anyone here who keeps a diary?

yes, been keeping a diary since I was on my first year in highschool. It helped me a lot to know myself better. And yes, one of the best ways in pouring the scraps out of my system.

Minsan inggit ako sa friend ko, marunong siya mag-Japanese (read/write/speak). Kaya kahit ano'ng isulat niya sa papel, pakalat-kalat, di naman maintindihan ng kapamilya niya. hehe Mag-aral kaya ako ng Thai?

me! i'm here in saudi so whenever i feel sad, homesick, or happy, i write in my diary. i've only started since i came here. sometimes, paulit ulit kong binabasa ang mga past entries ko just to assess how much has changed in me in each day that passes.

i used to when i was still in school... but now i only keep a diary of purchases, expenses and travels... and major events/occasions... gone are the days of "dear diary..." for me talaga. hehe

I keep a journal. I don't write to it on a daily basis. I write about happy and sad moments. It helps keep me sane too.
Paranoid din ako na baka may makabasa so yung mga sinusulat ko din ay acceptable sa mga makakabasa. Haha!
Pero nung nabasa ko lahat ng mga comments niyo, nakakatuwa na mag start ulit at i-update ang journal ko.

i've been keeping a journal for 16 years now (16 notebooks yun!whew!). i write, doodle, draw, write poems and other stuff. it's a therapy for me. i even asked my friend to bring it with me in my casket when i die. hehe. my thoughts are not for everyone's indulgence. and whenever i have time, i read my entries again. it makes me laugh and cry sometimes.

i even suggested keeping a "journal" to my students. i told them that it can be an outlet for their emotions.

I used to have a diary too during my elementary, high school and college days. I remember, nung HS, every year ako may bagong diary. Every year kasi napupuno talaga yung notebook ko kasi dami nasusulat na kaartehan.. nakakatuwa tuloy balikan yung past. Pero nung college, isang diary na lang sa buong 4 years na yun.. ganun ako ka-studious nun kasi wala na time sa pagsusulat sa diary <char> hahaha:)) Nung review ko, nagsusulat pa rin ako pero hindi na sya "Dear Diary" kundi "Dear Jesus" na. Parang ganun pa rin naman sya, sinusulat ko pa rin mga nangyayari sa akin, mga happy thoughts ko, mga sad memories.. etc... pero ina-address ko na sya kay God. Parang it's my way of praying and communicating to Him ba.. hehe.. hanggang ngayon ganun pa rin ako.. nagsusulat pa rin ako ng diary for jesus.. hehe.. sarap sa feeling after ko magshare ng feelings sa notebook ko.. hehe:))

I used to have a diary back in gradeschool and now i just blog online. That way i get to asses my plans for the year, if nasusunod ko ba or hindi, if that is what i really wanted from the start. It helps me release my inner feelings too. When i write kasi minsan kapag mahaba na sumasakit na kamay ko

I did. we started when we we're in college, together to with my boyfie (now hubby na), almost everyday nagsusulat kami usually ako muna then siya naman tapos we'll both read it the following day.. kakatuwa lang, mind you its still with us, sometimes if I need some cheering up I still read those.

I do. I had one back in high school and college, which I tried so hard to keep from my mom's prying eyes. Then, I started blogging, but I realized that unless set in private, I really can't consider it a diary-diary, may censored parts pa rin kasi. Tapos back in 2010, I was diagnosed with hypertension, and faced with mortality, I started keeping a diary again.

@Cuppie cake, you're so right, kakatuwang basahin ang mga entries. I recently re-read yung college diary ko, and I was laughing at one entry where I said that if [name initial] would ask me to marry him, I would, right then and there. The funny thing is, I couldn't even remember whom was I referring to, given that I used initials. And I'm so amused at my willingness to marry him kahit hindi ko sya boyfriend. WTF was I thinking?! Hahahaha! The follies of my youth.

im 28 years old now and i started keeping diary when im in high school pa, 15 years old yata.. maraming masasaya at jologs days kang maaalala when u read it again. haha! the worst thing that happen to me, is nung nabasa.. i mean binasa ni bf yong diary ko. nalaman nya na nakipag date ako sa iba! hahaha huli! nag away kami kasi syempre nakipag date ako sa iba, inaway ko rin sya kasi bakit nya pinakialaman diary ko diba!?

me too! i keep a diary, nasimulan ko nung elementary pero paputol-putol. Then nung highschool, nagsusulat lang ako pag may important happenings or super depressed. I'm in college now, halos araw-araw na ako nagsusulat, may nabasa kasi akong journal ng friend nainspire ako sa kanya dahil ang galing niyang magsulat! ayun  pati tuloy ako!
I'm now addicted to colorful pens and ang mga journal ko n rin mga cute and colorful na galing sa china or korea.

I have started this keepsake since highschool and writing on it everyday. This year I also stared blogging but Im still maintaining my diary kasi there are things pa rin talaga na you can't share with just anybody.

Yung diary ko is really a daily record of events. hirap nga pag magkabacklog eh. Yung 2010 diary ko, hirap akong ihabol kasi mga 4 or 5 months ata yung hindi ko nasulatan Since grade 6 yata o 1st year HS yung mga diaries ko na nakatago pa rin. Nung college, sa planner ko na lang nilalagay (where I write my assignments/deadlines) then after graduation, nahumaling ako sa starbucks planner kaya yun na ang ginagamit ko. For this year 2011, Belle De Jour naman ang diary ko
