Heard about a new pinoy resto in San Mateo called Mana. Haven't tried it yet but Intramuros & Tribu Grill are really delicioso.

I am going to San Diego in a few weeks (for good), what do I need to buy here in Manila before leaving? I was thinking of buying bottles of PH Care, Cuticle remover (mahal kasi sa U.S) and Elseve Sahmpoo (dahil wala daw dun). TIA

I saw a flyer about Bukas Palad US concert tour in San Ramon on April 3. Im so excited to attend this concert. Perfect for the Lenten Season Sana included yung Tanging Yaman and Anima Christi sa repertoire.

really sis? try ko nga. Been looking for a TJ substitute as well. So far ang malapit lapit na taste ay yung martin purefoods, but it's not quite there yet.  I hate wieners or franks. too oily and salty for me. =)

^ I would imagine that it would be somewhat difficult to get an H1B visa in California right now as the state is in dire straits But you can try anyway.

@sandalwood living in california can be a big deal or not for some...Ayala kasi did a pretty good job integrating structures and the feel of some towns and  hangout spots in Pinas kaya it's not much of a culture shock na.  but in terms of lifestyle it is more of how you operate and how open you are to experience the place where you decide to set foot on and live..(which is) wherever.

We have a condo at the South Beverly Tower on Elm St. corner Pico.  That was the best to-date for me, after SF, due to walking distance to Rodeo Dr., etc.  hehe and the convenient restos and shops on S. Beverly Dr.

Now, Sta. Monica is my favorite place.  It is most convenient coz at our place,  it is just a 10-15min walk to the 3rd St  Promenade.  Everything is just a block or 2 away.   It is, IMO, safer and the people are friendlier.   Of course, it bugs my husband that one cannot just smoke on any sidewalk... hehe   Plus, an orderly beach (everybody off the beach at 8PM!, imagine here our beaches are more fantastic and have no curfews;  plus... no liquor drinking on the  beach there.  ay party pooper haha)

hmmm i live in the west side...parang malayo ata yung pico and elm st...isn't it elm drive?... to santa monica (not Sta.) kasi mga names ng tao or places ang close to the beach and it's mostly numbered the streets...the few tree names i know naman are in Ocean Park or would be along Venice Blvd...beverly hills nga siguro is baka a mile (plus) walk from where you are eh malayo ang BH to SM.

Anyhow  the pier is open halos 24 hours you can hang out by the beach or somewhere close to the pier till 12 or even a little past kasi it still is well-lit..may mga nagsusurf kasi minsan sa gabi kahit wala waves and marami pang street performers minsan. its often the parking that they close early.

yeah super alat ng weiners and i masaya parin the red hotdog eh buti may (martin) purefoods parin available kahit papano...also try yung fishballs nila in the same packaging pero blue ata ang styro sa seafood city its good and not malansa easy lang to make the sauce i'll teach you

^check out monster.com, Craigslist, local newspapers, and it also helps to advertise your services. If you can, join networking events -- get to know people and ask for referrals

^^You can also try agencies for placement yun lang you pay up a certain amount but you can get better leads with them too and once set wiggle out  of the contract.

Curious lang ako about health care field in CA specifically in San Diego, marami bang opportunities as of now? I'm a registered pharmacist and im thinking it through if i'll have to stay in Hawaii with my relatives or take a plunge in mainland though one of my Uncle's from Delano. I would have to review while i work pa to have my license there. thanks in advance mga sis.

^iba ang league ng pharmacist sa states. yun kasi course ng twin sister ko. pag dating niya states, california, hindi gaan na-honor yung BS degree niya.. so nag-aral ulit siya ng pharmacy technician and eventually worked her way up. iba kasi talaga standards nila.

^yung tita ko kasi nagreview then nag state board yet we can always work as pharma tech naman daw, mas ok lang financially yung licensed diyan. thanks for the heads up sis. plan ko talaga either mag aral or mag review for state board, hay career goals in life nga naman while ensuring my future there, i want  everything to be settled on my own though i still have all my relatives and friends to help me out. medyo confusing lang where i'll stay, sa state ba ng family ko or take the risk in mainland though i still have my other uncles in cali din.
