Dubai / Abu Dhabi: Questions and Issues (Lucky 7)

Sali na din ako sa discussion. I'm a Civil engg fresh graduate and board passer. One month palang ako in sharjah, but my family and I are moving to Qatar by the end of the month kasi lipat ng work dad ko. I just e-mailed my first cv awhile ago, may nakita ate ko opening for fresh grads sa qatar.

here's my question: saan usually nagsstart ang fresh grads? kasi i've searched online na at sobrang dalang lang talaga ang opening ng project managers/engineer or site engineer for fresh grads. kahit ojt nga wala ako. usually pa, puro QS, QC/[textspeak!] nakikita ko tas at least 3 years experience pa. What to do, my friend? heheh.

hi sis! sa case mo kasi fresh grad ka palang kaya medyo mahihirapan ka maghanap dito ng engineer position kasi kakumpetensya mo yung may mga experience na din dito. kung marunong kang mag cost and estimate or autocad, pede yun as your stepping stone.

^ thanks sis. mahirap nga talaga. pwede naman estimation and autocad kaya lang parang sayang naman kasi di talaga yun yung gusto ko na line of work. saka original plan ko talaga mag masters din after 2 years. so parang di din siya siguro macocount as relevant experience pag magwork ulit ako after school. saka kaya gusto ko muna magwork before masters kasi gusto ko muna maexperience yung real work, na outside school.

isa pa, anyone here knows any sea/land cargo service from dubai/sharjah to doha? we'll be moving there by the end of the month. tas we don't know what to do with our washing machine and oven. sobrang impractical kasi ipa-air cargo to doha, so we're thinking na ipadala na lang sa philippines. eh wala naman gagamit nun dun, tas bibili naman ulit once we get to doha.

o baka any of guys gusto bilhin ang wasing machine and oven? pati queen-size bed na din?

^sis, try mo maginquire sa Kanoo.. kung magbabackread ka, (di ko kasi maalala at naiwan sa pinas yung number) may nagbigay sa akin ng number from kanoo tapos from there tawag ka at bibigyan ka ng mobile number ng person incharge.. nagship din ako ng TV at microwave from dubai to doha last year

Hello peeps, ask ko lang po plano ko kasing magpunta ng Dubai for weekend visit, need ko lang malaman kung ang designation ko dito sa Bahrain eh Work Supervisor, pwede na ba akong bumili ng Visa upon arrival? thanks.

^bat ganun? di daw sila nagshiship to doha or philippines. actually, nung first call namin hiningi muna yung name and mobile namin, tas tawag daw siya after 5 mins. then nung tumawag na, sabi di daw sila nagshiship. wala namang binigay na cellphone number.

^Nagsiship sila sis, same number ang tinawagan ko dati.. try ko hanapin yung receipt ni hubby nung clinaim niya yung box dito.. try mo ulit tumawag sabihin mo magpapadala ka sa Doha by Air, yung sa akin kasi umalis ng 6am sa dubai then after 1hour nasa doha na pero gabi na naclaim ni hubby,papadala pa nga sana ako ng pork adobo sa box hehe.. Hanapin mo sa Kanoo yung Manaf, siya contact ko dati max 70kg ang bigat na pwede mo ipadala..

hello mga sis! i'm back. still ongoing pag process ng documents ko. God willing mga mid May punta na ako ng Abu Dhabi.  Mga sis may alam ba kayng room for rent na mura lang? Kasi hubby is currently scouring the ads for room rental kasi nasa campo sya nila nakatira need na niya move pag dating ko. Also, yung marraige certificate ba kailangan ng dfa something and uae embassy tatak? for the spouse visa. thanks po.

500 plus ata... may kasama pang ibang gamit kasi kailangan maabot yung 70kg.. siningitan ko ng kung ano ano, kasi sa akin yung box eh. Got it from makati express kasi sila yung may box na kasya ang tv ko

hello mga sis... pa recommend naman ng magaling na OB sa magandang hospital dito sa dubai, sana western educated kahit na pana basta magaling.... thanks po

sis, ang alam ko dapat may visa ka na bago ka punta dito sa dubai. im not really sure though. may list kasi ng nationalities na pwedeng kumuha ng visa upon arrival. usually europeans.

^sis, TTC ka ba? try mo sa Conceive Clinic. kaya lang hindi sya covered ng insurance. Location is Sharjah, Indian doctor. Kaya lang antagal ng initial appointment. ako nga tumawag last week, august 8 na nakuha kong appointment. Fully booked na daw at mag bakasyon sya sa july.

Or try mo din sa International Modern Hospital. May magaling na ob daw dun. Yung landlady ko before ni recommend sa kin yun kaya lang hindi ako nakapunta. Di rin kasi covered ng health insurance ko yung hospital.
