Hi everyone! I had an emergency cs last thursday. Bikini cut siya tapos naka binder ako now. Super tight ba talaga siya? Im having a hard time taking a bath. Later kase I can wet na the tahi pero feel ko pag walang binder sobrang sakit kase walang support but I really wanna take a bath properly. Do you guys have any tips for the cs recovery? I have been goin up and down the stairs but there are times na may kirot parin sa puson. Im having a hard time carrying my baby kase malikot siya.

for those that are breastfeeding, after how many hours recovery were you able to get up and go breastfeed?

sis dapat dahan dahan ka lang up and down sa stairs ah? kaya baka kumikirot.

@ vannyvanvan, sis naka cover ba ng tegaderm (not sure for the right term) yung tahi mo? kasi, naka ganito yung tahi ko para kahit mag basa o maligo hindi nababasa yung tahi. though, hindi naman kasi ako naligo ng 1 month  pero nilagay ko na rin for protection. and binder 24hrs for 2months sakin. hinay hinay lang sis sa hagdanan. pag carry kay baby, no problem naman kasi si baby ko kahit almost 8pounder day 2 binuhat ko na sya.

@domestic diva, sis if you can room-in your baby the better para hindi ka masyado mahirapan tumayo kaagad and ma breastfeed mo si baby ng mas maaga.

CS & breastfeeding. was able to nurse my baby at the recovery room and roomed-in right after (less than 12hours upon giving birth). naka tayo din ako kaagad, kasi pinilit ko talaga kumilos para ma alagaan ko si baby. and since binalik sya sa nursery, naging exercise ko yung pag tayo from bed to nursery to feed my baby. una naka wheelchair ako, then sunod nag lalakad na ako. impt yung merong marunong mag tayo sayo at mag assist para tama yung pressure na gagamitin sa body sa pag tayo. yung mom ko kasi, nag caregiver sa mga oldies for a while, so laking tulong...

at least i have a clearer picture of what to expect.  did you inform the nurse on duty to take out the catheter so you could get up? or do  i have to inform my ob in advance for those orders?

mga sis what do u use to lessen the scar? which is better contractubex or dermatrix?

Sagutin ko ha... Yung catheter nire-remove sya pag may order na ng doctor and usually it's 12-24 hours after the operation.

You don't have to worry though. Ang alam ko kasi, based sa experienced ko, habang naka-catheter pa, yung mga nurse ang magpoposition kay baby para ma-breastfeed without hassle. Sila na din ang bahala kay baby until the time na pwede na kumilos.

pasali na rin mga sis. baka ma cs din ako kasi placenta previa ako, pero me and my doctor are still hoping na maging normal. 6 months na ako next week. mahirap ba ma cs?

sorry sis late reply. pero tama sis mdy, upon doctor's order yun. in my case, i asked her to give the order as early as possible to remove it  if you're going to room-in your baby, wala namang problem with it. side lying lang ok na. pa help ka lang kung sino kasama mo. in my case nun, plan namin kuha nurse for a while, but since my mom helped me, pinag tulungan na lang namin.

also, if you're not going to room-in, wala din ako nakitang problem. kasi ng nasa breastfeeding station ako (3rd day), madami na nanganak na mommies, and 1st time nila to visit their babies, naka wheelchair sila, assisted by a midwife how to position and nurse your baby, naka catheter pa din naman sila nun....

^yes, i'll request that on my last prenatal checkup this week (!!!!)... my gosh, by next week, naka-confine na ako sa hospital! lol

i'm more scared of breastfeeding that going thru repeat c/s

^ why naman scared sis? ako naman, inis ako sa sarili ko. kasi nak set mind ko for normal delivery. so medyo disappointed ako and nahirapan talaga ako to get up and walk. buti breastfeeding experience ko with my baby, smooth na smooth talaga... nag engorged pa ako sa dami ng milk ko na...

^i failed to breastfeed with my other two kids, sis kaya mas takot ako sa breastfeeding.  my breasts and armpits were so rock solid from engorgement.  that's why i'm thinking of rooming in the baby so i can just have her latch on more frequently than if she were in the nursery.

had nst done today. went over possible complications with ob.  am hoping my uterus contracts or else a hysterectomy is possible.  by next week, at this time, i'll be recovering na from c/s!

Good luck sis! kaya mo yan meron naman tayo breastfeeding support group if you need help. or consider getting LC

^thanks sis! if all else fails, i am open to getting an LC.  in fact, ang kasama ko sa hospital is my yaya who has never given her kiddo a bottle!.. purely breastfed ang mga anak niya

@mom of inchikoy na cover ko [textspeak!] tahi for 2 weeks. 1 week di ko binasa after nun binasa ko. Takot ako mag bath nun kase walang binder and medyo makirot nung time na un. Now naman there are times na makirot after carrying baby. Sanay na ako sa binder mas gusto ko nga na may binder na lagi. Laki pala ng sugat sa loob pag bikini cut.

@coco chanel Im using dermatix for 2 weeks na. It works naman coz parang pencil nalang [textspeak!] scar and its starting to lighten na rin.

Nangitim ba [textspeak!] stomach nyo after cs? like there's this dark line. Bikini cut kase ako pero may dark line below the navel.

Currently am confined at TMC!  Big day tomorrow!  Praying for a smooth and speedy recovery!... I requested that baby be brought to me in the RR so we can practice latching and give bf a go:)

hey how much yung dermatix? 4months na baby ko and start pa lang maging itchy sugat ko & i think nagkekeloid! yikes, wag naman sana. maumbok eh.

@sweetsmyl dermatix is aroudn 750. Its effective sis coz ma keloid [textspeak!] ako but di naman siya nag keloid parang pencil line lang siya. Pag itchy its starting to heal na but why now lang [textspeak!] sayo? Bikini cut ka ba or traditional cut?
Ask ko mga cs mommies, sumasakit ba sugat niyo sa loob pag malamig ang weather? last night di ako maka tulog dahil sumakit sa loob. Sabi sa akin baka pumasok [textspeak!] lamig sa loob. Is that true?

Fluocinolone (Synalar) ang prinescribe sakin ng OB ko para daw di mag keloid yung tahi ko. Bikini cut ako. Got it @ Watsons for less than 500.
