I have a friend who was in this kind of rel.  Sabi niya ang hirap daw, most speacially kung hindi mahigpit sa panggagalingan mong religion, pos super higpit sa pupuntahan mo.

Meron din nung una eh may mga paniniwala sa new religion na you dont believe... and ending they broke up.

it will not work. especially pag nagkatuluyan kayo. it will be a divided household. dapat nga ang unang-unang oneness niyo ay sa aspect ng spirituality and everything else will follow.

Mahirap at napakahabang discussion eto pero ang important e you both love each other and you are both willing to compromise.pag muslim at catholics kasi madalas e catholics ang nagpapa convert..pero case to case basis eto whoever has the stronger spiritual roots and both parties should be open minded..

I dated a BA. she's a very good person. we knew from the start na mahirap nga, but we gave it a try. It didn't work. at least we gave it a try.

Meron naman ako naging prospect na protestant. we gave it a try too. Pero in the end nagpadaplis siya na "I'm not going back to being a Catholic or Christian ( kasi Christian yung high school niya, i just dont know what kind of Christian) nadaanan ko na ang mga yun and they're not for me." I'm not catholic by the way, for those who do not know. Nasabi ko lang na parinig, kasi after that unti unti naging cold.

pero ganun talaga ang buhay. So its better talaga to start something na alam mo ang religious background.

My husband and I came from two different religious backgrounds. I am Catholic and he is Protestant.

I knew from the start about his religion but it didn't matter much that we eventually got married (in civil rites). It became quite a concern though after, since my family and friends would ask me what religion would our baby have, and that according to them, the kid will develop confusion since the household has two different religious beliefs. There were times we would discuss on certain issues about faith, and end up with a heated argument. I have yet to display a religious icon in our house.

Went to attend service at their church on some occasions, I just observe, then would mention my observation to him. No, I would not ridicule nor make fun of it, its just that I find it too long and boring on certain parts. He on his part has also attended Catholic service (though he doesn't make the sign of the cross and some other things we Catholics do when attending mass).

Our son was baptized as Catholic and hubby did not object. But his mother did, saying "bakit ayaw ko daw ba pabinyagan sa simbahan nila at gusto ko sa Catholico." I just laughed it off. Hubby mentioned his intention of having our kid blessed in their church, I wouldn't mind, but he never actually came around to doing so.

The bottom line is, we may not agree on certain aspects pertaining to faith, but we respect each others belief. In our mind, there is only one God that we worship anyway, and that alone matters.

my fiance is born again. im catholic. there are some changes that i had to get accustomed to when we started going out. he's very faithful to his beliefs and syempre he wants to be with a girl who goes to the same church and prays the same as he does. eventually, i converted (i even had a water baptism). nalungkot ako na hindi nagpunta ang parents ko pero masaya ako kasi we go to the same church na.

i had a friend in college na ganun din. iglesia yung girl at katoliko yung guy. they had to keep their relationship a secret kasi ayaw nung parents ng friend ko. gusto ata nung parents ni friend eh iglesia din yung maging bf nya. she tried to go out with her churchmates kaso it didnt work for her. on and off yung relationship nila nung guy lalo na nung nagmigrate sa states yung guy. as of now, definitely, wala na sila nung guy. ayaw din naman magpaconvert nung guy eh.

Question lang, is there a non-spoken agreement that one should convert to the other's religion?

my bf's moslem and i'm a protestant.it wasn't an issue when we first started out but we've had serious discussions about it lately coz we're thinking of taking steps more seriously...it's tough on my part kasi let's face it,i have to convert sooner or later.i'm not very religious as a person,to be honest so i don't really mind if we're different.kaya lang,we have to agree on certain things like marriage ceremonies ,the kids (in the future).i'll just have to learn how to adjust.i'm open to change if it suits me and i'm convinced, that's what i told him but he's very open minded as well that if i do,it has to be on my own volition hindi yung napilitan lang.in time, and as they say,Inshallah (God willing).
