My husband came from a big family - the kind na magkakapitbahay lang pati second and third degree relatives.

Ngayon, first birthday na, in-expect ng lahat na pati relatives to the highest level e invited so goodluck sa min  :'(

Kakainggit mga sisters dito who can do away with the kind of party they want and people to invite.

I, myself have a big clan too.  Mother side and father side, siguro more or less, nasa 90.  Take note, lahat ito first degree.
Pero nung wedding ko, 120 lang guests namin.  We talked to our parents na we want it to be intimate so kahit first degree kamag-anak kita, if we are not close, hindi kita invited.  I don't know kung nagtampo sila or what pero kami talaga nasunod sa invited guests namin.  Gastos naman namin ni hubby yun e.  Even if tumutulong parents namin, hindi talaga kami pumayag, para na rin hindi sila magtampo kung hindi namin invite yung gusto nilang invite.

Pero kay baby, I really want it to be special.

super enjoy to read different kinds of stories here sa GT. Nakaka-aliw and dami kong na learn sa inyong lahat  ;)
sa aug na ang 1st bday ng baby ko, nag reserve na ako sa isang FF ( they can accomodate 160 pax, but kulang din   :o) plan kona to have a simple 1st bday celebration bec ako lang ang matutuwa if ever. He can have a big party anytime he wants later on pag marunong na siya para may kasama na akong ma stress  :o .kasi my hubby, he let me decide on everything, as in lahat, …nakaka stress to do everything on your own and esp din  if you want mag diy  ;D pero sulit naman [textspeak!].
We celebrated my son’s baptism during his 4th month bday. In Chinese tradition medyo ( a little…maybe… for some) special ang 4th month ng babies bec it means daw na nalagpasan na nila ang critical stage ( im not really sure if this is the reason ha). I really made sure to make his binyag a little special  bec konti lang ang invited namin ( primary families and kids ng ninong n ninangs na ang dami kaya ang saya ) total of 60 lahat pero mga 10 dito are yayas na. we were supposed to celebrate it in summer palace, good thing nakalimutan nila un pencil booking ko so they gave us a mini ballroom nalang.  Kaya nag hire nako ng host and someone to decorate the place. May games and prices and lootbags, Masaya kasi pwede nang mag ingay  ;)
Sa birthday naman excited na ulit ako, main focus is for the kids talaga to enjoy, kids palang 60 na ang nasa list ko ….oh no kulang sa space! More on sa prizes, games, lootbags, pabitin, prizes and  prizes ang pagkakagastusan ko, para sa mga kiddos  ::) and also sa photo and video….hindi ko din masyadong titipidin, para naman sa memories ni baby  ;D

hehe

I agree with sis stormy na yung 1st birthday is actually for the moms.  ;) I first gave birth when I was hehe..aga lumandi eh..so nung 1st birthday ko sagot ng daddy ko and sa ex hubby's side ko..wala pa akong alam sa buhay non eh. so ngyong may 2nd baby ako..it's an achievement for me na mabigyan sha ng magandang 1st birthday celebration..na sariling pera ko na yung ginastos at kung may bigay man eh...kusang loob hindi yung hingi ko.  :) same tyo sis jhoanne..[textspeak!] guests ko sa kfc na 80 eh naging hehe.pero i made sure that it's a fast food party that they won't forget..medjo naging successful naman ako dun. hehe

A lot of us has our own story and sentiments to tell..but all i know is that our child's 1st birthday party either we celebrate it simple or bongga is something a mom will find fulfillment with. A lot of us I know would want a grand birthday celebration if the budget permits but times are tough and we really have to be practical. So kahit saan mo pa i celebrate yang party ng anak mo mommy..proud ako s'yo.  :) i'ts hard being a mom and a wife and squeezing all the preparations for a party be it grand or simple makes all of us super hehe

it's a big responsibility to be mom kaya ang sarap din ng feeling ma-icelebrate ang 1st birthday the best we can...at makita lang natin ang smiles sa mga bata at guests natin ay masarap ng reward sa lahat ng preps at gastos!  ;)

Medyo OT

 :'( :'(

Share ko lang im not really the mother pero granny ako.

My first granddaughter will be celebrating her 1st birthday sa 27 June, two or three months ahead nag bubudget na ako ng birthday niya kasi I know its her 1st birthday, but sadly to say shes in the hospital and pang 7 days na nya bukas.  Off course yung budget ko para sa birthday nya ay maapektuhan sana gumaling na siya kaagad wala lang share ko lang kasi everyday lumalaki na yung hospital bill niya and nag woworried ako sa birthday nya if we can still afford bonggang 1st birthday niya.  Im so excited pa naman before kasi gusto ko talagang medyo bongga ang birthday nya.  I really tried my best to save some money every month para sa birthday niya pero worried na nga ako ngayon kasi hindi pa sure kung hanggang kelan siya sa hospital. :'( :'(

^^sis maria, isipin mo na lang na there's always a chance mag-paparty next time for your apo. just try to take it one day at a time...for now tell yourself na important yung health niya muna and kung maipangbayad sa hospital yung pang-party niya, atleast yung money nagamit para mapagaling siya... ;) you can always have a bonggang party pagnaka-ipon uli. basta ligtas si baby...

i've been in that feeling recently din kasi. party ng daughters ko--binyag ni bunso at 2nd birthday ng panganay namin. i made lots of diy preps for the party months ago as in career talaga to make it special...i'm super excited lalo na for our panganay since she'll be able to play with other kids and blow her cake...but days before the party she started vomitting everything she takes. we are thinking to bring her to the hospital after the party but the night before the party we decided to rush her to the hospital na since she's getting dehydrated already...we are hoping sana na she will get better before the party. me and hubby are so confused kung itutuloy pa ba namin ang party or cancel na lang...but then, we still pushed through since it's also our youngest daughter's party and di na ma-kacancel ang binyag...di na rin pwede ma-move yung reservation ng venue at nakapag-prepare na ng food ang inlaws ko...

na-sasad  :'( ako wala yung panganay ko dun. excited ako makita her happy face but then ano ba mas importante di ba? i just try to tell myself whenever i feel bad na be thankful she's ok na...bawi na lang uli next time... also if you decide to give your apo a bonggang party on the 2nd bday, ok lang din naman yun dahil mas makakaparticipate na siya sa party niya at me time ka pa mag-ipon at plan uli... =)

i hope and pray na gumaling na siya!  :)

^^hope your apo will be healthy for her upcoming birthday.

Korek kayo mga sis na kaya tayong mga mommy eh gustong maging bongga ang celebration ng 1st birthday becoz its a reward for the mommies...and daddies as well.  ;D Si hubby gusto nya talga i-celebrate namin kasi we waited for Tristan to come after 2years. Ako personally, thanksgiving talaga for my pregnancy. Kasi sobrang praning ako to ensure his health inside my womb, maraming mga sacrifices sa work ko that I had to do, buti na lang, understanding ang boss ko. At as new parents, we're surviving naman. At sa Awa ni GOd, Tristan is growing healthy.  There are a LOT of reasons to celebrate!  Of course, ang pinaka-excited ako is opening ng mga gifts na darating! hehe

Kasi we're doing a Jollibee party with family, godparents, relatives and friends. So we ended up taking the pictures ourselves nung nsa reception na!
