Thanks purple girl for the feedback. We already have an appointment with Building Blocks.  Our dev pedia suggested Communicare. Kaso mas mahal nga ang assessment - P2500 and session-650. I think parking and public transportation are easier in Filinvest. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Overtime...But someone sent me a PM. I cant reply probably because of restricted settings? All the therapy centers I contacted had available slots for OT. ST lang ang walang mga slots.

my son has 2x a wk ABA, 2x a wk OT and 1x a wk Speech. Malaki nga rin improvement ng son ko sa ABA kahit na 2 months pa lang siya nag ABA, while 8 months na siya nag o-OT. sumusunod na siya sa mga commands (mostly sa mga "no, don't do that"...) may improvement na siya sa mga paggawa ng sounds like "a, o, e, m". nonverbal pa kasi ang son ko.  mas mabili talaga ang improvements kapag may ABA din. mejo mas gagastos nga lang

Hi, Sunday and Monday lang pahinga ng son ko. He started sa ABA nya when he was 1.8months old and before 5x a week ang ABA nya. I decided na mag take din sya ng OT due to my work schedule, dito lang kasi sa may amin ang GOALS-Caloocan. Ito schedule nya:

Tuesday - 2 hours ABA
Wednesday - 2 hours ABA - Home based
                  - 1 hour OT - PM sched
Thursday - 1 hour OT - PM
Friday - 2 hours ABA
Saturday - 2 hours ABA.

I will be enrolling him sa summer school since sabi ng DevPed nya na ready na sya for school. Attentive na kasi sya and nakaka-sit still and communicate kung ano ang gusto. So, for April mag summer school sya ng 3x a week. He understands naman kung ano yung mga sinasabi sa kanya, inuutusan na nga namin dito sa bahay. Lagi na nyang nasasabi ang gusto nya and nakakapag sabi na sya ng isang full na sentence. Dati kasi hindi talaga. Pero ngayon he can say, I want milk or Help please, Go out please...mga ganun na requests. If you ask him to keep quiet and do this and that, he knows how to respond and sinusunod na nya. Active na rin sya sa mga circle time nila sa therapy. Yung speech kasi pwede sya pag medyo malaki na sya. Mahahatak naman kasi sya pag nag start na sya mag school, so baka next year na sya mag speech.

Hi! Yes, it was recommended by his DevPedia yung ABA. Some DevPedia will suggest OT lang pero kasi sa son ko kailangan ma-target yung bahavior nya that time. Maganda kasi ang naging effect sa kanya ng ABA eh. He was diagnosed to be in the spectrum of ASD. Kagagaling lang namin sa DevPedia nya last week and sabi na my son is high functioning so pwede na mag school. Marunong na naman kasi sya magsalita eh. Verbal na kasi talaga sya and it's because of ABA. Last year lang as in hindi nya masabi ang name nya pero now, he can pronounce his full name. As in yung 3 nyang name. Eh ilang syllables yun diba? he can also say what he wants and nae-express na nya kung ano ang gusto nya. Less hyper na rin and less na ang tantrums, I guess kasi naiintindihan na namin kung ano yung gusto nya so nakaka pag communicate na kami ng maayos. He can count from 1-100 and then he knows the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, animals and so on. Fast learner kasi sya eh and high functioning. Whenever I teach him something, he'll get it kaagad. May reasoning na rin sya minsan. When you tell him na hindi pwede this or that, he'll ask you..."why mommy?". Kakatuwa na nga eh.

Hi sis, my son goes to PCDP (Partners in Child Development and Progress). They are located in East Capitol Drive in Pasig. In front of Three Sisters and nasa baba ng building nila yung Ninak and Epic Coffee.

Kasi ako sis, I just follow what his DevPed advised eh. As of now kasi we don't need a speech therapist. We will find that later on once nag start na sya mag school ng full time. Pinapag-school na kasi son ko kasi he is ready na daw. Son ko naman kasi nakakapag salita na, he just have a hard time expressing his thoughts.

ABA kasi changes the behavior of the kid. Behaviors are learned, behaviors can be unlearned and it can be modified. So yun ang binabago ng ABA.

More on reinforcements sya. Most special kids kasi iba ang behavior talaga nila. They have a hard time controlling their actions and expressing what they want. ABA changes that and at the same time, teaches kids how to ask for something. Kasi yung son ko, iiyak yan ng grabe dati pag di nya nakukuha ang gusto nya. Problem is, di ko alam ang gusto nya kasi di pa nya kaya i-express ang sarili nya thru words. He started with sign languages whenever he would ask for milk. So, whenever he wants milk, he'll do that sign. Later on, inalis na nila yun and nag try mag sabi nga words like milk and then now, dapat ang sasabihin nya..."I want milk" if ever he wants some.

Gradual yung process pero from a non-verbal kid nung 1.8months sya, sobrang talkative na ng son ko. Nabago na rin behavior nya. Di na sya takot sa tao or sa malls. Aware na sya sa environment nya.

You can google Partners in Child Development and Progress and andun ang number nila. Your kid needs to be assessed muna and then dun na mag start. Malayo nga lang kasi Pasig pero kami nga Caloocan, sinasadya pa talaga namin. Maganda kasi ang effect ng ABA sa son ko.

For now kasi sis, he's only 35 months eh. As far as I know, it's too soon to tell. Kasi baka nga naman delayed lang talaga ang speech nya. Ang nakalagay kasi sa assessment nya is communication problem lang talaga. I forgot yung term na nakalagay and probability ASD sya. High functioning kasi he can talk and follow instructions. He has a hard time socializing with other kids and apaka hyper nya. Kasi may kids na nasa spectrum na wala talagang sinasabi or they don't communicate, hirap sa eye to eye contact and SPED talaga ang classes. Marami sya kasi classes under the spectrum, you just have to know kung san ang kid mo dun. Pwede din naman Global Developmental Delay lang. Depende talaga. Yung anak ko kasi he's too young. Your kid naman din is too young pa rin. Pero early intervention talaga is the key to helping them. Ako kasi sinabihan dati na pwede din naman hindi i-therapy. Discretion ko daw yun and antayin ko na lang magsalita. Syempre ako, gusto ko makasigurado. Pinag therapy ko na sya kaagad. Iniisip ko na lang parang nag school lang sya ng apaka aga. It worked naman sa kanya kasi. I am happy with ABA.

Yung per session nya is 450 pag center based and then 500 pag home based + transportation ng teacher. 2 hours ang session nya lagi per day.

Extremely disappointed with this school. How could they teach children discipline well in fact these people don't have any discipline at all!? Staff were really lousy in scheduling. In the 3rd time, my Mom was ask to return with a new schedule on the time & day of my daughter's appointment. How cruel is that! I just don't understand why they can't take phone call or text messages to inform their CLIENTS that the appointments will be cancelled or reschedule. To Med Mom try to be considerate and learn respect other's people time, this way too much.

 My son has been undergoing speech therapy for 7months and has greatly improved.  Based on his most recent assessment from his DevPed, everything else is either ave or high ave, except for language which improved from borderline to below average.  The doctor recommended to continue the therapy for "fine tuning" nalang because sometimes when he talks there are words na Hindi padin maintindihan. Though he can talk na in sentences, etc. We are actually contemplating on stopping na with the SP sessions albeit the DevPeds recommendation since he will be going to school full time already and I feel na he's pretty much ok na naman with his speech.

Anyways, I am just curious if all therapy centers are the same na they conduct the session in a cubicle Lang and not in rooms. I asked this because na strestress un son ko during his therapy sessions because may kasabay sya na nagwawala the whole time everytime (don't get me wrong ha, I have utmost respect for kids with special needs). I sat in his last therapy session and pati ako nastress sa iyak and my son and validated na kaya recently super hesitant son ko to go to he session by himself.  Have you guys encountered the same situation and what did you do? No option for another sched e.

Hi! Mommies, I need feedback re the following therapy center Med-Mom, Therabilities and We Speak Centers. My 19 month old baby was diagnosed GDD with ASD. He'll be undergoing OT 3x/weekly and Speech & Theraphy Language 2x/weekly. Among those centers my recommended teachers ba kayo?

My 2 years old son will start his OT tomorrow sa skills. he was diagnosed with ASD. Based sa mga nabasa ko some of your kids had OT as well as ABA. hope you dont mind me asking, honestly hindi naman ganun kalaki ang sweldo namin ni hubby and nagrerent lang din kami ng bahay. Yong fee kasi sa OT for an hour is 600 and i inquired kanina sa teamworks they offering ABA home based which is 2 hours tapos 600 din. twice a week ang schedule ng son ko sa OT. So kung sa OT 2 hours weekly tapos ABA 4 hours but same ng bayad parang mas gusto ko na mag ABA nalang yung son ko. Don't get me wrong mga sis, since ang recommended ng Dedped nya is OT and pag ok na yung attention span nya then we will proceed to speech therapy. sa nabasa ko dito na effective yung ABA especially from mommy towberry, hindi talaga namin kakayanin na pagsabayin ang ABA and OT. What do you think mommies?

hi sis incywincymommy, yung son ko di sya ng ABA pure OT lang sya and ST. so far ok naman. nagschool na yung anak ko di man sya nasa honor list pero matataas grades nya. pag ABA kasi mostly ata behavior ang target not sure though kasi OT lang naman din ang recommendation ng DevPed nya. Try mo muna sya sa OT and if after ilang session wala kang makitang improvement then saka ka magdecide if he really needs ABA.
