birth control pills "Yaz" for acne?

Mga sis ask ko pala. Safe ba pag uminom ng pills? sobrang irregular kasi ako eh diba yung pills is also used para manormalize yung menstruation? safe po ba uminom nito kahit dalaga pa ako? kasi sabi nung isa kong friend delikado daw ito eh kasi my side effect siya. And dahil nga sa irregular ako sobrang pinipimples talaga ako so habol ko din yung side effect niya na for acne. Thanks sa mga magrereply

nakakakinis talaga ng skin pag naka oc ka kase dami naka pansin na fresh yung skin ko while taking yasmin... kaya lang sumasakit yung ulo ko madalas kaya baka mag try ako ng althea same effect din daw ng dianne.

i took diane for almost a year for anti-acne...ganda ng skin ko at hindi ako nagkakapimples. i stopped then eto sinusugod na naman ng pimples ang gace ko. hay

Hi Mga sis. I was taking yasmin for at least 3 yrs and then nag shift naman ako ng althea and i think its pretty good naman. Usually talaga after finishing the pack i have my period after 4 days pa or even 5. Kaya wag mashado mag worry mga girls if di kayo dinatnan as scheduled. As long as you are taking the pills on time you'll be alright. I asked din pala if totoo ba na cause ng cancer ang pills if we take it for like 5 yrs and more and according to my mom in law no daw. No studies that guarantees that it is bec of the pills in fact it is also protection daw against cancer most especially mga cervical or breast. My mom in law nga apla is my OB din whisch is the head of Womens Unit in a very good hospital kaya im sure na totoo sinasabi hehe

When I was in US, may mga ads from lawyers that if you experienced some bad side effects from yaz they can assist you but andami nagcocomplain. I just dunno if sa ads lang talaga yun or if it is true. Some kasi nagkaheart disease e.

I don't know about yasmin, I took althea before and nawala lahat ng acne ko. Not only on the face but chest, back or wherever! But after a long time, my skin got so dry it started to flake really bad especially my hip area.

For those taking Yaz, may feeling ba kayo na parang laging busog?  I'm not sure if this is the effect of Yaz or Metformin that I am taking for my PCOS too.

Yes pwedeng magka-heart disease by taking BCPs pag nags-smoke. Nagcclot kase ang blood.

FYI: YAZ is different from Yasmin

The main difference between the two is that Yaz contains less of estradiol compared to Yasmin. Yasmin contains about 30mcg ethinyl estradiol while Yaz contains about 20mcg

waahh. naguguluhan ako.. natry ko na diane mga 2-3months hindi naman nag clear skin ko, pero hindi kaya masyado lang ako ngmamadali... mga naka three box ako, edi ba for 2 weeks use lang ata yun... gusto ko tuloy try yaz, pero mga kaibigan ko makikinis na diane35 gamit

hi ladies, ako i've stopped drinking YAZ kasi i found out na nirerecall ang YAZ abroad. Recently lang ako nagstop mag YAZ, 1st week of MAY lang (i started lat Oct. 2009,prescribes by an OB in philippines). hmmm...i met a few friends and even my sister who are taking yaz...wala naman sila side effects. pero sa iba grabe naman.
ang alam ko bad sa yaz kasi parang may diuretic effect sya. ang diuretic can increase potassium sa heart and can cause stroke, heart attack and blood circulation issues. ganun din sa ibang pills, mas mataas lang din risk sa yaz/yasmin because of the drispoperone (?!).
even yun isang klaseng pills may bad side effects and may class actions na i-ban na yun component na yun... i forgot if its desogestrel (Mercilon brand).
i think most meds have side effects and have to be used cautiously. siguro break 1-2 months after 6months or something?

eh ang drinking of softdrinks regularly diba alam naman natin lahat can cause diabetes which also leads to heart problems and the like pero inom pa rin haha

Sis may Yaz ba sa pinas? Actually I'm taking it now but I'm going to Phil. and my Ob here (Abroad) said keep taking Yaz to stop my pimples But I dunno if Yaz is available there?

MGA SIS!!!! Tulungan niyo naman ako o! I'm 22 at first time akong nagkapimples na ganito! Okay, hindi naman sobrang halata, pero nakakainis pa rin na parang walang sign of stopping tong mga to!
Takot nga ako na may PCOS ako e. Hindi ko pa malalaman until April when I meet with my OBGYN.
Pero samantala, KUNG may PCOS ako at ipreprescribe ako ng pill, ano yung pinaka effective against pimples? Alam ko na iba iba yung reaction natin, mga sis. PERO, I'm a Pinay from Canada, at since parehas tayo ng race, I trust the opions of my fellow Pinays about their reaction to the best birth control pill for acne treatment!

Pumunta na ako sa derma at sa regular GP ko-- both of them prescribed 2 different pills. Yung derma sabi mag Diane daw ako. Pero yung GP ko sabi mag Yasmin. MGA SIS! Ano ba talaga dapat yung gawin ko? Sobrang depressed na ako sa mga pimples ko! Pero ayoko din namang i-risk yung somewhat clear skin ko... what if grumabe yung pimples ko pag mag pill?!?!?! As in, parang napapaiyak na talaga ako because of this!!!!!
