based on my experience, naramdaman ko lang yung pain nung nawala na yung anaesthesia after kong mailipat sa room ko from the recovery room. actually it's not that painful pero i was uncomfortable eh gusto ko ng matulog kaya i asked them to give me a pain reliever. i was told na may slight pain reliever na yung IV ko kaya ang ginawa ko, natulog na lang ako. tinulugan ko na lang yung pain.

sa mga sis na i-CS, wag masyadong matakot sa mga nababasa nyong sharing namin dito. on the day of your operation and even while on the operating table, mag-relax lang kayo. mahirap na baka tumaas ang bp ninyo, mas lalong mahirap kapag ganun ang mangyayari. relax and pray to God that everything will turn ok. on my second CS, ako nga lang mag-isa sa hospital. pinasunod ko lang yung yaya ng anak ko sa hospital para dalhin yung mga gamit namin ni baby at para may magbantay sa bag ko. check up ko pa kasi kaya unexpected yung panganganak ko on my 36th week. my husband wasn't around din dahil nasa ibang bansa sya. ang sabi nga nila sa akin and my in-laws, matapang daw ako... ang lakas daw ng loob ko dahil kung sila daw ang nasa kalagayan ko eh iiyak na sila. sabi ko naman nasanay na kasi akong mag-isa lang kapag check up ko at kahit noong 2x akong dinugo eh ako lang talaga ang pumupunta sa ER para magpa-admit unlike dun sa ibang mga buntis na dinugo na isang batalyon ang kasama. sa umpisa may konting kaba pero nasabi ko, i have to be brave for my baby. wala naman kasing maidudulot na maganda kung pati ako eh mag-aalala.  and for the first two weeks ramdam kong na-CS talaga ako but after that parang wala na. 6th months post-op na ako ngayon and every time na nakikita ko ang baby ko parang wala lang yung mga pinagdaanan ko paghihirap during my pregnancy, on the day of operation and the days after.

hi sis! couldn't help but reply to your post. yes, you are brave!!! i admire you for that. thanks din for the comforting words. ngayon lang ako nagbasa ng CS thread. 33 wks na ako by tomorrow and nagaabang na lang kung kelan manganganak. i'm having twins eh tapos breech pa yung isa as per my ultrasound nung 30th wk ko kaya most probably CS ako. bed rest na ako ngaun kasi i had preterm labor 3 weeks ako. so eto, i'm trying to read up on giving birth and baby stuff.

medyo natatakot na rin kasi ako sa delivery. nung nagpreterm ako, i was so scared na but mostly because i was scared for my twins. baka hindi pa nila kayanin if they will come out na. kaso naalala ko yung catether, yung mga injections and gamot, sedation, IE, chills, contractions...parang pinanghinaan na naman ako ng loob. pero sabagay pag andun ka na, you have no choice but kayanin for your babies.

bilib din ako sa yo kasi wala hubby mo. my hubby also travels though hindi abroad so he can get on the next flight to manila if ever may emergency. pero nakakadagdag sa stress at takot na wala yung husband mo sa tabi mo. very comforting na kasi sa akin kapag holding hands kami ni hubby pag may masakit sa akin eh.

grabe pala talaga hirap maging mommy!

i wouldn't recommend CS as parang an elective... but if it's come to a CS delivery for you, do know that it's not THAT scary or limiting naman din...

I even called mine 'fantastic CS experience'  kasi my wound naman never bothered me enough to actually incapacitate me... the day I was able to get up, I never stopped getting up and walking naman din...

of course, major surgery sya, you have to give yourself time to heal properly... but that healing can be kasabay na rin ng recovery mo from the pregnancy and delivery :)

^ I remember my cs experience. It's not that bad at all. I just rushed myself to recover fast. Now I regret it coz di ko na enjoy [textspeak!] recovery days ko and Im back to work tapos na burn out na ako. Hay..

^ 2mos only. The binder scratched up my tummy and its hot. Try wearing a girdle. Its actually better than the binder coz there's more support on the tummy. It also shapes your waist. Even if it's hard to put on it's worth it naman. :)

I use it din at work. Im using Sogo girdle pang everyday at work.  I will try triumph soon. Im using yung high cut girdle para ma shape [textspeak!] waist ko hehhe. try mo [textspeak!] high cut it won't give you sugat on your sides.

yes... common yung may twinges pa ng pain... sometimes, true nga din na when a baby cries, when it's cold, when it's about to rain, may twinges of pain

plus, you're also likely to suffer from phantom pains... kasi nga surgery sya so your body will register pain kahit na there's nothing wrong... parang its way of coping with the trauma of surgery...

of course,  make sure you're cleaning your wound properly and applying the ointment to it and wearing your binder

ako nga before... i'd have really recurring dreams wherein i'd go back again to that moment when my son will be yanked out of my tummy... disturbing kasi parang falling dream na paulit ulit

i guess talagang nasa stage pa ng kirot yung tahi ko kasi 2 weeks pa lang since nanganak ako. pag mainit din, tinatanggal ko saglit yung binder ko tapos kinakabit ko ulit kapag gabi na.

^sis you have to wear it all the time except when you take a bath. My ob told me after 1 month you can remove the binder when you sleep. As for me, I wore it day and night. :)

correct! isipin mo na lang na mas liliit agad ang tummy mo if you wear your binder religiously.

yan lang ang mantra ko noon.  i even wore the binder used for work out para mas manipis, kahit mainit go lang!

i gave birth summer, april. kainitan ng panahon
