in online shop lang po ba? Walang place na pwedeng puntahan? And how much po per bottle and tingi. Salamat po!
