I'm using Imarflex convectional oven / rotisserie
link(http://www.filgifts.com/images/product/small/IT-180CS.jpg) for baking all my cookies and cakes.
I bought it in Trinoma for 3,500.00

Pag nakipagdecide na kayong bumili ng oven for baking it's a must to buy also an oven thermometer para sure kayo sa temp ng oven nyo.

true din na ilessen ang cooking time, para hindi magdry yung cake... moist cakes are the best ;)

^I'm thinking of buying an imarflex convevtional oven din kaso lang medyo expensive siya for me. I'll take note of your tip na to buy an oven thermometer. :) Thanks for sharing sis.

mga sis, i'm planning to buy convection oven as well kaya lang imarflex at pico lang brand na nakikita ko sa appliance store. what's the difference ba ng convection oven sa mga electric oven? kasi may mga displays nakalagay electric oven (as in yun lang kaya don't know if it also means convection oven), yung iba convection oven with blah blah, microwave oven (which i'm already familiar with) hay, so ignorant kasi ako sa ganun... hehe...

help naman, TIA

Last week somebody posted she bought an imarflex convection oven and asks about the settings? I replied na eh.. But since nagloko na naman ang GT, nawala yung reply ko at yung query ng isang sis naten. Ikaw ba yun sis Ellyn0803?

Anyway, with regards to the setting of you convection oven, what I do is keep BOTH heating rods on if I'm roasting a chicken. Fan is ON too. Para maluto lahat ng sides.

For a quick toast, I put the grills on the topmost level then upper heating rod lang ang bukas.

Pag cakes, BOTH heating rod and fan ON pero pag malapit ng maluto, LOWER rod na lang kasi masusunog yung ibabaw ng cake. Tantsahin mo din kasi baka yung bottom part naman ng cake mo ang masunog. ;)

What I do too, when I check the food, off ko muna yung fan para hindi ma blow out yung hot air inside the oven. BUT! The manual said, turn the whole thing off. Pasaway lang ako kaya fan lang ang ini-off ko. Hehe

Sis, since automatic na yang oven mo, (unlike the convetional type na continuous ang apoy sa ilalim) the heating rods shuts off automatically should it reach the core temperature you specified in the temperature gauge. Then mag on na lang sya ulit afterwards. Sa conventional oven, sometimes, we open the oven door a bit to let hor air escape di ba? Jan sa nabili mo, no need na. :D SO less hassle.

Downside lang, maliit lang yung oven space. Uhmm for hobby purposes, pwede na. Kung maramihan, matagal ang proseso mo jan. Hehhe

Buy yourself a good oven thermometer. That woud help you too since hindi din ganun ka accurate yung init sa loob. You might end up with hilaw or overcooked foods. :) Nakita ko sa chocolate lovers, may 200+ yung binebenta nila.

thanks for your post sis maika14. haven't bought an oven pa po. i'm torn between imarflex and 3D.

Both of them has convection feature. imarflex (18liters) is just around 2.4k while 3D (17liters) is only 1.7k. we'll get one today... xmas gift ni hubby

^ Wow.. Merry christmas to you. :D I'm using imarflex. I can say na ok naman sya. I'd rather use it talaga kesa sa dati kong conventional oven. Saves me gas and I really dont need a big oven space. Hobby lang talaga ang baking sakin. So a small convection oven works really well for me. Anyway, should I need to bake a lot, I can always shift to conventional oven. Hehe

But anyways, give us a feedback when you roadtest your new oven na ha? Para maicompare din ng ibang sisses.. :)

Kung hindi ikaw yung nag post last week, sino yun? Hhehe.. Nagloko na naman kasi ang GT eh.. Hindi ko na din maremember yung sis naten na nakabili na. :D

^ Ikaw pala yun sis! :D Our christmas noche buena was great too. I baked 100 pcs of muffins for give aways and my mini oven can only accomodate 15 pcs in one go. Goodluck naman for me. Haha! But it was fun too. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali din. I roasted the ham in there as well. Grabe, gamit na gamit yun.  :D

Natatawa nga si hubby coz I grilled pork belly in an electric griller naman. Condo living daw ang style ko while in fact we live in a very traditional home. Haha! Eh mabilis talaga ang prep time sa ganyang appliances. Saves us precious time. ;)

i've always loved baking since i was little. kaya lang sa condo living may mga condos na pinagbabawalan ang gas stoves and ovens. i never knew na pwede pala pang bake ang mga small ovens tulad ng pinost ni sis prettysummer. will definitely keep an eye open for one of these so i can go back to my hobby. naeexcite ako. i can't wait to bake cupcakes!!! lol.
