ayaw ba ng parents mo?

hindi naman sa ayaw. i mean they know the decision i made. yun nga lang, kasi syempre very active ang mom ko sa church (catholic), parang may konting disconnect. they just let me do my thing. i sometimes get comments from them na medyo snide but it's been relatively peaceful naman. di ko tuloy ma-imagine kung bigla akong nag-muslim or hindu.

you just have to love each other.  may kilala ko inc and catholic.  pero nagpakasal sila. i'm not sure about the girl, friend ko kasi yung lalaki and he's taking it pretty well.  in fact he doesn't care what anybody from the girl's family says.  risk is parents can hate you. so you really have to love the person ng sobra to make it work. :)

as for the kids, ako. resulta ako ng daddy na pastor dati sa christian/born again, mommy na devout catholic dati.  i appreciate and respect all religions.there's a little truth in every religion, it's a matter of what you decide to believe in and if you are willing to stick to that.

bwisit ako sa mga niloloko lahat ng religion. how immature can you get? disrespecting beliefs of other people. if you are worried about it getting in the way for the kids.explain mo lang sa kanila kung bakit. :)

i'm going out with a guy who calls himself catholic/jewish. his mom is catholic, dad is jewish. i don't know which faith he practices but i think he practices both... or maybe he just doesn't go to church at all. lol he celebrates christmas with a menorah as a centerpiece on the dinner table.

I have a muslim boyfriend and i am catholic hindi pa naman namin nagiging problem na magkaiba kami ng religion pag nababanggit sya about his religion shut up and smile na lang ako kc kung makiki argue pa ko malamang it will end up into fights. :)

Hi sis, you are truly blessed. Now that you found your true calling thru your husband. I am kapatid also ( Iglesia Ni Cristo member ).

I had a boyfriend of 2 years and 8 months before, Sabadista siya, it did not work with us. Super dami naming differences, at ang major is magkaiba kame ng religion.

hi.. ako catholic dati and my hubby iglesia, napreggy ako nang hindi pa ako nagpapaconvert, pero hindi naman sya tiniwalag kasi nagpadoctrine na ako and nangako na itutuloy ko.  umabot ako ng 2 years because preggy nga ako so tamad na tamad ako. after i gave birth sinabihan kami na ikasal nalang muna kami civil para hindi daw pangit tignan na magkasam na kami sa bahay kasi bwal talaga yun..

now nasanay na din ako mas madalas pa nga ako sumamba kesa sa hubby ko eh.. siguro calling na din to kasi dati nung catholic ako hindi ako nagsisimba kaya ayan binigyan ako ng iglesia na husband.. wala naman naging problema sa family kasi sabi nila as long as nagbago ka na and iisa lang naman ang dyos, ngayon born again na [textspeak!] parents ko.

I have two cases to share.

Case 1
My bf was Protestant and I am a Buddhist. We've been friends for a year before we started to date. Actually, I was surprised he wanted to go out with me, because he was very vocal that his girlfriend should be of the same religion as him. But when I asked him about that, sabi niya ok daw, kaya daw niya. So we dated. For a month. Then he suddenly broke up with me, cause di raw niya kaya ang different religions. He's an American by the way.

Case 2
My bf is Catholic and I am  a Buddhist. I've stopped eating beef since 8 years ago as a sign of respect of Buddhism. My bf loves to eat beef. But, what the heck, I never stop or preach about stopping to eat beef. It's his choice. In fact, he voluntarily tells me that he wants to take me to the temple so that I could pray. While I ask him often if he's gone to church yet.

The moral of the story is wala sa religion yun, nasa tao. Religion is a tool for our spirituality. Basta same kayo ng beliefs that human being should be good, should respect our elders, neighbors, and life, the relationship will work. Para lang yan mathematics, 5+5=10, 6+4=10, there are many ways to get a 10, as long as you're open-minded and flexible.

my hubby is a catholic and i'm a "protestant" but we have an agreement na magpapaconvert siya kasi ayokong mag-asawa ng iba ang paniniwala, just a matter of respect pero gusto ko kasi iisang direksyon kami. anyways, di ko siya pinilit,..siya pa ang nagsabi.
we're still working our relationship, my sister's don't like him because he's not a member of our belief.
i just hope that we will endure to the end. we love each other very much, and i'm happy with him kahit anong trials pa, together we will work things out.

we had a good 2 years, im a Christian and he's INC.

i know they cared about me, but it's my choice, kala naman nila alam nila ang magiging future. tao pa rin sila, pareho pareho lang. magpapaconvert naman yung tao, di ko nga pinipilit. hmmmm...

in my opinion, it's not solely on religion why a relationship would fail or succeed. nasa ugali and attitude din yun nung people na involved. i'm a single mom. my son's father is an INC and i'm catholic. it didn't work out for us, not solely because of our religions. it didn't work out for us because the guy's irresponsible and has a bad temper (battered-gf ako when we were together). so based on experience, kahit ano pa ang religion mo (even if it's the "perfect religion"), but if you don't put to practice what your church/doctrine teaches you, then kahit same religion pa kayo ng gf/bf mo, the relationshp won't work. just my two cents.  ;)

tama kau mag sissies, it really depends on the attitude sa tao, dahil kahit anong turo sa church if di mo naman sinusunod eh useless din. nakakairita na rin kasi ang mga comments nila. i mean let's be fair naman sa tao, kasi meron naman tayong choices na pumili. kung nakaya nilang magpakatino, how much more pa kaya ang iba diba. nasa tao yun hindi sa church...
ang mali lang kasi sa iba, they counsel, yes they do, pero di man sila nagsasalita pero mafefeel mo sa kanila na parang aloof sila makipag- usap sa iyo. kulang nalang tanungin nila ako "are you one of us?"... di naman tayo perfect. hay, kainis lang.  >:(
