Oh no! I should have read some reviews here before we bought our Panasonic Fully Automatic WM.

My mom decided to get Panasonic because our aircons, twin tub wm and wireless phones lasted 12-15 years (aircon and washing machine) without repairs..literally without repairs. Though our aircons were cleaned every 6 months or once a year. Our twin tub wm was never repaired also though lately medyo maingay na siya and 90% eh yung house helper ang may gamit. my mom said nga "virgin" pa si panasonic twin tub wm.

I asked my BF what is the brand of their wm he replied i dont know i never touched our wm (kaloka dba? ok sa sagot!) so i asked him to go and check and it's Whirlpool..he does not know also when it was bought but he said more or less 5 years na daw un. I called my friend who recently bought a Fully Automatic WM and the brand is LG.

Our options were Whirlpool and Panasonic. LG was not on the list coz when it comes to TVs parang i find it not durable and hindi ok [textspeak!] reception or whatever you call it ng LG so sabi namin ng mom ko baka hindi maganda si LG.

We also consider getting twin tub nalang coz ang house helper naman ang gagamit baka pag automatic medyo complicated pa sa kanila. After long deliberation (naks, deliberation talaga) we decided to get the Panasonic 7kg Fully Automatic.

When i got home, i checked reviews of wm and bad...hindi pala ok ang Panasonic  .. i guess sabihan nalang si house helper na ingatan and turuan how to operate and all.

Sana hindi kame bibiguin ni Panasonic sa WM

3years na samin si LG fully automatic wm. Wala pa naman naging problem, ever

^^ the biggest and most common mistake that people do is overloading the washer in order to save
money on water and electricity. this practice can do harm on the machine. so just instruct your maids
not to overload.

Panasonic is one of the good brands.  Yun old one namin, National, was still going strong.  Bumigay lang yun body.  Mas matipid pa nga siya in electricity than the new models!  Had to let it go kasi wala akong space and proper tools to construct a new body for it. 

I do agree with what Sis twelve5 opined.  Don't overload it else it would conk out agad. 

Alam ko matibay rin yun Whirlpool but yun sa mga kakilala ko galing abroad yun kanila kasi and quite old na rin. 

No idea sa LG but mas durable yun de-pihit than one na electronic na lahat.

^^ oo nga sis, medyo maalaga din kame sa mga appliances kaya siguro nag last si Panasonic Twin Tub namin, sobrang tagal na niya talaga and hindi kame binigo. Kaya when someone asks my mom about Washing Machine she really recommends Panasonic kasi nga subok na niya as well as sa aircon, though now ang gamit namin National and Carrier.

Kasi di ba the older the Aircon the more it consumes electricity, kaya kahit hindi pa sira painalitan na namin kasi mataas bill namin sa kuryente.

guys which do you think is better between semi-automatic and fully automatic washing machine in terms of costs (electricity and water), convenience, etc? 

i read kasi fully automatic is magastos sa tubig kasi every batch ng labahan tapon agad ng tubig after ng sabon at every after banlaw... eh di naman pwede pagsabayin ang puti sa de color bi ba?  i dont know naman how semi automatic washing machine works kasi...

Fully Automatic ang gamit namin, nag hirap pa kasing balik balikan ang labada eh, for convinience na din .

Everything has a cost - most expensive is time, you can't buy more nor can you buy it back. 
Best get an automatic or else, yes you or your helper is freed of the labor but you will be tied still to the laundry chore coz you gotta watch it.

fully automatic yung sa amin.

lagay ang damit, titimbangin siya agad ng WM.
may indicator na lalabas kung gaano katagal, gaano kadaming detergent (nasayo kung gusto mo dagdagan o bawasan) ang kailangan.
maglalagay na ng tubig at magkukusot, tapon. magbabanlaw,tapon. tapos maglalagay ulit ng tubig, tutunog siya, lalagyan ng fabric softener (if you want), tapos tapon nanaman.
spin dry na ang last. tutunog siya ulit pag tapos na. sampay mo nalang. :-)

sis j27-- anong washing machine mo? so babantayan pa rin yung machine kasi pagtapon ng water kelangan iopen ulit faucet para magpuno ulit ng water for next banlaw? sorry ignorante hehe

^Sis, may I answer, open na yung faucet, washing machine na bahala, tutunog nalang yun pag tapos na yung labada.

^ sis, yung washer kasi has different water levels depending on your load. Kung konti lang load mo, then lower din ang water level. In terms of water consumption, pwede kang makatipid. But in terms of power consumption, same lang whether full load ka or half load.

Advice ko is to get the fully automatic. Dump your laundry, add detergent and let the washer do its thing... While its running you can do whatever you need to do - other chores/sleep/watch tv etc...  Then pag tapos na sya, hang to dry or transfer to dryer if you have one.

Btw there's an existing thread about washing machine in this forum.  Try to search for it. Baka may makita kang helpful post pertaining to your query.

^mompj, it's from LG. Fuzzy Logic 15kg. nabili namin dito sa UAE for DH2400 (xP11.75 siguro ang rate that time). pero yung mil ko nakabili din ng ganyan sa pinas, not sure kung magkano niya nakuha.

automatic na siya, hindi na kailangan bantayan. balikan mo nalang para isampay. :-) meron din siya soaking option. like for example, idedelay niya for an hour para mababad/magkula muna, lalo na sa mga whites. then after the time alloted, magstart na siya magwash mag isa. pwedeng pwede mo iwan, kasi after washing/rinsing/spin dry, kusa na siya mag turn off.

we have the fully automatic (dry ang damit paglabas) which we could use when the labandera
on day off..we experienced this in the States where it is so convenient to use-electrolux brand... We also have the
regular WM which the helper uses for heavy clothes, maongs and bed sheets

pina-service ko yung LG washing machine namin, kasi masyado sya maingay pag ginagamit. mali lang pala pagka-install at sabi sa akin nung nag-service, pwede naman pala mag-request na ipa-install sa pinakamalapit na service center. sa sm namin binili yung wm, kung pano sya dineliver, di na namin ginalaw! naker! ngayon, okay na sya. recommended ko pa din ang LG at Samsung.

^@sis bratty: anong Model nung LG na nabili mo? We planned to buy din kasi yung 8 or 9kgs ng LG. Ganun pala yun, need pa ipa-install. free ba installation?

to all sisses: ano po ba ideal na capacity ng WM ang dapat bilhin, let say 3-4 (with 1 kid) lang in a family? Kasi baka naman pag masyado malaking capacity tapos konti lang laundry, baka magastos. di ko kasi alam baka may certain computation or ratio sa pagpili ng tamang capacity.

^ weigh your laundry.  Guide ata is 5 mens l/s sleeves = 1 kilo. 

Weigh mo sa bathroom scale how much usual laundry mo lets say in a week kung weekly ang washing nyo. How much whites, how much colors, how much jeans. Syempre di mo naman pag sasamahin lahat yan sa isang load kasi you need to sort diba...  Consider mo rin size ng other items mo. Like your comforters and bedsheets kung iwa-washer mo sa house and not sa professional cleaners.

Although personally, the bigger, the better.
