^ I do that. A lot of stuff abt work, income, which city I live in- I never reveal. Magsabi man ako, in general terms. That part I keep private talaga because first, it's no one's business and two, I don't trust people. Paranoid ako eh.
- walang unlimited gravy sa kfc.. so sad..
Yung mga boss kong puti nagagalit kapag tinatawag mo silang SIR or BOSS, gusto nila first name lang nila ang itawag mo. Yung isa kong boss na pinoy nuknukan ! kainis tawagin ko raw syang Boss or Sir. bwiset !
^ ah baka they're not comfortable saying that they're caregivers. 'di din maganda ang connotation ng caregiver minsan eh. baka isipin na under the table. under the table- kadalasan illegal. and if they're illegal, that again isn't something you'd like to talk about.
Advice lang din sa iba pang Pinoys abroad, iwasan nating ijudge ang kapwa natin pinoy, have more faith in them. Open your eyes and your minds, marami pong mas mabuti sa atin kesa masama at stop saying "Yang mga Filipino na yan" as if hindi tayo Filipino. Unawain pero wag kunsintihin, mahalin pero wag pagtakpan! Lastly, pay forward, pag may gumawa ng mabuti sa atin na kapwa Pinoy let's pay it forward. When it circles back mas marami ang blessings na babalik sa atin.
You are comparing two different cultures here. I worked in the US both with Asians and whites. Pag Asians big deal satin ang recognition ng title. And I'm not talking about Pinoy lang ha. Even with Chinese and Japanese. You don't call them by their first name, lest you'll be branded as arrogant or disrespectful. Si husband nga, who works with Japanese, hindi sila basta basta first name lang, may "san" lagi ang name as a sign of respect. Conservative Japanese kase ang company. With Americans naman (I am now working with them), kahit directors or VPs first name basis talaga. It's a culture thing, ayaw nila magpatawag ng sir or ma'am unless rural midwestern. Again, hindi rin lahat ng midwest merong nagpapatawag ng sir/ma'am yung iba ayaw. Cut some slacks for the Aussie Pinoys, wag kang masyadong mayabangan sa kanila. When we are abroad we should look after one another. Have more faith to your kababayans.Advice lang din sa iba pang Pinoys abroad, iwasan nating ijudge ang kapwa natin pinoy, have more faith in them.
