@curlytops:  Sis kung yung parents mo andun na why not just get a father's/family visa?  You can stay as long as your father stays in Dubai unless you transfer your visa sponsorship to your employer.

Regarding finding work sa Marketing field, meron naman though it won't be that easy.  Since it's marketing, some companies will require you to meet with clients, and in some cases you need to know how to speak in Arabic.  May discrimination.  May companies that look for indians only for a particular position.. or British, etc. etc.  Minsan mahirap talaga makahanap ng position na gusto mo lalo na kung sa UAE ka pa lang maghahanap.  Sometimes it's better to go thru an agency, or kung direct hire ka mula dito palang sa pinas.

thanks you so much for answering my questions. yung husband ko kasi ppunta ng Dubai baka mga nov. or dec. Both his parents kasi dun nagwowork and ang plan is sumunod ako if makahanap na siya ng work dun.  eh medyo nag-aalangan lang ako kung makakahanap ako ng work related sa field ko. Yun nga rin naisip ko na baka kailangan marunong mag-Arabic. Yung company kasi kung saan ako nagwowork ngaun meron silang branch sa Dubai.  I dunno kung may advantage ako if nag-apply ako dun pag nasa Dubai na ako.  Bihira kasi sa amin ang ma-assign sa ibang branch unless mataas na position mo/ senior ka na. ayun.  Any suggestions anong ibang alternative na work kung hindi man sa field ng marketing?

Usually after a month pa nagsisi respond ang mga employers. Madaming instances na kung kelan nakakuha na ng work yung tao, saka lang tatawag yun magagandang companies. Dahil nagipit sa oras, tinanggap na lang yung so-so job.

Hay naku ganyan nangyari sa kin dati nagstart nako tsaka tumawag yung hinihintay ko, maiyak-iyak nga ako kasi gusto ko talaga lumipat kaso di na pwede..
Ako naman di nagipit sa oras, naakit sa salary although yun naman importante pero dapat din kasi aside dun icoconsider mo rin yung magiging career mo at stability ng company na pagtatrabahuhan mo..

tsa, I don't think you'll pay penalty if you are laid off. Company decision naman yun at valid cause. I think pinagbabayad lang is yung mga nag reresign and mga na terminate coz of unacceptable conduct (nagwaldas ng pera ng company, hindi nagtatrabaho).

May mga employees dito sa company namin na na terminate at mas napabuti pa nga sila coz mas malaki nakuha nilang separation pay. May mga tickets pa pauwi.

Don't focus on getting laid off... attract the positive sis. Instead of worrying, try to look for alternative sources of income just in case thing don't go as planned. That's what I'm doing now, mahirap na maipit.

Sis ikaw lang ang makakasagot niyan since ikaw ang nakakaalam kung ano ang kaya at gusto mong gawin.  I hope you won't come to Dubai to work as a "kahit ano."  Marami naman talaga work available, yun nga lang, more on operations... store clerks, waitress, etc.  Meron din receptionist cum secretary cum taga timpa ng kape cum etc etc. and some office clerk jobs, though the pay is below average.

Sa hirap ng buhay sa Dubai... mas maganda siyempre kung enjoy ka at gusto mo ang trabaho mo.  Huwag magtrabaho dahil kailangan mong magtrabaho... ang dapat ay magtrabaho ka dahil gusto mong magtrabaho.

been to GITEX yesterday. parang puro laptops yata nakita ko dun. pero madami talagang tao ha, siguro kasi first day. nakabili yung kasama ko ng sony vaio 10.1-inch notebook for 1975 or 1795 dhs(di ako sure eh) with free external dvd player/writer na.

^Sa Philippine Consulate sa Al Qusais puede kumuha ng SPA.

Requirements:
1. 3 Passport Copies (front and back page)
2. 100dhs fee

*Kailangan mo ren ng 2 witness para mag-sign dun sa SPA

Steps:
1. Once you reach the Philippine Embassy, go straight to the first makeshift office on your left or if the security guard is around, ask him where you can get an S.P.A.
2. With your 3 passport copies in hand, inform the person-in-charge for which specific reason you need the S.P.A. for.
3. The person-in-charge will then hand you a form for you to fill in.
4. Have the witnesses sign the form.
5. Hand it to the person-in-charge who will then give you a paper to be given to the cashier.
6. Proceed to the cashier and pay 100dhs. The cashier will then give you a receipt and inform you when you will be able to claim the S.P.A.
7. To claim your S.P.A., you first need to have the receipt with you. Claiming section is on the right side of the main building where there is a normally long queue.

Additional question lang po.. Kasi yung sister ko ngsend sa akin ng draft ng SPA, sabi niya ipanotarized ko nlang dito then pa-authenticate.
Sa consulate din po ba papanotarized? o dpat sa kanila talaga ako pagawa ng SPA? authenticated na ba yung irerelease nila o another process pa din po yun???

Add ko lang sa SPA, I recently got one.

For claiming the SPA, pwede mo na ipa empost na lang. May isang Pinoy dun from  EMPOST, kapag nasa CASHIER ka na sabihin mo ibigay sayo yung papel dahil ieempost mo na lang. 15 or 20 Dhs ang bayad, nakatambay lang sya dun sa may nag phophotocopy.

Usually to claim it sasabihin ng Consulate after 7 working days. Pero nung pina Empost ko after 3 days tinawagan nako ng EMPOST at idedeliver na at my doorstep. It save time and money wise narin.

^Sis you don't need a draft at meron na sila form dun sa consulate... fill-in-the-blanks nalang.  Complete na yon at naka-notarized na.

^Hindi po pla siya draft, galing na siya sa Attorney sa Pinas, ipapanotarized at authentication nalang. pareho din po ba ang bayad at process???

^^Try mo mag-inquire sa Emirates Bank. They told me there's no need to maintain a minimum balance as long as your salary is 5k and up.

May I know why mahirap ang buhay sa Dubai?  Mahirap financially ba?  I have a friend there now e, he was pirated from a very high paying job in the Philippines, I think triple yung in-offer sa kanya plus they brought his entire family there, I just hope worth it and hindi sila naghihirap ngayon dyan ng family niya.  May crisis din ba dyan?

^^ depende sis nasa tao kung paano nya ihandle yung finances nya tsaka yung way of living. kung lam mo naman na maliit lang sweldo mo tapos namimili ka ng kung ano ano at ang daming credit card at loans maghihirap ka talaga.  kami honestly okay kami dito family ko kasama ko.  dito na din ako nanganak sa 2nd baby ko at kinuha din namin pamangkin ni hubby para magbantay sa mga bata. yung sweldo ko dito ay never kong kikitain sa pinas. madali naming nabibili kahit anong gusto namin minsan luho na pero ineenjoy lang namin pinaghirapan namin. may car loan at personal loan din kami at credit card pero binabayaran namin sya monthly.
