washing machine

hello girls (and boys)!

please help me purchase a fully automatic washing machine... i've been to several stores and so far nagustuhan ko yung single tub, top loading ng LG fuzzy logic.   (picture is not the exact model, but looks similar to that.)

i have no experience with this brand (LG) and i was hoping to get some feedback here.


what brand do you use and are you happy with it?

any input is appreciated.  thanks!

We also have LG. 3years na samin, and so far we are happy with it. Nasa labas lang siya ng house namin, ke-mabilad, o maulanan, wala pa ring sira. hehe.

^ im assuming yours is the bakal type, not yung plastic... ito kasing gusto ko plastic material lang ata... i forgot kung stainless steel yung tub mismo. sa dami ng tinignan ko. hehe

From what i know (other feedbacks) okay din ang Whirlpool...but syempre mas expensive siya...

I think LG is a bang for your buck...It is actually a life saver for us, kasi wala kami helper...Yung LG namin is the type na ilalagay mo lang yung soiled garments, soap, continuous water, then isasampay mo na lang hehe...So yung mga hindi naman masyadong maduming damit, hinahayaan ko na lang, d ko na kinukusot. Saves time kasi i can do other chores.

i think mas kaya ng plastic i-endure ang mabilad sa araw at mabasa... hindi magrurust... i think LG is a good brand..

angeleigh, wala din akong maid ngayon eh. but its not much of a problem kasi medyo nasanay na rin after living abroad for quite some time. natuto na akong mag sariling sikap. 

koi1028, you have a point. although naisip ko kasi baka maging brittle yung plastic pag under sunlight or heat.

im being careful kasi this time. i got burned before, i bought a kelvinator ref, within a year nasira agad.  and since most of the time im out of the country di ko na napagawa during the time na under warranty pa sya.

yung mga heavy-duty washer and dryer sana (like the ones in the US) would be better. kaya nga lang since im not here most of the time, im thinking that the cheaper brand would be ok na. but of course i want to get my money's worth.

im hoping for more feedback from other gtalkers sana so i can finally make a purchase, be it an LG or another brand.

i use samsung fully automatic. But i do not use that feature of being automatic. isang sabon lang sa washing machine IF i need to use the washing machine and i do it by hands.

i wanna have a maytag. i read raves about it. i wanna know how much ang rough estimate ng maytag and if it delivers results.

mukhang LG is good naman. basta when you buy a washing machine, ask the SA how much is the RPM of the oscillator. Yun ba yung tawag sa umiikot sa loob ng washing machine? mas mabilis masa maganda since walang nagkukusot sa damit inside the washing machine, yung rotation ng tubig na pumapasok sa hibla nang damit ang dapat na powerful para maalis ang mantsa, ang dumi at ang amoy.

yung binili kong samsung doesn't have the highest RPM in the market when i bought it pero, ito yung may pinaka mataas na RPM sa line ng washing machines na nasa market that will fit my budget =)

^ may agitator ba yung samsung mo? the LG im looking at kasi walang ganun. i think the newer models dont have it anymore... yung may agitator ba yung may RPM thingy?

maytag is a good brand.  its well-known in the US. matagal na ata yan... pero sayang naman ata if you;ll not use its full features like your samsung.

(just a side note, my washer and dryer in the US are both GE. they're about 8 yrs old. im happy with them, no problem whatsoever. they use gas kaya matipid.)

^^tama ka sis sa RPM... kasi yung aming auto ww, japan made yun, ang hina ng ikot.. minsan even yung soap powder na nga hindi pa natatanggal sa damit.. hehe... sa japan surplus nabili.. dapat sa hard wash ang set niya...

^^sis, nope, my samsung ww doesn't have agitator. And i believe, this agitator is not good for clothes

i bought a samsung washing machine a few months ago and maganda naman sya, pang heavy duty. dapat LG yung bibilhin ko kaya lang yung nakita ko, nakuha na pala.

samsung has 5 yr warranty on motor... lg 1 yr... sabi nila mas pangalan na daw lg kesa samsung... haaay, decisions, decisions...

^^nasa 32k+ bili ko sa samsung sis, plus delivery charge kasi hindi kasya sa sasakyan. yung LG na nakita ko na 12kg nasa 34k.
