When I asked my son's pedia is payat ba son ko for his age, she advised me to get Cellife for my son. It's a food supplement na hinahalo sa milk or food ng baby nyo. Honestly, nakatulong sya talaga. My son is now 12kgs and mabigat sya for 18months daw. His vitamins is pediafer.

^Yes, her weight increased naman, but I stopped putting it in her milk at around 2 years. It was P7/sachet 3 years ago? Sorry, medyo matagal na. Not all pedias know about it (our current one's not familiar, but our 1st pedia and pedia-gastro were the ones who recommended it).

with my 6 month old baby, she doesn't drink much milk. Up to now, her milk (formula) consumption is still at 120ml. since she turned 3 mos. that has always been her consumption.  I have increased it to 160ml, but she seldom leaves the bottle empty.

in the case of solid foods, she has high appetite (she can consume half bottle) but she doesn't like to drink water.

My daughter ok naman ang weight, nasa 50% percentile. We make blended food nya composed of steamed veggies bricoli coliflowr etc then add simmered salmon with belpepper. Make cubes after ma blend. We give 1-2 cubes along with other table food namin na pwedi sa kanya.

But [textspeak!] she gets ill, hina mag milk and eat ! I tried giving pediasure 2 bottles, then the rest 3 bottles ay yung regular milk nya na enfagrow A+. Aba nagkalaman sya lalo! May lactose intolerance sya ng konti, we give before enfagrow lactose free before switching to pediasure.

^malakas talaga makataba ang pediasure as aside from matamis, mataas ang calorie content nya. my cousin who used to take pediasure anlaki nya before but my aunt decided to switch brands kasi aside from the price, mas naging picky eater ang cousin ko. it doesn't really help in teaching the child to eat solids from what i've seen with my cousin's case.

Hi Mommies,

any one here had same experience like mine. Within 1 month dapat mag gain weight sya. kundi mag papa xray sya to  check if may PC sya. kasi 10.5k lang sya..ilang araw lang sya di nakapag milk bumaba na agad timbang nya..

^^Subukan mong huwag painumin ng milk at pakainin ng biscuits for 1 week (or cut the intake in half). Nakakabusog kasi yan tapos wala nang space ang tummy for other solids. See if her appetite improves afterwards. For her food, you can prepare rice with sabaw tapos subuan mo 1 spoon every 15 minutes throughout the day (kahit habang naglalaro). That's our pedia's advise. It worked for my daughter.

Magugutom sya from not drinking milk and munching on biscuits kaya mas mae-encourage syang kumain ng kanin.

My daughter's 4. When I weaned her off the bottle at age 3, lumakas ang appetite nya (ayaw rin kasi nyang uminom ng milk sa baso, so hindi na talaga bumibigat ang tyan nya sa milk).

I read that children at around 2 yo start to get picky kasi from an evolutionary standpoint, back when humans still hunted and foraged for food, 2yo children started helping grownups to pick fruits and vegetables. If they picked and ate anything poisonous, they died, so they started to eat only things that were familiar to them.

@iceylicious:
DV is right. Changing milk will not help. Appetite stimulants also will not change her eating habits. You have to decrease her milk intake in order for her to have appetite for solids.
Yung biscuits naman, madaling machew and sometimes natutunaw lang sa mouth so no effort for her to learn to chew. Try to gradually expose her to food of different textures para masanay siya kumain. You can start with lugaw with meat and veggies then gradually move to rice and viands.
It helps also kasi if she eats with the family para exposed siya to different types of food.
