Kyowa nga yung nakita ko sa sm southmall. may iba iba namang size e. balak ko sana bili lang muna ng mas maliit, try ko lang magbake ng cuppies at magroast ng chicken.. hopefully maging okay para maenganyo ako. if not, pwede din gamitin yung convection oven for making polymer clay accesories.

I'm thorn between purchasing electric oven and gas range oven.

Electric oven is far more affordable that gas range but in the long run, babawian ako ng electric bills. At the same time, I got a little scared with Maika's oven settings. parang I can't follow those while baking.. nasanay kasi ako na iiwan ko lang and when i hear my timer go off, chaka ko lang sya check ulit.. *sigh* im so desperate to bake na ulit... missing it sooo badly!!!  :'( :'(

hello po sa lahat

salamat sa mga posts nyo and na e-encourage ako sa pagbili ng imarflex mini electric oven, nagwwindow shop ako now  ;D

no experience ako at all sa pag bake but want ko matuto after sa pag subaybay sa reality-tv show na DC cupcakes sa starworld tee hee!  ;D

i'm currently listing down things na i-bbuy ko together with the electric oven, mittens included!  ;D
binasa ko yung buong thread, from page 1 til 9, and i'm relieved to say na iiwan pala sa loob yung oven thermometer/temp gauge sa loob and hindi sasabog XD
na jot down ko na rin po yung mga tips mo about baking, lalo na yung regarding sa fan and rods
hopefully makakabili na ako by sunday or monday

bago lang ako sa forums, will explore more by tomorrow night lalo na sa mga simple cupcake recipes. torn kasi ako right now with studying and learning more about my upcoming hobby  :D

yey! thanks for this thread now alam ko na kung ano ang bibilhin ko.

ay d pa pala. kasi my officemate recommended din turbo broiler. kasi ang main purpose ko of getting this thing is for baking. now my questions are:

1. alin ang mas madaling gamitin sa baking? yung convection oven or yung turbo broiler? ang alam ko yung turbo broiler also uses convection principle.

2. alin ang mas malaki? the oven or broiler?

3. both can also roast chicken or rotisserie?

4. mas matipid sa kuryente? how much usually ang bill pag sa oven and broiler?

^ Sis diba ang turbo, bilog? Mahirap magpasok ng pans na squared or worse, hindi papasok at all. :D

And yes, both can roast chickens, pork or beef. ;)

Kuryente wise, hay, talagang hindi ko masabi. Kasi paiba iba ang bill namin. Naghahanap nga ako ng kilowatt converter eh.  :-\

^ yes sis, bilog siya pero meron kasi daw mga malalaki na broiler so kahit papano napapasok daw yung for  mini cupcakes na tray. i think i will have to check it myself siguro. yikes!!! magkano inaabot ng kuryente mo sis? lagi ka bang nagbebake?

eto pala nahanap kong article about the oven:

^i started baking using turbo broiler. then i got a la germania table top.

eto pro's and con's of using Turbo Broiler based on my experience:

pros:
1. may auto shut off so u don't have to worry kung iwan mo man sya dun. iseset mo lang kasi yun temp and yun time. dun kasi sa la germania ko, may timer nga pero hindi sya auto shut off, manual pa rin yun pag power off. pag nakalimutan mo, sunog.

cons:
1. maliit yun space so multiple batches pag marami ka gusto gawin, paminsan yun isang recipe ko, nagiging 2-3 batches ang pagsalang kasi nga di kaya isabay sabay lahat. mabagal yun ganitong diskarte and magastos sa kuryente kasi matagal naka-on yun turbo.

2. di masyado nakakaabot yun init sa ilalim. kasi nasa taas lang yun init e. kelangan tuloy ipagpalit ko ng place yun nasa baba at nasa taas after some time. unlike yun sa la germania na taas at baba yun init. mas mabilis nakakaluto.

hth :)

ano po use nyo to grease the muffin tin before placing the paper/cupcake liner? or di na po ba yun need?

but bukas pa ako magbbuy ng muffin tin kc walang regular-sized na muffin tin with 6 cups nakabenta, yung meron lang ay 6-cups muffin tin but texas size -- ang laki!

and follow up question po, san po ba ilalagay ang tin? sa yung parang grill or yung parang black pan?

sorry po ulit sa noob questions  :(

^ Sis no need to grease the tin. ;) The paper won't stick naman. If you think aapaw yung batter mo while baking, you just grease the top flat surface kasi didikit yung batter dun.

And, you put the pans on the rack/grill. ;) HTH!
