Never change your religion dahil sa partner. Do it kasi yun ang pinaniniwalaan

my ex-bf's relationship right now is sooo complicated daw..he's a catholic and the girl is iglesia! sabi nia akala nia nung una kaya nya, at hindi sya naniniwala dun sa friend nia na talagang mahirap ang different religion! ang daming bawal daw kasi. dumating sila sa point na parehas nilang pinapili mga sarili nila. religion or relationship? parehas nila pinili mga religion nila..ang ending shaky relationship nya ngayon!

imo, this is definitely one tough hindrance in a relationship; im catholic and i have an ex na LDS (mormon); I was willing to convert, kasi what's important is I have my relationship w/ God,
it wasnt really because of the religion why we fell apart, pero nung bago sya mag-mission, nagkakagulo na talaga kami..

For me, dapat habang nagliligawan pa lang ay dapat ng pag usapan to.

my mom  and dad have different religions, mom is a catholic, dad is a hindu. they got married civil lang and had us, we were baptized sa catholic church nung baby pa kami pero now that we are grown ups na we have a choice kung saan namin gusto. i don't think this is an issue at all, kailangan lang mapag usapan ng couple and respect for the religion of the other, pangit kasi magpa-convert kapag iba naman talaga ang pinaniniwalaan. kailangan kapag magpapa-convert gusto talaga nung party na magpa-convert hindi dahil pinilit nung isa.  sa case ng parents ko, they respect each other's religion kaya ok. kahit super magkaiba. that's what you call love  :)

it might get complicated esp if the two religions are not based on the same spiritual ethos and principles.  overnight, somebody cannot just change from believing in one thing then into something else.  and this cannot just be ignored because our daily lives are performed within the bounds of the religion that we practice.
way too many conflicts to be dealt with and resolved.

I have a guy friend who is actually an agnostic now pero previously Protestant kasi we both grew up in Protestant families. yung college gf nya na current and first gf ay Iglesia. he wanted to be converted ASAP. by next year ata matapos process nya or something? I don't really mind what he did kasi it's his choice pero well di ako comfortable if I were him. ano nga naman magagawa mo pag inlove ka na. haha. minsan gusto ko na sya tanungin, pano kung di pala sya yon? pano kung paconvert ka tapos di naman kayo magkatuluyan?

hubby is Roman Catholic, I was born a Protestant but I studied in a Catholic school, thus had my baptism and kumpil and all that when I was 14.
