ngayon medyo nag iimitate na sya ng sounds. ang unang nasabi nya e nganga!!! perfect yung pagkakasabi nya noon. tapos yung mama nya is "baba".
focus lang at tyaga and prayers magsasalita din sila hopefully.siguro its time na dalhin sya sa dev pedia. there's nothing wrong nman at least well guided ka. so far, happy naman ako sa developments ng ot nya.  in 3 months he was recommended na for speech therapy so yun ang next step na nya.

My daughter din who was recommended for speech therapy when she was only 1.7months old by one dev-ped, na hindi ko naman sinunod, meaning no speect therapy or OT whatsoever, ngayon kami na ang nakikiusap na please tigil naman ng saglit sa pagsasalita. Kahit saan kami mapunta, ang daldal, puro tanong. Minsan sa grocery hindi na kami makapag-concentrate sa pamimili kasi wala na syang tigil sa kakatanong, kakasalita. Minsan nagrerequest na kami ng peace and quiet moment, hehe. Pag medyo nga natahimik sya, napapatanong ako kung ok lang sya, baka merong masakit o not feeling okay kasi nakakapanibago yun haha.

At what age na sis nakapag start magsalita daughter mo?

sis my son will turn 3 na this April pero hndi consistent mga sinasabi like I saw him one time na nahulog sa upuan nakita ko rin na butt nya lang tumama. I test him kung tama ang ikukukwento nya kase nga Im planning to send him sa nursery.. I asked him "do you hit your head?" sabi nya "Yes I hit my head and he said im wawa"

When should babies begin talking? My daughter is 12 months old but really only babbles - at most she can say ha(hi), ba (bye), ma, papa, yaya and gigi (our HH's name). But that happens rarely, she mostly babbles...or screams.

At what age na sis nakapag start magsalita daughter mo?

Sis, i remember nagsasalita din naman sya nun pero kaunti pa lang nga given her age. But she improved a lot when I enrolled her in playscool. Kulang lang siguro sa interaction. Kasi sa bahay wala naman syang masyadong kausap. 1.9months sya sa playschool.

Expressive vocabulary:

hi..!ako rin [textspeak!] panganay ko naalarm na ako sa speech development niya..kasi di pa rin namin siya makausap ng as in conversation talaga eh she'll be turning 3 sa may..gusto ko na siyang ipacheck up sa dev'l pedia pero pag tinatanong ko naman yun pedia namin ang sabi tama lang yun speech dev'l sa age niya..ewan ko ba..basta pag nag 3 yrs old na siya ipapacheck up ko na siya sa dev'l pedia plus ieenroll ko na siya sa government day care center kasi tight pa budget namin eh..

dito ako nag-woworry eh. kasi magkaiba kami ng language ng asawa ko. kapag kinakausap ko si baby, tagalog. kapag kinakausap siya ni daddy, english. tapos titira kami sa japan in october so dun mag-scschool si baby. sabi ko sa asawa ko, hindi kaya matagal matuto magsalita ang anak natin dahil lalaki siya sa 3 completely different languages?

Hello! Recent na nangyari sa son ko, he can parrot the sounds of the aphabet and animal sounds that he knows. He's babbling more often like when he is holding his book he looks like telling a story. Hindi naman ako naalarm sa kanya kasi yung comprehension niya ang bilis parang sponge yung memory niya. At his age he already knows shapes and alphabet, since he can't talk that much he just babble and point his answer if you ask what shape or letter you're asking. This summer I'm planning to enroll him parang crash course for nursery parang saling pusa lang para mas ma-develop yung speech niya and interaction with other kids saka yung separation anxiety mabawasan.

^i suggest to avoid too much tv exposure. this also adds up to speech problems according to our dev ped. limit to 30mins to 1hr per day.

^Yeah, my pedia lso said, too much tv tends to put our children in autopilot mode where in they dont see the need to speak.

Yung daughter ko 2 years and 2 months old,di ko masabi kung delayed talker siya.madami siyang alam na words,nursery rhymes nakanta rin siya kahit pa “bulol” ,animal sounds alam rin niya sa ngayon Dora ang fav.niya gayahin,madalas nagsasalita siya,di ganun malinaw pero alam kong ginagaya niya sinasabi sa Dora.di ko lang alam bakit hindi siya nag tagalog,lagi naman kami tagalog mag usap ni hubby.kwento kasi ni hubby yun raw anak ng officemate niya,mas bata lang ng 2 months sa anak namin,marunong na daw mag Oo at Hindi,lagi ko naman kinakausap daugh ko pero di ko pa siya narinig na nagsalita na isang buong sentence tapos taalog.parang puro sinasabi ni Dora ang sinasabi niya.pero pag naman papalit ng diaper sasabhin niya “yucks,eeeww” ..pag kinakausap hindi kasi siya sumasagot,naka tawa lang,tapos ayun lagi nag e-english sinasabi lahat ng naririnig saDora.

sis fairywinkle79122, ganyan din yung daughter ko when she was that age. parang 'bulol' yung dating kasi she talks in English, parang nagooverlap minsan yung words nya. I guess nakuha din nya from watching Dora. Favorite nya yon before along with Diego and Team Umizoomi. Siguro kasi hindi pa talaga sila magaling magenunciate ng words kaya parang 'bulol' ang dating. When she started saying some Tagalog words, parang mga three na ata sya non (she'll be 4 in May), hindi pa din kasing-linaw ng other kids her age na talagang Tagalog magsalita, pero relatively mas malinaw pakinggan than when she was starting to talk in English. Siguro kasi yung Tagalog words mas maraming A sounds, unlike English.

Ganito ang panganay ko, nasa lahi ng husband ko ang delayed talkers.

Yung panganay ko at 3 years old, super bulol, tapos kokonti pa lang alam sabihin.

at 4, pumasok na siya sa school, pero bulol pa din, matataas grades niya, kaya minsan nagtatawanan kami
ni hubby, sasabihin kasi ni hubby sa akin "paano kaya naiintindihan ng mga teachers niya si baby?" hehe.

at 7 years old, ayun, doon lang dumiretso ang salita, yun lang sa subject na Filipino, sablay pa din,
hirap na hirap siya sa mga malalalim na tagalog.

pina speech therapy ko siya dati, mga 5 siya nun, tapos inenroll ko siya sa reading class, as in one on one tutorial, ayun
dumiretso din, thank God.

this maybe a factor pero i know few families na iba ang lahi ng both parents, 3 languages sinasalita ng mga bata.

at my daughter's ballet school, 1 child is 4 and the other is 3, their dad is japanese mom is chinese. they converse normally to their daddy in jap and then chinese naman sa mom pagdating sa mga classmates and teacher english.

sabi ng dance teacher, yun lang minsan, they would talk to their teacher in Jap then theyll correct themselves naman. ang cute!

hi mommies! i am also worried about my son. he's almost 14 months old pero puro babble lang ang ginagawa. he did talk twice before he was 1 year old. straight na "mommy" and another time naman, "daddy" pero hindi na naulit. we talk to him all the time to help develop his language skills and hindi kami nagsasalita ng pabulol. yung babies ng ibang kakilala ko, 8 and 9 months daw, nagsalita na yung babies nila. alam ko namang naiintindihan nya ako kasi pag kinakausap ko sya or nagbibigay ako ng command, sumusunod naman sya. he also seems smart kasi magaling sya gumawa ng paraan kapag may gusto syang gawin at kung ano ano'ng "kalokohan" ang naiisip nya.
