dunno sis, OC kasi ako when it comes to metadata (at least the author, title of the book and series if any) so iniisa-isa ko muna talaga e-books ko bago ko i-load sa kindle. pero from what i've seen, parang hindi na ata pwede edit ang metadata (in calibre) once nasa kindle na yung e-book. not sure about this, pero di ko na ma-edit nun ni-try ko eh.

ah ok. sad kung ganon. ibig sabihin i have to reload the books with edited metadata and reorganize into collections. baka masira na yung 5-way control pad ng kindle.

still not sure about it, maybe some other sisses here have a solution for that? babago pa lang din naman ako nag-e-explore ng kindle sis.

I wonder why you prefer this compare to IPAD? kasi I am torn between buying this or IPAD.

^I bought a Kindle DX first then an iPad2.  It all boils down to what you really want to do.  Do you want a dedicated e book reader or do you really want a tablet that can function as an e book reader and more.

I prefer reading ebooks off my Kindle, longer battery life, easier on my eyes for because of the different E ink screen.

ako sis, hindi masyado mahilig maglaro saka yung ibang features ng ipad. reader talaga ako kaya kindle talaga choice ko. di pa masyado masakit sa mata, walang backlight glare.

I really liked reading books medyo di naman ako mahilig mag games. Also, the screen is better. Di sumasakit eyes ko maski matagal ako magbasa.

ako din mas gusto ko ang kindle kasi hindi sumasakit ang mata ko. Minsan kasi gusto kong magfocus magbasa at kung sa iPad matempt akong magbrowse ng kung [textspeak!]-ano.

How do you put ebooks in kindle. Kapag sa ipad app na kindle kasi parang sa amazon market lang pwede mag upload .... Pag yun kindle mismo ba eh pwede direct na parand drag and drop? Kasi planning to get a kindle as an ebook reader kya ang worry ko nga eh baka amazon lang ako pwede magpurchase ng ebooks eh i have ebooks na sa laptop.

Question girls, should i get a kindle 2? going price of it is around 4k lang (2nd hand) while the kindle 3 is around 3-4k more expensive. if the reading experience is not that huge naman, i'm willing to settle for the kindle2

^sis if i'm not mistaken, may 6k na bnew kindle sa ebay.ph. so kung okay syo, yun na lang. pero if you're budget is really 4k, i guess kindle 2 is alright. i haven't seen one pero pareho din naman silang e-ink. i think mas mabilis lang mag "page-turn" yung kindle 3 and mas manipis at mas malaki ata ang memory. but when it comes to reading experience, i don't think may malaking difference ang performance nila.

^^ parang mahal yung 4k for a second-hand kindle 2 considering a brand-new kindle 3 goes for as low as 6.5k through local resellers.. my two cents.

Question po, pwede ko bang magamit ang Kindle 3 kahit na puro downloaded off the net ang ebooks ko? Almost all of my ebooks kasi as in .[textspeak!] format ko ginawa para mas mabilis mag-load...

Nakakita kasi ako ng store dito sa Makati na nagbebenta ng Kindle, Nook, etc... kasi 12k daw yung Kindle 3 Wifi...

^ pwede sis. drag and drop mo lang files sa documents folder nun kindle. or you could use an e-book management software like calibre. free download naman siya. 

mahal ata yun 12k na kindle 3 wifi sis. around 7k-7.5k lang sa online sellers, as low as 6.5k pag with ads.

oo nga, sis eh... nagulantang ako sa 12k na quote sakin... without ads yun pero kahit na... hayz... tapos nagpaquote ako ng case, 6k daw...

so ngayon research research muna ako habang hinihintay ang bonus ko sa xmas para may pambili na... malay mo bumaba yung presyo online pagdating ng december... hehe...

^ kung gusto mo lang naman sis install. pwede din hindi na. mas maganda nga lang ma-manage yun e-books, especially the metadata. although pag na-transfer mo na naman sa kindle, panibagong gawaan na naman ng collections.

Was looking through your blog and I saw we have the same taste in books! XD Just finished the Hunger Games too and The Mortal Instruments series is on my TBR list (have you read the book prior to that series? maganda rin daw)
