Love my Kindle! I bought it last Christmas, gift sa sarili ko. I think madaming nagrereklamo kasi wala siyang features masyado, pero I like that it's a dedicate ebook reader. Mas hindi ako nadi-distract ng kung [textspeak!]-ano. The e-ink display is beautiful, parang libro talaga, walang strain sa mata. Plus Amazon has a nice "sample" offer. Pwede ka mag-sample ng isang chapter muna ng ebooks nila. Sulit.

^Yup and it's great for reading outdoors in sunlight   I like that there are Kindle apps for almost everything.  I have the  Kindle  app on my 3 Windows PCs, my Mac and my Android phone.

It can play audiobooks from Audible.com, if your audiobook is in mp3 format it should work too.  Incidentally Kindle books also have text speech..pretty cool feature and I sometimes hook it up to my car when I want to listen to a book while driving.

Kindle 3g has a 25 usd rebate now on amazon. I was just going to get the wifi but this rebate is so tempting...

question lang: If I get the 3g version, can I use the free 3g to browse the internet using the kindle's experimental webkit? Free ba?

If I can... I will definitely get the 3g. If not wifi nalang since I can just download my books ahead of time before travel

Question mga sis... I have kindle for mac and may 2 buttons there, yung isa Home yung isa Archive. What is the Archive button for? I see na when I buy ebooks from Amazon it goes there but I don't know why it doesn't go straight to Home.

Anyone with a kindle DX here? would appreciate reviews and usefulness. I have the kindle 3 but thinking that i might need a bigger screen for reading pdfs and charts that is hopefully lighter than an ipad

^I've had my Kindle DX since 2009.  I find it very useful since I've loaded it up with all my work ebooks and presentations(mostly in PDF), some mp3s too .  When I need to convert files I use Calibri however I'm content with viewing it in PDF format. I do not own an iPad so I cannot say which one is heavier/lighter.  If you have specific questions about the DX just post here.

@beachgirl, archive is like an online storage. It's Kindle's storage for your ebook purchases. This way if you don't wanna read it yet, it won't clutter your harddrive.

another question, if you delete books on your kindle is it possible to "retrieve" them without having to pay again on amazon?

^you only pay once, if you delete a book on your Kindle it goes to the Archives.

Another thing I love about my Kindle is that it's all mine Anytime I want to use it, it's there. Kasi yung iPod Touch and Galaxy ko laging gamit ng kids and ni hubby. Hahaha!

i got my kindle just yesterday and i've already downloaded a few of the free ebooks on amazon. winner! i just love the resolution. and now i can bring my books wherever i go!
