I wasn't pinpointing anyone's post when i stated the opinions about usana products. I was actually generalizing all the negative comments i have read from so many people. We all have the same opinion that mlm is not for everyone. What is sad to see is that those who have had bad experiences from other companies are stating that all mlm people are either scammers or stupid, which is a bit unfair because there are a lot who are simply working (selling products, introducing the mlm business to others, doing presentations). This is just my opinion: The payments made to those who were able to sell much (commissions) can be supported by the business plan of usana because aside from product sales profits, there are also investments in the company (stock market). If it doesn't work out for me, then it's just a business flop. Not all investments i make will turn out to be goldmines right? But if i didnt try it, then i wouldnt know. I agree that people who "kidnap" their friends and officemates are scum, but not everyone who enters usana/mlm businesses are like that. Just choose the right type of mlm, you'll earn.

I hope I don't offend anyone, but my conscience tells me to say what
I want to say.

I'm not implying that my sense of morality is far better than anyone
else, I'm saying that this is, personally, what I believe I have to say.

And what I'm about to say, I have made it a point to research well,
not unlike most people who research, who just read and take everything
from face value, but in my opinion, a more meticulous way of research.

---RE USANA---

I was checking USANA because it was recommended by business friends
way way back, and there are MLM books that recommend it too.

But upon checking a lot of materials over the net, I found out that
USANA had several lawsuits filed against it.

Not that getting sued means you're scum, most legitimate companies get
sued every now and then (you can't please everyone)...

But this particular lawsuit made me say, "no" to this company.

USANA was sued for being a pyramiding scam, and one of the stipulations
was... and please read carefully...

"products were overpriced and not of greater quality when compared with
other products"

Quote ko muna:
"The judge cited two examples where Usana failed to refute Minkow's claims that its products were overpriced because they were not of better quality than other lower-priced brands. Usana's arguments were "hypertechnical statements representing differing interpretation of data," Campbell said."

(from Utah's Salt Lake Tribunal
http://www.sltrib.com/ci_8470183)

What happened was since USANA cannot prove to the judge that
thier products were of better quality, they made settlements
off-court, para matapos lang. (In my opinion, makaiwas)

I'm not squeamish about high prices of products... I buy expensive
items too.

What I don't like is that the company's reps, hype (in my
opinion, lie) about their products being above and beyond
normal products, which is not the case, at least legally...

They can't legally prove their products are better.

Mahirap sa conscience magpromote ng lies.

Pwede namang sabihin na maganda ang products without
saying its way better, well in fact hindi naman totoo.

^I feel you. Laging ganyan banat ng mga nagrerecruit. Ako herbalife naman. Naging consumer nalang din ako kasi honestly ayoko nung modus na magiinvite ka for a misleading information. Doon nalang ako sa what you see is what you get.

No offense meant :) IMO, usana products are really good and that they are better than other products sold in pharmacies. I am a user din kasi and talagang maganda effect sa akin ng products nila. Pero you're right the about price being too high. They should have made it affordable for everyone.

I remembered what my mom told me about the products being sold by networking companies. Supplier din kasi siya ng products sa 2 of the bigges local networking companies. Umaabot ng more than 1000-2000% ang patong nila. Minamahalan daw yung products para kapanipaniwalang effective yung product.

To each his own opinion. But with the case I sighted,
The judge clearly said USANA's products were not better,
Since they cant win the case, Usana went for settlement.

ang effects ng products nagiging subjective because of
The placebo effect, which means kahit hindi effective ang
Products, bastat pinaniwalaan mo na gagana, magiging
Effective sayo.

i'd have to backread pa. but i'm subscribing. kasi ang kulit ng bestfriend ko, he's joined last week lang. tapos sinasali na niya ako. and to think he even borrowed the money he used to be a member  :o

so siguro nga there are members na yumaman na at kumita ng malaking-malaki. sila itong mga tipong first few who joined and then siyempre they are at the top na. and hindi pa saturated ang market. naisip ko lang, of ALL the members of a certain MLM/Networking company, ilang percent ng buong membership population and millionaires?

I have always been allergic to MLM/networking etc. even if my friends would swear by the product pa.Maybe because of how it was marketed and feeling ko kase niloloko lang ako. I have heard horror stories about being scammed etc by supposed to be big networking companies thats why ever since iwas nalang rin ako. until one day I met a product which is healthy and non invasive kaya I gave it a shot. Safe naman sya coz walang pinapasok as system ko. I started as a user until friends started asking when they saw the results. I just shared it lang and realized pwede din sya sideline. the good thing is may trial so clients get to try it firsthand see if its for them. Secondly wala sya auto debit which for me sapilitan talaga yung companies who does that. Pano pala if the next month short ka? Thirdly if and when you decide to be an agent your position does not change even if you stop doing the biz. For now I'm just doing it part time and enjoying it. I guess first we need to really love and believe in the product. And the best way to share it with friends and clients is to share our own testimonials. :)

Btw they've been in the market for 25 years now  ;)

Hi sissies, nalulungkot naman ako sa mga nababasa ko, totoo pala yun mga ganon, kung ano anong klaseng strategy para lang ma-invite mo yung mga tao, for me, as mabuti sabihin mo sakanila ng deretso na may business kayo na pag-uusapan kesa party daw kuno tapos bigla kayo papaupuin, mas OFF sakin yon, mas lalayo yung mga tao. For me ha.
Ako, I joined also a networking company, my First and Forever.  :)
Why?

Network marketing is a helping people business, kung niloloko mo ang tao, saan ang "helping" don? And don't excite them sa figures, let them think if its for them and if they will really commit in the business. hindi yung basta lang may mapa sign up ka, think of long term. yan ang turo sa amin sa company namin. what you see is what you get.
and we dont invite in ways like may party, third party ka na makikinig sa boss, etc. we tel the straigh na its a business, and if they ask if its networking? yes! and out of 300 direct selling company in the philippines, 32 lang ang member and were on top 5. para sa akin, tao na kasi ang maghuhusga whether or not ang compant mo ay legit at proper. wag natin sila paikutin kasi makikita at maikita nila yon. and what's good in our company, may sarili kapa website na pag mag purchase sayo yung mga client, via online lang tapos i-dedeliver na ng LBC sakanila. eh yung iba halos hikain ka buhatin yung mga products tapos idedeliver mo sa mga tao grabe lang yung hassle.

Pero i really got pissed when my officemate texted me if I want to donate para sa mga nasalanta ng bagyo (Maring), of course i replied with yes, sagot ba naman bili daw ako sakaniya ng products para yung benta yun daw idodonate. LOL.

Nakaka loka sa paraan yan ah!

Ako i'll go straight explain the hyperplan tapos kung gusto pakinggan good. Kung ayaw edi wag. Pwede mag wait pwedeng NO.

i strongly agree with this. respetuhin nalang sana yung mag-say ng NO. pag sinabi nang NO, kahit sino pa ang makipag-usap diyan sa prospect mo kung ayaw talaga niya, wala kang magagawa. and take it na.

and other people may like the idea of "taking their time in their own hands" pero kailangan mo pa rin naman kilusan at trabahuhin yan. hindi yan petiks lang at may papasok nang pera sayo.

i agree... hindi naman lahat ng nag-negosyo ng kahit ano, naging millionaire... hubby is an usana member in SG

yumaman ba kami sa USANA? only time will tell. everyone can argue that the wealth we're accumulating comes from his salary and my salary.  but i can say, it did speed up the process of acquiring the wealth

i had to agree to everyone's points in here being that USANA is expensive.  it has a law suit.  it wasn't able to prove at court that it's the ultimate medicine, etc

but we're treating our USANA membership as a business, and with every business, we need to work on it

nauna ba sya, you would ask? i say no.  he signed up last Dec2012, didn't bother with it for the next 4months.  started working on it last May, and now 3 of his downlines are already on the director levels

we're just glad we're able to help those pinoys too

This is the best reply I've seen so far.

It is indeed your business. When you joined, you already knew
you had responsibilities and challenges.

May mga kanya kanya kasi talaga tayong opinion.

And true naman in MLM, may kanya kanyang advantages at
disadvantages.

And iba iba rin tayong personalities,

i agree... hindi naman lahat ng nag-negosyo ng kahit ano, naging millionaire... hubby is an usana member in SG

anyways yung sponsor namin super sipag din and super bait, na inspire kami kc nabili nya bmw nya from his royale income. now ang sunod na car nya to buy this year ay bentley naman daw! :D

magaling silang mag motivate kasi you focus on selling the products (while consuming it also), kesehodang may recruit ka o wala kikita ka pa rin basta may sipag at tiyaga, in God's grace!

^ haha nice...

May mga kausap ako na pajoin from other countries as well...

Yung mga products like yung soaps at yung mga supplements
pinapakyaw at pinag-aagawan ng mga foreigners.

This is it!

From Philippines to the world!

Sa iba kasi foreigners ang uplines eh, which is ok...

:)
