worst thing that happened to our family >=@

imo if company si established na and product is as good as they claim, why need MLM?
i dont know., super appalled na ko sa mga networking

The difference between traditional business marketing sa MLM is mas costly ang traditional kasi mahabang process:

Factory -> National Distributor -> Local Distributor -> Consumers

Kapag MLM mas maiksi lang ang process at hindi ganun ka mahal para company.

Factory -> Independent distributor -> Consumers

Secondly, Kapag nakadisplay lang yung products sa mga stands sa grocery, hindi sya basta mapapansin ng mga consumer because they were displayed with other competitors. Kung may independent distributor they act as salesman so they can explain the benefits of each products.

ang hirap lang kasi ng mga product very high ang selling price. minsan may herbal soap sa usual supermarket at an affordable price pero sa MLM 2x or 3x ang price. so ang end, most people would buy in the supermarket regardless of the benefits. they would always opt for the cheaper price, no matter what. sana lang yung mga MLM since hindi naman nagbabayad ng endorsers, babaan yung price ng products that would compete sa market price.

^I would have to agree on this. If not most of the time, mahal din ang mga products ng MLM companies. Aminin natin yan. Experienced ko yan. I once tried to buy Grapeseed Extract tablets through MLM sellers, and my goodness! 2x-3x ang price. I ended up buying in Mercury Drug.

I don't believe in MLM. Why do I have to pay to help them move their product? Bakit yung avon naman direct selling din pero walang mem fee?

As also mentioned, di naman competitive sa market yung product. Overpriced kasi. Nag mamarket pa ng maling info about supplements. Yung iba, lahat na lang ng sakit magagamot na ng wheatgrass? C'mon.

Isa pa, shady recruitment practices. Bakit hindi pwede ibroadcast yung full details? No reason not to be transparent. Except gusto niyo muna macorner sa office niyo [textspeak!] recruits para mahiya tumanggi.

If the product is really good at naging successful na, why are we still not familiar with their products? Why haven't they moved on to trade marketing?

^ Amen to that. Hard selling, tricking into joining, and misinformation about the products turn me off big time.

It's also downright UNETHICAL to sell false hopes to people with cancer. I DETEST people who do this.

kainis yung pamangkin ng asawa ko. bigla nagparamdam, out of nowhere ah eh never naman nagparamdam yun! she invited us for breakfast, sa isang fast food in macapagal, we live in alabang pa ah.. may kutob ako na she'll sell something kasi i heard nga na she's into this. so ayun, dumsmating kami.. libre nya daw kami. and then kamustahan, sabay hirit ano daw tingin hamin sa networking. syempre sagot agad ako.. not my thing. next thing we know, the group next to our table ganged up on us forcing us to sign up. even using God ah!! sabi ko dont have money, sangla daw ako or just borrow money daw????

personally, inis ako! para kaming niloko, imagine woke up so early, bitbit pa namin baby.. drove all the way.. sabay ganun. bat nya kelangan itago yung purpose nya?? supercsorry asawa ko sakin alam nya kasi badtrip ako.

funny thing is, they metioned na magkakarun daw kami nice cars..(hummer pa example nila ah!) so nung pauwi na, we saw them magppapara ng taxi. so i asked "ay nakataxi kayo?" sabay open ng door ng car. hahaha

and after that, nakailang tawag pamangkin ng asawa ko nangungutang palagi!!!

^Yan yung mga lintang MLM. Unethical yung mga ganyan.
Sabi nga ng upline ko be a product of the product para hindi mo na kailangan maghabol lagi ng tao. Anyways to answer the question AGAIN as to why this marketing strategy has been developed if the product really works already - To make it plain it simple, instead of spending millions on commercials/models to promote the product, they created this kind of compensation plan because it's more practical and beneficial for all. Sa tao binibigay yung millyong milyong kinikita imbes na sa mga marketing agencies. As for the details of every product and compensation plan kahit naman wala ka sa MLM every bits and pieces of it should remain strictly confidential because the company owns it and they have the right to protect it. Para bang copyright infringement. Sa tindi ng competition ngayon siyempre it's best to have the right marketing strategy and MLM works good enough.

may mga taong sadyang ganid lang talaga at walang pakialam s kapwa nila kaya kun ano-anong klaseng panloloko gagawin. even the most reputable mlm can have negative feedbacks dahil na rin s mga independent distributors. kahit may mga rules and regulations ang mga company hindi pa rin sinusunod ng mga distributors. kanya-kanyang raket kasi yan para lang kumita.

Why generalized MLM's?! There are MLM's that are a big piece of crap. And there are those that not so much--taking for example Avon.

Parang pag sinabing MLM, masama na. Not that I am involve in such. Even Warren Buffet advised one lady entrepreneur to 'network.' I forgot her name but I know she's richer than Martha Stewart now.

^Oh, BTW, I perfectly understand what is MLM.

Sorry to offend.I did mention Avon because it is an example of a transparent non-shady direct selling business model. So yes, I consider direct selling a legit business model. Direct selling, NOT MLM.

Whatever works for you. For me though, as long as you derive considerable income from recruitment fees, I consider this a red flag.

^ No offense taken. If you see Avon's business structure, it is MLM.

^ There's some MLM component in avon's business. BUT most people I know who sell avon are more product selling-focused rather than recruitment-focused. Also, their products are not overpriced, and most direct sellers are not hard selling the products like they're some magic potion that will magically solve all your problems.

Hindi lang networking ang marketing strategy nila, they also use traditional advertising mediums like tv commercials and recently they've been sending their products out to famous bloggers for review.

kaya kailangan gawin yun ng avon kasi wala silang unique selling proposition. meaning kahit saan ka magpunta makakabili k ng products na pedeng cheaper than avon or even better. marami silang kakompitensiya s market. punta k ng department store nandun n lahat. ang gusto lang ng mga pinoy s mga tulad ng avon, natasha etc e pede mong kunin ng hulugan.

even Human Heart Nature may MLM component pero hindi na masyadong appealing s mga distributors kasi available na s groceries and even s ibang mga eco shops. so kun mapunta ako s store n nagbebenta nun pede akong mapabili agad-agad. pero since pede hulugan kaya may ibang bumibili pa rin s mga distributors.

^ I think the MLM being talked about here are those businesses that use MLM as their sole marketing arm, and push "networking" as business in itself.

It's not shady BUT it requires a lot of character in a person to be able to conduct him or herself with integrity as he runs his business. And we know not many people has such character. When you need to recruit more people, deceit and lying can and will happen. Which can also happen in most types of business. Ito nga lang MLM, the people who are lying to you are people you actually know like yung mga classmate mo nung highschool, officemate, etc.
