@emv555:
8.5 to 9.3 kgs is not so bad for an 11 month old baby who was born low birth weight and premature. Try not to compare your child with other kids who were born with adequate weight and age/pregnancy age kasi iba ang basehan kapag premature at small for birth weight ang baby.
If we base it sa birth weight niya na 5 pounds or 2.2 kgs, nasa normal range pa ang weight ng anak mo. Ideal weight for her is 7.7 kgs.
Also, I will have to agree with your pedia. Pneumonitis pertains to a viral lung infection. It may or may not lead to bacterial infection later on. A normal child will have around 8 upper respiratory tract viral infections in one year.

hello there promil gold din gamit anak ko. hndi cya tabain but in fairness maganda ang activities nya sa promil gold. at times hyper. she is nw taking mosegor. kita ko agad pagbabago sa appetite but pedia says aftr a month itigil na pag nakaimprove na appetite.

When my baby reached 1 yo, her weight is 9kg. Our pedia advised us not to change milk yet until she reaches the target weight of 10 kgs, so we're still on Enfapro A+ even if she's 13 months old already.

She just learned how to spit out food when she doesn't like the taste. Before, even if mabulunan na sya, hala sige lunok pa din. Ngayon, hobby na nya ang pagluwa ng food! :( What we do when she says no to food is binibigyan namin ng kung anong mahahawakan na mapaglilibangan nya. If nasa iba na ang attention nya, we'll try to feed her, and sinusubo naman nya. That's how she finishes her food. It really takes a lot of time and patience every meal.

Totoo talaga sa patience. Ang baby ko naman, nagiinarte pag nakikita ako while she's eating so kelangan ko umalis or magtago. Mas kumakain sya pag kay yaya. Buti na lang at matyaga mga yayamaids magpakain at magluto ng ibang pagkain pag biglang dinura ang nakahain sa kanya.

^Ginagawa ko noon sis, while feeding him with his usual mashed food (he was less than a year old nito), I let him hold something to munch like his teething rusks. Gusto nya kasi gamitin fingers/hands nya to eat. Minsan ginagawa ko na parang dip nya ang teething rusk sa mashed food nya and then sasabay ko ang subo sa spoon. It'll also help your baby kung magagamit nya fingers nya to eat. Give him finger foods from time to time.

Ilang taon na ang anak mo sis? Went through an appetite crisis din before pero yun aking medyo malala kasi ayaw na nga niya kumain ng solids, ayaw niya pa ng milk niya :( Tried different approaches - playing with his food, pakiusap na kumain, and telling him half-truths na di siya lalaki pag di siya kumain or kukunin siya ng doctor pag di niya naubos yung milk or food niya which are all wrong and ineffective. huhu. So pedia advised us to change milk and try out several brands which we did. Hit and miss mostly yung iba until we tried Lactum. Nagulat ako kasi first time ng anak ko to taste it, naubos niya yung entire bottle so we took it as a sign na he liked it. haha. Slowly, we noticed na his appetite got better and he started maintaining a steady normal weight.

Sis sky_butterfly7,
boy ba baby mo?  at 9months, my baby girl also nasa 25-30oz a day nalang, parang bumaba or hindi halos tumaas compared sa earlier months.
then she also eats 3x a day. Try to give your baby more nutritional food.  You can give pureed squash, zucchini, cauliflower, brocolli, avocado, meat & some fruits.  I started giving such home-made puree to baby from 6months old. fino-frozen into cubes then thaw & heat/ steam para matunaw then serve. Regular breakfast nya cerelac or brown rice cereal, then lunch & dinner are homemade food na.  Ok naman ang weight ni baby, a little above average sya.

mga sis,
Recently, ang hirap na nya pakainin.  At ang kulit kulit ko sa pedia asking how to make her gain more weight.  Walang ibang ma-advice kundi keep the same vitamins (Celeen) and supplements (Nutrilin) and same milk (enfagro A+)... ang kulit kulit ko na how to increase appetite.  advice na nga ng mother ko ako na raw mag research ng other brands (bothered din kasi mother ko dahil hirap pakainin and slim si baby compared sa amin when we were kids; pambaryo lang din daw yun Nutrilin, ngek), sabihin ko nalang daw sa pedia na out of stock kaya pinalitan ko (ngek).

Although sabi nga na hindi porket mataba ay maganda/ok, still nahihirapan na kasi ako magpakain kay baby and she is not gaining well (gumaan pa dahil nagka sipon at sobrang likot!!!).  What appetizers, supplements, milk have you tried for your baby?
