My bf of 6 months is an active member of Iglesia ni Cristo while I am an active member of my church (Seventh Day Adventist). Everything is working well with our relationship except our conflict in religion. We dare not talk about it as we are trying to avoid conflicts which might eventually lead to arguments and worst, breakup.

I know someday we will have to deal with this but I am afraid of losing him. I have met his family and they are nice to me. My family treats him well too. I don't know how to resolve our issue.

Has anyone here experienced the same? Please share your thought as I am serious in keeping our relationship and am hoping that we would get married and have our own family someday. Thanks!

^ Tama yan, sis.

Mine didn't prosper. Marami kaming hindi napagkakasunduan. Sad to say na walang pinatunguhan ang aming relasyon, pero ang importante sa mga may conflict ang religion, bago ka magpa convert, ask yourself if you are 100% sure na gusto mong gawin yun. If may doubt, wag na ituloy. :)

My INC bf and I got married last March. I am 5 months pregnant now.

Sa ngayon, I really do not feel like changing my religion (I am a Sabadist).

Paglabas ni baby, maybe mas marami kami dapat pagusapan.  :(

before catholic ako pero ngayon inc na because my husband is inc.. at first inis na inis ako sa mga pinagsasabi nya bout sa mga aral ng inc,as in napakadami ko tanong,of course diba dahil sa nakasanayan ko sa catholic.. lalo na sa sinasabi nila na inc lang ang maliligtas at yung pagsamba nila twice a week,e ako nga sa catholic birthday xmas lang ata nakakasimba hehe!!! yung father ko at first ayaw pero yung mother ko sobrang suporta niya sa amin..wala na nagawa yung father ko.. never naman niya ako pinush na magpaconvert, ewan ko ba basta nalang paggising ko one morning e gusto ko na magpadoctrina.. at super natuwa siya..ako din diko ma explain bakit dumating ang araw na naging bukal sa loob ko na magpadoctrina despite ng inis, badtrip ko before sa aral ng inc.. maybe because calling na rin sa akin ni God na mapaglingkuran ko naman siya at mapasaya ko ang husband ko.. hindi nga ako makapaniwala na madami pala silang aral na sobrang nagbukas sa isip ko,natutunan ko na written in the bible.. awa naman ng Ama e eto happy family and tuloy padin kami sa pagsamba at never na naging conflict ang religion.

Good for both of you.  :) Ako naman, honestly, is hoping na siya ang magconvert to Sabadist. Pero right now,  I think that's too much to ask. Pero malay natin, one day, we'll wake up and decide to be in one religion na lang. I'm always praying for that.

it matters to me. its complicated. i would prefer a guy na ka religion ko and i could easily bring him to church activities, Bible study and i think the connection is strong. marami kayung something in common. if he's not a christian, ayaw ko naman pilitin siya mag convert sa religion ko kahit hindi niya gusto. mas gusto ko matamaan siya sa words and then thats the time mag convet na siya... ;D

i had ex boyfrens before na ibang religion.at first kever lang but then nagtagal it became one of the reasons why we broke up. both of us don't want to give up our religion.

Kami naman before we got married we discussed about this so malinaw talaga kung saan kami ikakasal at magchurch as family.  :) 5 years kami naging mag on and 5 years narin kami as husband and wife..ang problem lang naman usually yung nasa palagid nyo nagsasabi na dapat ganito o ganyan pero wag nalang pansinin kasi kayo magasawa ang may usapan..pero dapat malinaw kung ano gagawin di yung kung kailan andayan na saka lang paguusapan..problema talaga yun.. :-\

Hindi naman sa iniisip kong pwede kami magkatuluyan pero what if magkagustuhan kami along the way eh di problem ko na naman ulit religion. :(

Hi everyone,
Sounds interesting here, may each and everyone blessed us! I am also like others seek some advises, I can maybe narrate my story in two topics to tired neither being single nor relationships with the different religions.  Like others issues of being tired single at late 30’s of age for some reasons. Mine is due for identical love. I am a Muslim lady live in a very modern way. But one thing I can proud of is for a long journey been taking up in my life, my faith was never change nor even questioned, I love who I am!  I am easy to be with specially I am working abroad so I met different people characteristic. Im enjoying my life with my Christian’s friends and same with others belief and that’s maybe why I used to fallen in love with a Christian guy and easily attached. I open sometimes my life to mingle with my collogues Muslim male friends as I prepared to be with, in the future but my luck is not so great. I see a differences and comparison in a many ways of relationship. My passion of love found in Christian guy. So that’s the reason why I stay single at late 30s. I prepare in my life a Muslim guy as strictly to follow by our cultures, but no one there being true and available for me, a couple of theme came once in my life but all unsuccessfully story. I ALWAYS PRAY NA MUSLIM GUY ANG DUMATING SA AKIN PERO PARANG TUKSO AT HAMON LAGI SA AKIN SI OTHER RELIGIONS...

I am married to a muslim.

Gosh! Good thing I found this thread.. I have this HS crush kase w/c happened to be my suitor na. He's Muslim but he said, hindi na daw nya pina-practice since wala na yung dad nya. Pero recently lang, he asked me if willing daw ba akong magpa-convert if ever. I told him, no. Kasi hindi ko talaga kaya. It might be off-topic, pero another prob kung bakit ako nag-aalangan sakanya is because he works in Dubai. So if ever, LDR kami. Hayyy! I just dunno if kaya ko. Combo na agad ang aberya sakanya. Tsk'  :o

My fiance is Episcopal. I was non-practicing Catholic but I converted to Episcopal, and am now a born again Christian. But I am happy about it.

My boyfriend never pressured me to convert. Pero he was praying all this time na I would find God and have Him in my life. :) When I started asking Him about his church, he knew it was God answering his prayers. I attended a lot of Christian classes until finally, I converted...

I didn't actually convert because I love him but because I believed in our doctrines and I really wanted to be a born again Christian na.

It's been 4 years and we are planning to get married. We have been engaged for quite some time but until last month, we didn't get a go signal from my parents kasi they are Catholic and they still wanted us to have a Catholic wedding. Pero pumayag na after we patiently waited for them to give us their blessing. Happy. :)

Siyempre it's a big NO for me. Hanggang sa tumatagal he cheated on me at nagiging cold ang reason niya magkaiba daw kami ng religion. But now yung wife niya catholic din naman.

Honestly ngayon ang dami ko ng reasons why i am better not to be a catholic anymore. Ng catholic ako hindi ko ramdam yun pagpapahalaga ng church sa members niya i do not feel the unity ng mga members, also d naexplain sakin ang bad meaning ng sign of the cross, celebrating feast etc.
