I want to give this sport a try too. I've been eyeing the newly opened Elorde along Marcos highway near Sta. Lucia Mall since this is the nearest from my place. Meron pa naman silang free intro class pero may schedule and time. Try to check their FB page. I want to avail this first before enrolling. Pero medyo nahihiya pa ako mag drop by. Ako lang kasi magisa wala akong mayaya. Konting push pa!  ;) Nakakainspire si Ellen Adarna

Question pala. Di ba parang may massage or stretching ba yun after session? Male yung gumagawa nun? Hindi naman awkward? Thank you.  :)

Meron pa palang other thread re boxing:

Wow may thread pala for boxing. I avail cashcash pinoy deal for Elorde tandang sora. So far so good. nag eenjoy naman ako supportive ang mga trainer. .they will keep you motivated specially pag if they feel you want to quit sa sobrang pagod. Pero if you want to take a rest pwede din naman. .the best part is the massage after ng work out for free

I decided to try boxing because I feel so unhealthy and thought this whole body workout would help me get fit.

Anyway, I just had my first day and the following day, oh boy, my whole body was sore! I can't laugh because my ribcage hurts and I can't walk. But it was the good kind of pain. My only problem though is the abs exercises... I can't do situps for my life! To those who have been boxing for a long time, did you have any problems doing situps at first? Do you have any techniques? Coz I really feel embarrassed not being able to do sit-ups  :(

Hi sis. Do you have a sedentary lifestyle before? I think it's normal that you have a hard time doing sit ups if you're not that physically active prior sa pagboxing.

You can ask your trainer din naman if you're doing it correctly. baka kasi yung neck mo yung nappwersa while you're doing it. basta kelangan, sa upper and lower abs ang pain  ;D

@gorgeouschef Thanks for the tip sis! :) Yes, super sedentary talaga. I sit whole day in the office and I sit whole day at home.

done with my first session with elorde boxing last night. grabe [textspeak!] experience, nkaka-overwhelm. super pawis ka talaga, pero enjoy sya. you will push yourself kasi nakikita mo na everyone in the gym is motivated. sakit ng katawan ko ngayon, pero sabi nga nila no pain no gain. i will comeback later ulit. plan to do it atleast 3x a week.

I took up boxing for like 4 years before and then had to stop due to work schedules. I would love to go back now. Is there a place at the fort or near fort that offers boxing? I've heard of the army place, but I have no idea where it is exactly. Thanks in advance for the help. :)
